  • Assessment of risk factors and the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders by QEC and Body Map operational units of the gas refinery in Iran and its Meta-Reflection
  • 2016
  • Ingår i: Journal of Health. - 2382-9710. ; 7:1, s. 35-50
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Introduction: This study aims to evaluate the risk factors and the prevalence of WMSDs disorders using QEC and Body Map techniques in operational units took a gas refineries and its Meta-Reflection.Method and Material: This case study assessed 254 operators in three distinct phases. First, 72 workstation posture was evaluated by using of QEC. Secondly was intended for employees of WMSDs were assessed using by Body Map. After conducting interview with relevant directors, the effectiveness of such studies has been analyzed through Meta-Reflection.Results: Based on results came from QEC survey, the operators’ average scores was %53/8. Moreover, results of Body Map assessment showed that the highest organs of WMSDs were back and knee extrusions (47% and 46% respectively). Also, lack of ergonomics policy and plan within refinery has demonstrated by interviews. Meta-Reflection, on the other hand, showed that because of incomplete learning cycles in the mentioned surveys which only provide WMSDs’ status, workstations’ ergonomics condition, and introduce expert based solutions. Thus, such surveys not only have incomplete study plan, but also have less impact on improving overall health, safety and ergonomics within this organization. Conclusion: This research proves that non-ergonomic conditions result in awkward postures and subsequent physical disorders. Overall, this study has showed a gap from this kind of the work on the learning cycles at organizational levels, a trend should be considered to interactive research work on the workplaces with improved and promoted system ergonomics attitude.

  • Bok (refereegranskat)abstract
    • This study provides a critical edition of chapters nine and ten of Muḥīṭ al-tavārīkh (The Sea of Chronicles) by Muḥammad Amīn b. Mīrzā Muḥammad Zamān Bukhārī (Ṣūfīyānī). Muḥīṭ al-tavārīkh is a valuable source for the study of late seventeenth-century Central Asian history, historiography, and language. The present work represents the first critical edition of a primary source of Subḥān Qulī Khān’s reign. The ninth chapter (bāb) offers accounts of the Timurid kings, Abulkhayrid/Shaybanid and the first four Ashtarkhanid/Janid khans. The tenth chapter presents a detailed account of the life and times of “the last great” Ashtarkhanid/Janid khan, Subḥān Qulī Bahādur (1682–1702), revealing historical information essential for scholars of the period and region.

  • Identification of genome diversity in different breeds of Iranian native sheep using the whole genome sequencing data
  • 2023
  • Ingår i: Journal of agricultural biotechnology. - 2228-6705 .- 2228-6500. ; 15, s. 145-160
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Objective Iran is considered to be one of the oldest centers of domestication and breeding of livestock and poultry species in the world. Currently, different ecotypes of indigenous sheep are kept in different geographical regions of the country, which have obvious differences from each other in terms of appearance and production characteristics. So far, there has not been a comprehensive study on the whole genome level to identify the genetic diversity of native Iranian sheep. Therefore, the aim of this study is to identify the genomic characteristics of these native reserves in order to organize appropriate programs for their exploitation and protection Materials and methods In this study, the whole genome sequences of 29 native Iranian sheep were downloaded from the NCBI database and analyzed. Whole genome sequencing of the studied data has been done by Hiseq2000 and Hiseq X Ten sequencer devices. Quality control of raw data sequences was done by FastQC program. To align the sequence data with the sheep reference genome (Oar v.4.0, https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/assembly/GCF_000298735.2), the BWA-MEM algorithm used in the BWA software package was used. Picard program was used to remove PCR duplicates from mapping outputs. The alignment outputs with the reference genome were processed in two stages, including re-alignment of deletions and small insertions and recalibration of the base quality score using the GATK program. The average coverage depth and alignment percentage for alignment output with the reference genome were calculated using depth and flagstat commands used in samtools software. Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were identified by the UnifiedGenotyper tool used in the GATK program. Nucleotide diversity values and genomic inbreeding coefficient were calculated based on homozygous SNPs for each individual using the het command used in the VCFtools program. Results The average coverage depth of the used data in this study was 18.39 X. The average percentage of alignment of short sequences with the sheep reference genome was 99.89%. The values of genomic inbreeding coefficient in Iranian native sheep breeds ranged from 0.01 to 0.12. The lowest value of genomic inbreeding coefficient was observed in the genome of Mughani sheep (0.01) and the highest value of inbreeding coefficient was observed in the genome of Afshari sheep (0.12). Also, the average values of observed and expected percentage of heterozygosity calculated for single nucleotide polymorphisms in the genome of Iranian native sheep ecotypes ranged from 20.67 to 23.06 and 32.415 to 32.421. Conclusions The results obtained from this research can be used in the design of conservation and breeding programs for Iran's native sheep, especially in situations where information such as animal pedigrees, levels of genetic differences within and between populations, and the degree of their purity or admixture are not available.

  • The Political Events in South Iran During the First Half of the 8th Century (A.H.) Based on the New Found Inscriptions in Shāhugat: Makrān
  • 2015
  • Ingår i: Historical Sciences Studies. - Tehran. - 2251-9254. ; 6:2, s. 119-134
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The importance of inscriptions as the primary sources refer to historical events is undeniable. Introducing the Shāhugat inscriptions were found near Tābaktal village of Chāhān district around Nikshahr is the purpose of present paper. They refer to the events that occurred in south Iran around the end of the 7th and the beginning of the 8th centuries AH., a colorful and turbulent period of its history, some of which can be easily adapted to the historical sources. The invasion of Chagatai Mongols to Shiraz and Hormuz, the conflicts between the rulers of districts and southern islands such as Shiraz, Hormuz, kish and Qeshm to hold the roads and commercial interests are among the reasons that made some of the people to refuge the highlands of Makrān and subsequently led to these inscriptions.

  • Environmental Impact of Water Use in Life Cycle of Milk Production
  • 2016
  • Ingår i: JOURNAL OF NATURAL ENVIRONMENT (IRANIAN JOURNAL OF NATURAL RESOURCES). - 2008-7764. ; 69:4, s. 997-1015
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Water has a key role in dairy industry and life cycle assessment (LCA) is one of the tools for environmental assessment of products & processes. A cradle to gate assessment of market milk was performed by separating the system into three sub-systems: agronomy, animal farm and processing plant. Data were gathered from multiple sources e.g. published papers, questionnaire, national and international databases, and the processing plant. Throughout the study, ISO framework and IDF guideline on LCA were used. The functional unit for reporting results was one liter of pasteurized milk (2.5% fat) packaged in plastic pouch. Finally, to quantify and assess the environmental impacts from blue water consumption, parameters of a global water impacts assessment model were modified and used in this case study. In production of one FU, about 370 liters of water is needed mostly for feed production. Feed agriculture sub-system alone withdraws 97% of total. Throughout the market milk product chain, about 40 and 28% of total water withdrawal come from alfalfa and barley production mainly from irrigation. In production of one FU, modified model’s estimate for the impact on human health with the unit of disability-adjusted life years (DALY) was about 0.35*10-6, and its estimated value for the impact on ecosystem quality was 0.324 m2*y.
