  • Internet of Things architecture challenges : A systematic review
  • 2021
  • Ingår i: International Journal of Communication Systems. - : John Wiley and Sons Ltd. - 1074-5351 .- 1099-1131. ; 34:4
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The Internet of Things (IoT) is a rapidly growing trend within many domains, such as automotive, avionics, automation, energy, and health. IoT architecture is the system of numerous elements, including sensors, protocols, actuators, cloud services, and layers. IoT architecture plays an important role to provide desired services. Nowadays, tens of IoT architectures are provided by the research community. Many challenges have been identified by the research community, including interoperability, security and privacy, reliability, energy constraints, scalability, and lack of common standards. However, to provide suitable IoT architecture, the importance and priority of requirements in different scenarios may vary, and requirement analysis should be regarded. To this end, this paper presents a systematic mapping survey to give a review of IoT architecture and provide a structured overview of research trends. Moreover, a technical taxonomy is presented for these challenges according to reviewed studies. This classification model can be used as a guideline for future works.

  • Real-time collision-free multi-objective robot motion generation
  • 2021
  • Ingår i: Advanced Human-Robot Collaboration in Manufacturing. - Cham : Springer Nature. ; , s. 115-139
  • Bokkapitel (övrigt vetenskapligt/konstnärligt)abstract
    • Despite safe mechanical design being necessary for collaborative robots, one should not underestimate the importance of active safety due to a multi-objective control design. Active safety not only complements mechanical compliance but also enables classical industrial robots to fulfil additional task-space objectives. Through a task-space controller based on a quadratic programming (QP) formulation, the proposed approach assigns strict priority to avoid collisions and specifies other QP objectives with soft task priorities. Through experiments performed on a dual-arm robot, the proposed solution can generate safe robot motion while fulfilling other task specifications.

  • ATLAS H8 Testbeam data analysis combining information from the liquid argon calorimeter and a Monitored Drift Tube muon tracking chamber
  • 2007
  • Ingår i: Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A. - : Elsevier BV. - 0168-9002 .- 1872-9576. ; A572:1, s. 117-119
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The 2004 H8 Testbeam setup is used as a test ground of various aspects of the ATLASdetector. The H8 study program focuses on sub-detector and trigger system performance in combined and standalone mode, as well as offline reconstruction and analysis, but leaves also space for specialized studies and experimental setups. In a dedicated setup,a BIS type Monitored Drift Tube chamber was placed in front of the Liquid ArgonCalorimeter and was attached to its support structure. The aim of this project is to perform positioning measurements of the Liquid Argon Calorimeter electrodes using the trackinformation from the BIS muon chamber. Moreover, the goal is to study the performance of the chamber in positron and muon beams at different beam incident angles. Last but not least, we investigate the correlation between the position of the cluster barycenter in the Liquid Argon and the reconstructed track in the BIS chamber.

  • Validation of a CFD Code Star-CCM+ for Liquid Lead-Bismuth Eutectic Thermal-Hydraulics Using TALL-3D Experiment
  • 2014
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The engineering design, performance analysis and safety assessment of Generation IV heavy liquid metal cooled nuclear reactors calls for advanced and qualified numerical tools. These tools need to be qualified before used in decision making process. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) codes provide detailed means for thermal-hydraulics analysis of pool-type nuclear reactors. This paper describes modeling of a forced to natural flow experiment in TALL-3D experimental facility using a commercial CFD code Star-CCM+. TALL-3D facility is 7 meters high LBE loop with two parallel hot legs and a cold leg. One of the hot legs accommodates the 3D test section, a cylindrical pool where the multi-dimensional flow conditions vary between thermal mixing and stratification depending on the mass flow rate and the power of the heater surrounding the pool. The pool outlet temperature which affects the natural convection flow rates in the system is governed by the flow structure in the pool. Therefore, in order to predict the dynamics of the TALL-3D facility it is crucial to resolve the flow inside the 3D test section. Specifically designed measurement instrumentation set-up provides steady state and transient data for calibration and validation of numerical models. The validity of the CFD model is assessed by comparing the computational results to experimental results.

  • The Current Corporate Income Tax Rule Architecture & Automated,Real-Time Taxation – Would the Necessary Prerequisites of Today’s TaxRules Have to Be Changed?
  • 2023. - 1
  • Ingår i: Proceedings from the First Annual International FIRE Conference. - Uppsala : Iustus förlag. - 9789177372639 ; , s. 127-142
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Income taxation handled by AI and carried out in real time(ARTT) is promising in many ways. It could, for example, save a lot oftime and money for both companies and tax administrations, be based onfacts rather than estimates and probably also help prevent economic crime. But what are the obstacles and how would taxes and taxation actually workin such a context? This chapter includes a discussion on whether currentsubstantial corporate income tax rules are compatible with ARTT or if theirdesign will have to be changed to make it possible to apply them based onautomatically generated data. It is argued that many of today’s tax rules arenot suitable for an ARTT context and that significant changes in currentincome tax principles are probably required for ARTT to work.
