(Bauman 2000, Giddens, 1991) In this environment individuals also faces risks to be exposed to divorce in close relationships. This outline for a study will examine how life-style journalism interact with discussions about divorce on an internet forum in Sweden.Giddens (1991) writes that even self-identity is at stake in late-modern societies, because the reflexive individual is considered to create his own autobiography from a greater number of options which the self must constantly make revisions in relation to. The marriage is under negotiation and is characterized as a transition to the so-called pure relationship where only the love to another should be the guiding principle. Late-modernity itself is a risk culture which challenge individuals trust mechanisms.(Beck 1986, Giddens, 1991) Individual´s are exposed to the risk that their marriage can be dissolved, and after a divorce the self faces challenges to establish trust in another human being. Giddens believes that the media plays a very significant role when self-identity is shaped, and the media also help define social reality and patterns of social interaction. Late modernity itself fundamentally change the everyday life of individuals, and personal aspects of our experience has become mediatized to a greater extent than before. Mediatization has emerged as a new research agenda within media studies, and the concept can be understood from different perspectives and at different levels in society. It is often regarded as a middle-range theory in need to be defined, and also adapted to the prevailing condition of studies on an increasing number of issues. Social institutions and cultural processes have changed character in response to the media having greater authority to define social processes. (Hjarvard 2013, Couldry & Hepp, 2017) Mediated experience is created and penetrates into individual experience, self-identity och everyday life. Late-modernity and mediatization har led to more and more media becoming a part of the individual´s everyday life, and media texts and images becomes part of the individual´s identity contruction. (Fornäs, 2015). Digitalization and Web 2.0 has given individual´s the option to discuss, for example, on internet forums and to write and get response about their life experiences and challenges. The construction of the self and the media are woven into our private lives. Virtually all of human experiences are mediated by socialization, but also in language.(Giddens, 1991) In this study on media in Sweden discussion treads about divorce on the internet forum www.familjeliv.se are to be examined together with life-style journalism in supplements to tabloids (Expressen Söndag and Aftonbladet Söndag). The aim is to try to understand how individuals communicate an eminently traumatic period in their lives where their self-identity is at stake, and how in a wider context this becomes a discursive construction in interface with the tabloids. The study uses a critical discourse analysis (CDA) and an analysis of visual and linguistic elements in order to thematizise the material and to make close readings of texts. In the visual analysis the symbolic interaction between the observer and observed are to be studied, where photos and illustrations are of interest. Camera angles and the distance to the images are to be interpreted, as well as the demands, requests and offers that are made visible. (Björkvall, 2012) The linguistic elements found in texts on the internet forum and in the supplements to the tabloids are to be examined on a lexical level and the texts modality and evaluation is also of interest.(Fairclough, 1991)

- Social media are becoming an increasingly relevant channel for user involvement. However, their uptake in Living Labs environments, as a means to engage users in innovation processes, is still limited. The aim of this paper is to explore challenges and opportunities related to the usage of social media for user involvement in co-creative processes, The findings presented emerge both from the available literature and case studies, and emphasise four different dimensions influencing user engagement: facilitator, community, platform and innovation process. Based on these dimensions, the authors propose a basic framework, intended as the point of departure for taking the next step toward the construction and verification of theoretical constructs that can help inform and guide future innovation projects.

- The award-winning novels Legenden om Sally Jones (2008; The Legend of Sally Jones, 2018) and Mördarens apa (2014; The Murderer’s Ape, 2017) written and illustrated by Jakob Wegelius present a thought-provoking interplay between verbal and visual narration. However, an online data collection of blog posts and online reviews reveals that readers discuss the verbal narration and intersectional themes in these novels, but often overlook the pictures.This study contributes to the discussion of narrative interaction by juxtaposing analyses of pictures in the novels and online comments by readers on these literary works. The material thus consists of comments by non-professional writers, and the degree and type of attention paid to narrative interaction in these comments is foregrounded. In order to examine the word/image interaction in Wegelius’ novels, Maria Nikolajeva and Carole Scott’s typology for interaction is used on a selection of images and, when possible, on readers’ responses to these novels.The results show that in the material, the verbal narration is privileged. Less than a third of the online material explicitly comments on the visual narration. Even fewer readers comment on the relationship between the verbal and the visual narration. The study presents potential explanations to the relative absence of comments on the visual narration in these literary works. A likely explanation is that the readers perceive the symmetrical and enhancing relation between the verbal and the visual narration, and, thus, the readers consider the visual narration redundant or an add-on. Therefore, the article highlights the continuous need for explicit training in visual literacy, as the interaction between words and images has a bearing on the narration.

Accessibility and self-archiving of conference articles : A study on a selection of Swedish institutional repositories

- The main purpose of this project has been to examine the accessibility of refereed conference articles and the OA- and publishing policies of conferences in order to in this way elucidate different aspects concerning self-archiving in Swedish institutional repositories. For this purpose, the project participants have examined a number of conferences and references to conference articles via their institutional repositories during a specific time period and described these from the perspective of a common scheme. The study has showed that the local institutional repositories fill an important role to make conference publications visible. We have found that ca. 50% of the conference papers can be published as postprints in our institutional repositories. We have noticed that ca. 15% or the studied conference articles are not available at all. It is, therefore, of great importance to use local institutional repositories as a publishing channel, not only for primary published material such as dissertations and reports, but also as a source for finding these conference articles "without a home". Between 20-25% of the examined articles were found in some type of OA archive; ca. half of these were found in one of the project participants' own institutional repositories. This indicates that the publishing database of respective higher education institution is an important factor for open accessibility. Ca. 10% of the conferences in the study had an explicit OA policy or expressed such a policy by openly making conference articles accessible on their conference sites. A big problem when it comes to self-archiving of conference articles is the lack of information about OA policy. The landscape of conference publishing is complex and the self-archiving of documents from conferences is very time-consuming. Above all, we would wish a policy resource for conferences similar to the SHERPA/RoMEO. At present, however, there is no other alternative than scrutinizing the conferences' copyright information to the authors and from this attempt to draw conclusions about possible self-archiving. To facilitate the future handling and classification of conference articles in Swedish institutional repositories a number of recommendations are suggested.

- Products designed for long-life often have significant potential for better sustainability performance than standard products due to less material and energy usage for a given service provided, which usually also results in a lower total cost. These benefits are not always obvious or appealing to customers, who often focus on price. Long-life products are therefore at an inherent disadvantage: due to lower volume of sales that results from the products’ longer-life, the margins (price) often need to be higher. In this paper, we demonstrate that when the revenue base is shifted to be the service of light (instead of the sales of light tubes), there is an opportunity for a “win-win-win” for the light user, the long-life light provider and society. Through a product-service system approach, resulting in a well-communicated total offer, the full array of benefits becomes clearer to the customer, including that they avoid the high initial cost.

- Many current sustainability considerations in industry constrain design space by emphasizing reduced material and energy flows across product life cycles. However, there are also opportunities for sustainability awareness to extend design space and drive innovation. Product-service systems (PSS) in particular can be a vehicle through which sustainability-driven innovation occurs. A framework for strategic sustainable development, including a backcasting approach, provides the basis for understanding sustainability in this work and provides insight into how incremental and radical approaches could be aligned within product innovation. This work explores how sustainability considerations can be better integrated into existing product innovation working environments, with an emphasis on opportunities that occur as sustainability knowledge leads to innovation through a product-service system approach. It is demonstrated and ideas are discussed around how sustainability can be used to drive innovation processes through product-service systems that companies rely upon, while also supporting global society’s movement toward sustainability.

- Swedish forest owners are a diverse group with regard to activity, education and experience of practical forestry. Urbanization and increased gender equality have also changed the composition of forest owners and their involvement in practical forestry work. Yet, many forest owners perform some kind of practical work on their property. The combination of dangerous work and untrained practitioners has led to a number of serious accidents. As a part of a larger safety campaign, a forest day for absentee forest owners living in the Stockholm area was carried out. Safety and safe working with chainsaws was a core message. To assess the immediate learning effect among different categories of forest owners, a questionnaire and a before-and-after test were used. The results show that those who knew less, female forest owners and non-chainsaw users, learned the most. The study also shows that the use of safety equipment is limited among absentee forest owners and that forest days and courses are important for their conception of safety. During the forest day, men were central experts and women appeared as servants, demonstrating the presence of a masculine hegemony. As the forest owners learned from each other it is important that professional communicators are seen to be the most reliable and trustworthy
