Visualization of Data Quality and Uncertainty in Decision Support Systems

• in the best way to the decision situation. The examination of which type of data to include and the working out of algoritms are thoroughly carried out. However, the error propagation involved in poor data quality can deteriorate dramatically the accuracy of the output results. The user of the decision support system is often unaware of the weaknesses and deficiencies in data quality. In this paper analysis and evaluation of data quality is discussed. Further, the paper introduces visualisation aids into the decision support system to help augment our awareness of the underlying data quality in decision support systems and help in guiding our focus of attention.
