- The article describes and discusses the learning potential of unofficial techno-literacy activities in the classroom with regards to Swedish 7–8-year-olds’ exploration of semiotic resources when interacting with computers. In classroom contexts where every child works with his or her own computer, such activities tend to take up a substantial amount of time. The children have access to a wide range of sites and programs and show an interest in discovering these resources. The article thus explores a previously often neglected site for learning, located in the official classroom context but involving self-chosen activities with contemporary technology. In terms of theory and methodology, social semiotic ethnography is introduced into the field of young children’s techno-literacies. It is illustrated how a social semiotic approach allows for a more detailed analysis of the semiotic resources, whereas ethnographic data are necessary for an understanding of how such resources are put to use.

- The prohibition on loans and its accompanying exemptions was introduced in Swedish company law 40 years ago and has since been the target of relentless criticism from Swedish company law scholars. The critique is mainly directed against its scope of application, the tax related motives and the sanctions. In fact, its very existence has been questioned. The prohibition has been referred to as peculiar and irregular, and the same might be said for the different approaches to amend it. This short paper aims to discuss some of the issues regarding the prohibition and to address some of the questions regarding the minority shareholder protection in relation to the prohibition.

- Styrelseledamöter har ett antal skyldigheter när ett aktiebolag får ekonomiska svårigheter. Vilka regler som aktualiserar bolagsledningens ansvar beror på om ett aktiebolag har betalningsproblem eller balansproblem. Avseende balansproblemet finns regler om så kallat medansvar för styrelseledamöter och andra företrädare i 25 kap. aktiebolagslagen (2005:551). Syftet med kapitalbristreglerna är att tillse en snabb avveckling av ett kapitalsvagt aktiebolag och därvid skydda borgenärskollektivet. Utöver medansvarsreglerna finns det regler om skadeståndsansvar för bland andra styrelseledamöter för skador de åsamkar bolaget, aktieägare eller andra, exempelvis borgenärer. Vid ett aktiebolags betalningsproblem aktualiseras obeståndsrelaterade ansvarsregler i de fall betalningsoförmågan inte bedöms vara endast tillfällig. Härvid kan särskilt nämnas borgenärsbrotten i 11 kap. brottsbalken (1962:700), vilka förutsätter gäldenärens obestånd eller att påtaglig fara för obestånd föreligger. Därtill aktualiserar den särskilda oförmågan att betala förfallna skatteskulder det skatterättsliga företrädaransvaret i 59 kap. skatteförfarandelagen (2011:1244) (SFL) och för det räcker att betalningsoförmågan är endast tillfällig. Avhandlingen syftet är att systematisera och utvärdera reglerna om skyldigheter och personligt ansvar för styrelseledamöter när bolaget befinner sig i insolvenszonen, det vill säga när det är risk för obestånd eller obestånd är ett faktum. I syftet ingår att undersöka regleringens ändamålsenlighet.

Evaluating Physical Workload by Position During Match in Elite Bandy

- To improve current understandings of physical workload (WL) in elite bandy, 10 bandy players were monitored for heart rate (HR) during 13 matches over 1 championship season. Participants were divided into 5 subgroups according to playing position-libero, defender, halves, midfielder, and forward. Heart rate measurements were analyzed with 2 different methods to compute physical WL-(a) percentage of total time spent in different HR zones (HRres) and (b) WL based on the Edwards method. Also determined was the time spent at HR levels above the lactate threshold (LT). A one-way analysis of variance was used for analysis. For WL, according to the Edwards method, significant differences (p = 0.05) were shown between the groups with defenders presenting the highest scores, and forwards and liberos the lowest. A significant difference (p = 0.05) was found between liberos and halves and the other positions as to how much time they spent in zone 70-80% of HRres. In 91-100% of HRres, there was a distinct difference between defenders and the other positions and also forwards differed significantly from liberos, defenders, and halves (p = 0.05). The libero spent only 1% of the time over the LT, whereas the midfielder spent approximately 27% of the time over the LT. Overall, defenders showed the greatest WL during a match and liberos the lowest. The practical implications of these findings can help coaches and trainers design training methods specific to each position and individualized training sessions for each player in elite bandy.

Can people with disabilities gain from education? : Similarities and differences between occupational attainment among persons with and without disabilities

- BACKGROUND: More knowledge is needed of occupational attainment of persons with disabilities, i.e. the relationship between their educational level and their profession, and factors of importance for this relationship.OBJECTIVE: To compare occupational attainment among persons with and without a disability.METHOD: 3396 informants with disabilities and 19004 non-disabled informants participated (control group) in a survey study by Statistics Sweden. The informants with disabilities were divided into six groups.RESULTS: Occupational attainment did not differ between the disability groups, neither between persons with and without a disability. Follow-up analysis showed that men with disabilities with primary or secondary school had an occupation above their educational level to a significantly larger extent than women with disabilities. This pattern was even clearer in comparison with the control group. Persons without disabilities, with secondary or higher education, were more successful in the labor market than persons with disabilities. Occupational attainment increased with age in both groups.CONCLUSIONS: Young women with disabilities who only have primary or secondary education run a higher risk of having a job that is below their educational level than men at the same educational level. This indicates discriminating mechanisms in the society related to gender and ability.

- The employment status of groups with different disabilities wasanalysed as were potentially important moderating factors (workability, structural and individual factors). A secondary analy-sis was performed on 4359 respondents with disabilities fromStatistics Sweden's Labour Market Investigation. The respondentswere divided into six disability groups (communicative-hearing,communicative-speech-reading, communicative-vision, psycho-logical disability, medical disability, physical disability). Logisticregression analyses showed that the probability of being employedwas highest among respondents with hearing disabilities andrespondents with psychological disabilities were least likely tobe employed. Being a woman (very young or old) with onlyprimary education and with partially or very impaired workability, reduced employment opportunities. Higher education didnot increase employment opportunities for respondents withimpaired work ability. In summary, the type of disability is essentialfor employment opportunities, and differences between disabil-ity groups cannot be explained by differences in other variables.

- The overall aim of this thesis is to explore how the labour market situation appears to persons with different types of disabilities in Sweden. Study I (n=4 359) examined the importance of the person’s type of disability for the possibility of having a job. Study II (n=3 396) examined whether there were differences in occupational attainment between persons with different types of disabilities and between persons with and without a disability (n=19 004). Study III (n=4 359) examined perceived discrimination in the workplace among persons with different types of disabilities. Study IV (n=2 268) examined whatsupport and adaptation persons with different types of disabilities need in their actual workplace or to enter the labour market. In studies I–III the respondents were divided into six disability types, and in study IV the respondents were divided into four disability types.Overall, it can be concluded that a person’s type of disability is of importance for the situation in the labour market, where persons with psychological disabilities encounter barriers to a greater extent than other groups, both difficulties at the present workplace and difficulties entering the labour market. Further, they were subjected to discrimination and they expressed a great need for adaptations to acquire employment and at their actual workplace. It can also be concluded that there are discriminatory mechanisms against women, who have more difficulties than men in acquiring employment, and that men, despite lower education, can more easily progress in the labour market. It is suggested that, in order to achieve inclusion and recognition, factors in the environment, such as existing support systems, need to be changed and developed, and social prejudices vis-à-vis people with disabilities must also be addressed.
