Aborda ainda os diferentes tipos de valor gerado na relação produção-consumo e traz informações para quem aprecia a produção de narrativa transmídia. Por meio da apresentação de dois exemplos europeus, revela que este formato, muitas vezes, aparece em ambientes de produções de serviço público de mídia, sem fi ns lucrativos, enquanto que na indústria commercial da comunicação há maior envolvimento com as elaborações multiplataformas por suas possibilidades lucrativas.This article discusses the phenomenon of transmedia storytelling and adaptations in terms of which values are produced around this specifi c kind of media production, which diff erent kinds of value that is generated in relation to its production and consumptions, and for whom the production of transmedia storytelling and adaptations is ascribed value. Against two European examples of transmedia storytelling it is argued that this narrative form oft en appear in non-profi t motivated public service production environments, whereas the commercial media industry more oft en engage in multi-platform productions, since this type of production makes it easier to meet outer demands of economic kinds.

(author) [Quality of service provided to heart surgery patients of the Unified Health System-SUS] 2010 In: Brazilian Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery. - 0102-7638 .- 1678-9741. ; 25:2, s. 172-182 Journal article (peer-reviewed)abstract OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the service quality provided to heart surgery patients during their hospital stay, identifying the patient's expectations and perceptions. To associate service quality with: gender, age and the use of extracorporeal circulation.METHODS:We studied 82 elective heart surgery patients (52.4% females and 47.6% males), operated by midsternal thoracotomy, age: 31 to 83 years (60.4 +/- 13.2 years); period: March to September 2006. Service quality was evaluated in two instances: the expectations at pre-operative and the perceptions of the service received on the 6th post-operative; through the application of the modified SERVQUAL scale (SERVQUAL-Card). The result was obtained by the difference of the sum of the scores on perception minus those of the expectations, and through statistical analysis.RESULTS:The SERVQUAL-Card scale was statistically validated, showing adequate level of internal consistency. We found a higher frequency of myocardial revascularization 55 (67.0%); first heart surgery 72 (87.8%) and the use of ECC 69 (84.1%). We noticed high mean values for expectations and perceptions with significant results (P<0.05). We observed a significant relationship between the quality of service with: gender, in empathy (P= 0.04) and age, in reliability (P = 0.02). There was no significant association between ECC and quality of service.CONCLUSION:Service quality was satisfactory. The patient demonstrated a high expectation to hospital medical service. Women present a higher perception of quality in empathy and younger people in reliability. The use of ECC is not related to service quality in this sample. The data obtained in this study suggest that the quality of this health service can be monitored through the periodical application of the SERVQUAL scale.

(author) A especialização individual é maior em populações generalistas de posições tróficas intermediárias a altas em peixes tropicais de água doce 2024 In: Austral ecology (Print). - : John Wiley & Sons. - 1442-9985 .- 1442-9993. ; 49:1 Journal article (peer-reviewed)abstract A especialização individual (EI) refere-se à variação intrapopulacional no uso de recursos não relacionada à ontogenia, ao dimorfismo sexual ou à existência de morfotipos definidos. Um nicho amplo aumenta a especialização individual porque os indivíduos podem se segregar no espaço do nicho. Se a posição trófica influenciar a amplitude do nicho, ela restringirá indiretamente o grau de especialização individual. Os níveis tróficos intermediários, geralmente associados à onivoria, podem apresentar menos restrições em seu nicho trófico, o que levaria a altos níveis de especialização individual. Investigamos o grau de especialização individual e sua relação com a posição trófica em 121 populações de peixes pertencentes a 32 espécies do alto rio Tocantins, no Brasil Central. Calculamos a EI usando o índice V com base nos conteúdos estomacais dos indivíduos, sendo que valores próximos a 1 indicam forte EI. A EI oscilou de 0 a 0,87 e variou muito entre as espécies. Mostramos que a amplitude do nicho afeta positivamente a especialização individual de uma população, independentemente de sua posição trófica. As populações que ocupam posições tróficas intermediárias e altas apresentaram os graus mais altos de especialização individual. A onivoria não tem efeito significativo sobre os valores de especialização individual. Nós acreditamos que a intrincada relação entre a especialização individual, a posição trófica e a amplitude do nicho está relacionada à grande oportunidade ecológica e à plasticidade trófica dos peixes tropicais.
