• Den praktiknära forskningens bidrag till läraryrkets kunskapsbas : en analys av kunskapsprodukter från kollaborativ didaktisk forskning
• Ingår i: Pedagogisk forskning i Sverige. - 1401-6788 .- 2001-3345.
• Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract

• PERCIFAL: Visual analysis of space, light and colour
• 2011
• Ingår i: AIC 2011, Interaction of Colour & Light in the Arts and Sciences, Midterm Meeting of the International Colour Association, Zurich, Switzerland, 7–10 June 2011: Conference Proceedings, CD. - Zurich : pro/colore, 2011. ; , s. 229-232
• Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
• This paper addresses the need for better and more accurate methods of recording and analyzing the visual experience of architectural space. PERCIFAL (Perceptive Spatial Analysis of Colour and Light) is an ongoing project that aims at developing a method of analysis that can capture coherent spatial experiences of colour and light. The starting point for PERCIFAL is a method of visual evaluation of space and light, developed by Professor Anders Liljefors at the former department of architectural lighting at KTH Architecture. PERCIFAL is based on direct visual observations and the recording of these observations by verbal-semantic descriptions using a questionnaire. It has been developed primarily as an educational tool, but we see in it potential for a design tool for professionals as well as for an analytical method for research. The first test results, conducted in Sweden, Norway and Finland, show that the method has significant pedagogical merits and that it allows interesting comparisons between physical measurements and visual experiences of space, light and colour.

• Atelier Art et re-action (Area) : Performing Urban Routines and Rituals
• 2020
• Ingår i: Ambiances, Alloæsthesia:Senses, Inventions, Worlds.
• Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
• This paper presents a series of contemporary artistic methods and collective actions based on the pioneering work of the French avantgarde group Art et action (Aea, 1919-1939). Aea actively responded to the fast-changing society of their time through their innovative “theatre laboratory”, an experimental artistic research environment in which actors and audience were invited to investigate together the rhythmic order of urban routines and rituals, through the re-enactment of daily urban atmospheres. Based on Aea’s methods and concepts, atelier Area aims at responding to today’s deep physical, sensorial and social transformation of the city by re-acting contemporary urban routines and rituals through public improvisations and interventions. Three concrete examples will be presented here.

• Espèces d’Espaces / Species of Spaces : The sonic space experienced, projected, imagined
• 2022
• Ingår i: Proceedings of the International Conference Landscape and Sustainability: Listening to Multiplicity. UAM, Madrid, 13-19/10/2022 (in press).
• Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
• Espèces d’Espaces is an artistic research project funded by Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts & Design. Its overall focus is the experience of sonic spaces, the intimate relation between body, surrounding space and its exclusive sonic expression. With a practice-based approach, this project pays specific attention to physic acoustics auralisation methods and tools (3D virtual sonic modelling) with an aim to explore in particular how can these processes be transposed to the realm of artistic research. As a part of this project, I shared a case study based on a specific space and construction: a XVIIth century cloister preserved today as a central element of the extension of Museo del Prado in Madrid as planned by architect Rafael Moneo in the early 2000s. This case study starts thus in the realm of traditional architectural acoustics, for later performing a series of experiments in the form of spatial and temporal variations and displacements. Experiments based on a number of artistic architectural (alternative realities of a space) and sonic/musical practices including improvisation or electroacoustic composition.

• 3Ecologies: Visualizing sustainability factors and futures
• 2010. - 9
• Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
• ‘3Ecologies’ makes visible factors affecting the sustainability of consumer products. Within engineering and economics, there are a variety of models for analyzing and ‘predicting’ the environmental factors such as energy, emissions and waste involved during production, consumption and disposal. We develop an expanded model, which emphasizes human impact and choices as well as potential consequences and futures. Psychological, sociological and environmental factors are mapped over time – throughout the lifespan (production, purchase, use, and disposal) and the extended lifecycle(s) of products. Case studies of familiar products in everyday life are developed to demonstrate the conceptual model, and three applications are proposed to reach designers, consumers and the general public. 3Ecologies uses diagrams and narratives to visualize the history and possible futures of products, including natural disintegration, active recycling and unexpected adaptations – an alternative view upon the ‘life’ of things that we might ordinarily take for granted.

• (De)sign responses as response diversity
• 2020
• Ingår i: Biosemiotics. - : Springer. - 1875-1342 .- 1875-1350. ; :13, s. 41-62
• Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
• This article addresses the use of the ecological notion of ‘response diversity’ (Elmqvist et al. Frontiers in Ecology and the Environment, 1(9), 488–494, 2003) to develop a biocentric approach for natural-artificial continuums through the practice of design. The article elaborates upon examples from the project Dispersal machines, part of my postdoctoral research entitled Symbiotic tactics. Dispersal machines proposed two complementary artificial systems that were conceived to minimize the damages by a moth (Spodoptera frugiperda) on crops (corn and soy predominantly) in the agroecosystems of Córdoba, Argentina. The proposals were ideated to biologically control this species by interventions that disseminate and/or host species that predate or parasitize the moth at different stages of its life cycle: a diurnal response, based on the dissemination of parasitized eggs of the moth by a minute wasp (Telenomus remus), as well as a nocturnal response, based on the placement of refuges for bats that feed on the adult moth. Considering these design interventions through the notion of ‘semethic interaction’ (Hoffmeyer 2008) as it relates to the more general term, ‘semiosphere’, the article reflects upon (de)sign as a signifying activity and design’s ‘response-ability’ (Haraway 2016), to speculate upon ways to devise and acknowledge inter-species co-adaptive possibilities.

• Ecologizing, Decolonizing : An Artefactual Perspective
• 2017
• Ingår i: NORDES 2017.
• Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
• In this paper I present a design project developed in Córdoba, Argentina, entitled ‘Spices-Species’. Through this case study, I discuss the possibility of designing using two decolonial strategies —"objectivity (or truth) in parenthesis" and " being where one does and thinks"— that can lead to delinking, on a micropolitical scale, from colonial social patterns as well as reconnecting humans with natural processes and beings to which they are detached by means of devices. The paper suggests that these decolonial strategies, combined with the performance of designed artefacts may help to acknowledge not only human diversity, but also the multiple and diverse nonhuman beings that conform and participate in different localities.
