- We present a search for the pair production of scalar top quarks, (t) over tilde, using 995 pb(-1) of data collected in p (p) over bar collisions with the Dempty set detector at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider at root s = 1.96 TeV. Both scalar top quarks are assumed to decay into a charm quark and a neutralino ((chi) over tilde (0)(1)), where (chi) over tilde (0)(1) is the lightest supersymmetric particle. This leads to a final state with two acoplanar charm jets and missing transverse energy. We find the yield of such events to be consistent with the standard model expectation, and exclude sets of (t) over tilde and (chi) over tilde (0)(1) masses at the 95% C.L. that substantially extend the domain excluded by previous searches.

- A data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.1 fb(-1) collected by the D phi detector at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider was analyzed to search for squarks and gluinos produced in p (p) over bar collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 1.96 TeV. No evidence for the production of such particles was observed in topologies involving jets and missing transverse energy, and 95% C.L. lower limits of 379 GeV and 308 GeV were set on the squark and gluino masses, respectively, within the framework of minimal supergravity with tan beta = 3, A(0) = 0, and mu < 0. The corresponding previous limits are improved by 54 GeV and 67 GeV.

- Data collected by the DO detector at a p (p) over bar center-of-mass energy of 1.96 TeV at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider have been used to search for pair production of the lightest supersymmetric partner of the top quark decaying into bl (nu) over tilde. The search is performed in the ll' = e mu and mu mu final states. No evidence for this process has been found in data samples of approximately 400 pb(-1). The domain in the [M((t) over tilde (1)), M((nu) over tilde)] plane excluded at the 95% C.L. is substantially extended by this search.

- We search for the production of a heavy W ' gauge boson that decays to third generation quarks in 0: 9 fb(-1) of p (p) over bar collisions at root s = 1: 96 TeV, collected with the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron collider. We find no significant excess in the final-state invariant mass distribution and set upper limits on the production cross section times branching fraction. For a left-handed W ' boson with SM couplings, we set a lower mass limit of 731 GeV. For right-handed W ' bosons, we set lower mass limits of 739 GeV if the W ' boson decays to both leptons and quarks and 768 GeV if the W ' boson decays only to quarks. We also set limits on the coupling of the W ' boson to fermions as a function of its mass.

- We present the first simultaneous measurement of the ratio of branching fractions, R = B(t --> Wb)/B(t --> Wq), with q being a d, s, or b quark, and the top-quark pair production cross section sigma(t (t) over bar) in the lepton plus jets channel using 0.9 fb(-1) of p (p) over bar collision data at root s = 1.96 TeV collected with the D0 detector. We extract R and sigma(t (t) over bar) by analyzing samples of events with 0, 1, and >= 2 identified b jets. We measure R = 0.97(-0.08)(+0.09) (stat + syst) and sigma(t (t) over bar) = 8.18(-0.84)(+0.90) (stat + syst) +/- 0.50(lumi) pb, in agreement with the standard model prediction.

- We present a search for direct CP violation in B-+/- -> J/psi K-+/- (pi(+/-)) decays. The event sample is selected from 2: 8 fb(-1) of p (p) over bar collisions recorded by D0 experiment in run II of the Fermilab Tevatron Collider. The charge asymmetry A(CP)(B+ -> J/psi K+) = +0: 0075 +/- 0: 0061(stat) +/- 0: 0030 (syst) is obtained using a sample of approximately 40 000 B-+/- -> J/psi K-+/- decays. The achieved precision is of the same level as the expected deviation predicted by some extensions of the standard model. We also measured the charge asymmetry A(CP) (B+ -> J/psi pi(+)) = - 0: 09 +/- 0: 08(stat) +/- 0: 03(syst).

- We report on a measurement of the B-d(0) mixing frequency and the calibration of an opposite-side flavor tagger in the D0 experiment. Various properties associated with the b quark on the opposite side of the reconstructed B meson are combined using a likelihood-ratio method into a single variable with enhanced tagging power. Its performance is tested with data, using a large sample of reconstructed semileptonic B ->mu(DX)-X-0 and B ->mu(DX)-X-* decays, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of approximately 1 fb(-1). The events are divided into groups depending on the value of the combined tagging variable, and an independent analysis is performed in each group. Combining the results of these analyses, the overall effective tagging power is found to be epsilon D-2=(2.48 +/- 0.21(-0.06)(+0.08))%. The measured B-d(0) mixing frequency Delta m(d)=0.506 +/- 0.020(stat)+/- 0.016(syst) ps(-1) is in good agreement with the world average value.

- We present a measurement of the cross section for Z boson production times the branching fraction to tau lepton pairs sigma(p (p) over bar -> Z + X)Br(Z -> tau(+)tau(-)) in p (p) over bar collisions at root s = 1.96 TeV. The measurement is performed in the channel in which one tau lepton decays into a muon and neutrinos. and the other tau lepton decays hadronically or into an electron and neutrinos. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb(-1) collected with the DO detector at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider. The sample contains 1511 candidate events with an estimated 20% background from jets or muons misidentified as tau leptons. We obtain sigma . Br = 240 +/- 8 (star) +/- 12 (sys) +/- 15 (lum) pb, which is consistent with the standard model prediction.

- We present an observation for ZZ -> l(+) l(-) l'(+) l'(-) (l, l' =e or mu) production in p (p) over bar collisions at a center-of-mass energy of root s = 1.96 TeV. Using 1.7 fb(-1) of data collected by the D0 experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider, we observe three candidate events with an expected background of 0.14(-0.02)(+0.03) events. The significance of this observation is 5.3 standard deviations. The combination of D0 results in this channel, as well as in ZZ -> l(+) l(-) v (v) over bar yields a significance of 5.7 standard deviations and a combined cross section of sigma(ZZ) = 1.60 +/- 0.63(stat)(-0.17)(+0.16)(syst) pb.

- We have searched for a heavy resonance decaying into a Z+jet final state in p (p) over bar collisions at a center of mass energy of 1.96 TeV at the Fermilab Tevatron collider using the D0 detector. No indication for such a resonance was found in a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 370 pb(-1). We set upper limits on the cross section times branching fraction for heavy resonance production at the 95% C.L. as a function of the resonance mass and width. The limits are interpreted within the framework of a specific model of excited quark production.
