    • The practical task of economics lies in applying the methods of substantiating its decisions. For economics, the main method is the modeling of economic phenomena and processes and, above all, mathematical modeling, which has been stipulated by the presence of stable MATHEMATICAL METHODS, MODELS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES IN ECONOMY Issue I (81), 2021 117 quantitative patterns and the possibility of a formalized description of many economic processes. The economic-mathematical model contains a system of equations of linear and nonlinear units that promote a mathematical description of economic processes and phenomena, consists of a set of variables and parameters and serves to study these processes and control them. Dynamic models of the economy describe it in development, as well as provide a detailed description of technological methods of production. Mathematical description of dynamic models is carried out with the use of a system of differential equations (in models with continuous time), difference equations (in models with discrete time), as well as systems of algebraic equations. It is important that the investigation of various economic issues has led to the development of the mathematical apparatus. In linear algebra, productive matrices are caused by the studies of intersectoral balance, whereas mathematical programming arose in the course of researching the optimal plan for the distribution of limited resources. In a similar way, there emerged the theory of economic indices and econometrics, the theory of production functions and the theory of consumption, the theory of general economic balance and social welfare, the theory of optimal economic growth. The paper under studies deals with the dynamic economic behavior of two competing objects, whose mathematical model is a nonlinear nonlocal problem for a system of ordinary differential equations with variable coefficients and argument deviation. The dynamic mathematical model is based on the assumption that the volume of output of both firms is determined by such factors on which output depends linearly. The model under discussion includes nonlinear factors, which describe the level of distrust of the competitors and depend on the time of observations and production volumes in previous moments, because the latter significantly affect the production activities of the firm. Such mathematical models are called time-delayed models.

    • The essence of dynamic economic behavior of competing economic entities, which simulated nonlocal problem for systems of differential equations with variable coefficients is revealed. Developed a dynamic mathematical model assuming that total production is determined by the following factors: the number of products each side, changing certain equipment, which leads to changes in output, the degree of distrust of competitors, and assuming that the rate of change in output proportional to these factors. A partial case of such a model is the model of the arms race. The economic interpretation of nonlocal conditions is that the production volumes at different times governed by predetermined condition. A mathematical model designed to study the dynamics of the economic process of adjusting production volumes at different times.

  • A Model of a System of Simultaneous Equations with a Lag Effect for Estimating the Quality of an Advertising Campaign

    • This article describes the creation of a more generalized system of simultaneous equations for forecasting the level of sales depending on advertising campaigns on different channels and other factors. RStudio (R programming language) and Google Colab (Python programming language) environments describe the creation of a model based on real data of a product. The Hausman specification test was applied to determine the model estimation method. As a conclusion, the indicators of advertising campaigns turned out to be endogenous variables, which indicates the importance of using the 2MNK method. It was found that the volume of advertising is the cause of the volume of sales according to Granger, which cannot be said about the reverse assumption - the causality of the volume of advertising from sales according to Granger. The ”depth” of lags is also determined, namely, one lag for both advertising channels. The dependence of sales volumes on various factors, including product distribution, the price index, the influence of advertising and its lags, and the influence of competitors’ advertising activities, was evaluated. The coefficients of the resulting more generalized system of simultaneous equations were estimated using the two-step least squares method. All statistical indicators testify to the adequacy of the model. Performance indicators (ROI - return on investment) of advertising campaigns showed that advertising both on television and on the Internet is profitable for the company’s product in question. The relevance of this article lies in the creation of a more general system of simultaneous equations with the inclusion of a product sales forecast model taking into account the influence of advertising.

    • In this article, I will firstly sketch a fundamental distinction between representation and mediation, or, more specifically, between representation of media and transmediation. After that, I will discuss media characteristics that can be called “transmedial”, meaning that they can be successfully transferred from one medium to another. The aim is to establish a framework from which to develop a comprehensive theory of transmediality that has the capacity to include a wide range of phenomena that are characterized by transfers of media characteristics. To date, there has been no systematic account of all these phenomena. Existing research is characterized by compartmentalization, which does not favor a general understanding of transmedial relations. Most existing studies focus either on only a few media and their specific interrelations, or on limited study areas such as adaptation and ekphrasis. At the present time, adaptation is probably the most vigorous research area dedicated to the study of transmediality.

    • The purpose of the research is to analyze the mapping of the process of Russian expansion in Hetman Ukraine in 1710–1720s in the formation of the cult of the saint Prince Alexander Nevsky (Alexander Yaroslavich). The scientific novelty lies in the fact that the study of the outlined phenomena and events is an urgent need for modern Ukrainian historical science. The main reason for this updating is the relationship, including genetic, of some processes of the beginning of the XVIII century and those that are happening today. Understanding the way of formulating the origins of Russian imperial propaganda, the main provisions of which were formed during the reign of Peter I, allows for a more thoughtful look at the Ukrainian-Russian confrontation not only in the military and economic, but also in the ideological field. The main conclusions of the study is finding the relationship between the origins of the official veneration of Alexander Nevsky and the aggressive foreign policy of the Moscow kingdom towards transforming it into the Russian empire during the first twenty years of the XVIII century, as well as reflecting this process on the realities of Hetman State. An analytical review of the main aspects of the realization of the cult of Alexander Nevsky in the cultural, religious, political life of Russia during the reign of Peter I and the formation of imperial autocracy was carried out. A direct relationship has been derived between the spread of the cult and the administrative and economic activities on the lands of the northern Hetman State of Prince Alexander Menshikov, whose patron saint was Alexander Nevsky.
