  • Optimization of 16-point Ring Constellations in the Presence of Nonlinear Phase Noise
  • 2011
  • Ingår i: Optical Fiber Communication Conference (OFC). - 2162-2701. - 9781557529060 ; , s. OThO4-
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The optimum radius distribution in terms of the average symbol error rate (SER) for different 16-point signal sets is derived numerically for a fiber channel limited by nonlinear phase noise. The results show up to 2.4 dB performance improvement.

  • Effect of Delay Tolerance in WDM Networks with Differentiated Services
  • 2011
  • Ingår i: Optical Fiber Communication Conference and Exposition (OFC/NFOEC), 2011 and the National Fiber Optic Engineers Conference. - : IEEE. - 9781557529060 ; , s. 1-3
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • We study a dynamic WDM network supporting different service classes (SC) containing applications having similar setup delay tolerance. By utilizing delay tolerance we propose scheduling strategies able to significantly reduce blocking probability of each SC.

  • Time-resolved error vector magnitude for transmitter mask testing in coherent optical transmission systems
  • 2011
  • Ingår i: 2011 Optical Fiber Communication Conference and Exposition and the National Fiber Optic Engineers Conference, OFC/NFOEC 2011. - Washington, D.C. : OSA. - 2162-2701. - 9781557529060 ; , s. 223-225
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • We propose a novel transition-sensitive measurement approach for coherent optical systems. The time-resolved error vector magnitude (EVM), combined with mask testing, is a powerful tool for pass/fail testing of transmitters in coherent systems.

  • Over 40 GHz traveling-wave electroabsorption modulator based on hybrid silicon platform
  • 2011
  • Ingår i: 2011 Optical Fiber Communication Conference and Exposition and the National Fiber Optic Engineers Conference. - : OSA Publishing. - 9781557529060
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • A hybrid silicon traveling-wave electroabsorption modulator has been demonstrated. 43 GHz bandwidth and over 10 dB static extinction ratio are achieved for a 100 μm long device.

  • Plasmonics for signal processing
  • 2011
  • Ingår i: Optics InfoBase Conference Papers. - Washington, D.C. : Optical Society of America (OSA). - 9781557529060
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • We review some of the issues involved in using different plasmonic guided-wave structures for modulation, switching and filtering.

  • Performance Comparison between 120 Gbit/s RZ-DQP-ASK and RZ-D8PSK over a 480 km Link
  • 2011
  • Ingår i: Optical Fiber Communication Conference (OFC) - Proceedings. - 2162-2701. - 9781557529060 ; , s. OMI5-
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • This paper experimentally presents the first direct comparison between two 120-Gbit/s 8-ary formats and show that both can be superior over different distances. The performances of two formats are also evaluated over three different dispersion-maps.

  • Experimental realization of a low-loss nano-scale Si hybrid plasmonic waveguide
  • 2011
  • Ingår i: Optics InfoBase Conference Papers. - Washington : Optical Society of America. - 9781557529060
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • A novel hybrid plasmonic waveguide with nano-scale confinement, consisting of a metal layer separated from a SOI nano-rib by a thin silica layer has been realized. The loss of 0.01dB/μm allows for ultra-high density photonic integration.
