  • ZrO2 gate dielectrics prepared by e-beam deposition of Zr and YSZ films and post annealing processes
  • 2002
  • Ingår i: ESSDERC 2002. Proceedings of the 32nd European Solid-State Device Research Conference. ; , s. 419-
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • In this paper we present the electrical performance of MOS capacitors with ZrO2 gate dielectric prepared by e-beam evaporation of zirconium and yttrium stabilized zirconia (YSZ) and subsequent thermal treatment. To this stage we have reached an equivalent oxide thickness (EOT) of 1.9 nm. The effect of post-oxidation annealing on Zr incorporation into the Si substrate is investigated. SIMS analysis showed no signs of Zr diffusion in the substrate at temperatures as high as 900°C and that significant diffusion occurs only at 1100°C

  • A strategy for assessing safe use of sensors in autonomous road vehicles
  • 2017
  • Ingår i: 36th International Conference on Computer Safety, Reliability, and Security, SAFECOMP 2017. - Cham : Springer. - 9783319662657 ; , s. 149-161
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • When arguing safety for an autonomous road vehicle it is considered very hard to show that the sensing capability is sufficient for all possible scenarios that might occur. Already for today’s manually driven road vehicles equipped with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), it is far from trivial how to argue that the sensor systems are sufficiently capable of enabling a safe behavior. In this paper, we argue that the transition from ADAS to automated driving systems (ADS) enables new solution patterns for the safety argumentation dependent on the sensor systems. A key factor is that the ADS itself can compensate for a lower sensor capability, by for example lowering the speed or increasing the distances. The proposed design strategy allocates safety requirements on the sensors to determine their own capability. This capability is then to be balanced by the tactical decisions of the ADS equipped road vehicle.

  • Decay of (86)Rn-210(124) to Levels in (85)at-210(125)
  • 1973
  • Ingår i: Physica Scripta. - : IOP Publishing. - 1402-4896 .- 0031-8949. ; 7:4, s. 147-159
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The decay of 210Rn to 210At has been investigated. Gamma rays were recorded in singles and coincidence using Ge(Li) detectors. Conversion electrons were studied with a Si(Li) detector and a double focusing magnetic spectrometer. Internal conversion coefficients have been deduced and several transition multipolarities have been determined. A decay scheme is presented and spin assignments are made. The electron capture decay from 210Rn has been found to proceed mainly to three levels in 210At: 2 280.8 keV (0-, (1-)), 1 525.5 keV (1+) and 1 488.6 keV (1+), with log ft values

  • Imlifidase desensitization in crossmatch-positive, highly-sensitized kidney transplant recipients : Results of an international phase 2 trial (Highdes)
  • 2021
  • Ingår i: Transplantation. - 0041-1337 .- 1534-6080. ; 105:8, s. 1808-1817
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • BACKGROUND: Highly-HLA sensitized patients have limited access to life-saving kidney transplantation due to a paucity of immunologically suitable donors. Imlifidase is a cysteine protease that cleaves IgG leading to a rapid decrease in antibody level and inhibition of IgG-mediated injury. This study investigates the efficacy and safety of imlifidase in converting a positive crossmatch test to negative, allowing highly sensitized patients to be transplanted with a living or deceased donor kidney.METHODS: This open-label, single arm, phase 2 trial conducted at five transplant centers, evaluated the ability of imlifidase to create a negative crossmatch test within 24 hours. Secondary endpoints included post-imlifidase DSA levels compared to pre-dose levels, renal function, and pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic profiles. Safety endpoints included adverse events and immunogenicity profile.RESULTS: 89.5% of the transplanted patients demonstrated conversion of baseline positive crossmatch to negative within 24 hours after imlifidase treatment. DSA most often rebounded 3-14 days post-imlifidase dose, with substantial interpatient variability. Patient survival was 100% with graft survival of 88.9% at 6 months. 38.9% had early biopsy proven antibody mediated rejection with onset 2-19 days post-transplantation. Serum IgG levels began to normalize after ~3-7 days post-transplantation. Anti-drug antibody levels were consistent with previous studies. Seven adverse events in six patients were classified as possibly or probably related to treatment and were mild-moderate in severity.CONCLUSIONS: Imlifidase was well tolerated, converted positive crossmatches to negative, and enabled patients with a median cPRA of 99.83% to undergo kidney transplantation resulting in good kidney function and graft survival at 6 months.

  • Vaccination against encapsulated bacteria in hereditary C2 deficiency results in antibody response and opsonization due to antibody-dependent complement activation.
  • 2012
  • Ingår i: Clinical Immunology. - : Elsevier BV. - 1521-6616. ; 144:3, s. 214-227
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Hereditary C2 deficiency (C2D) is an important susceptibility factor for invasive infections caused by encapsulated bacteria such as pneumococci and Haemophilus influenzae type b. The infections are mostly seen in childhood indicating that antibody-mediated acquired immunity is affected. C2D persons and healthy controls were vaccinated with ActHIB® and Pneumo23®. Analysis of specific antibodies to pneumococci serotype 6B, 7F, and 23F, and Hib was performed. Post-vaccination IgG antibodies against pneumococci serotype 6B and 23F at a concentration ≥1.0mg/L was found in similar frequency in C2D persons and controls. Post-vaccination sera from C2D persons showed poor complement-mediated opsonization and phagocytosis of pneumococci by granulocytes when depending on classical and lectin pathway activation only, but increased (p=0.007) and equaled that of the normal controls when also alternative pathway activation was allowed due to antibody-dependent C2 bypass activation. In conclusion, the C2D persons benefited from the vaccination and achieve an increased phagocytic capacity.
