  • The Weight of History : An Exploration of Resistance to Change in Vicars/Managers
  • 2000
  • Ingår i: Creativity and Innovation Management. - : Wiley-Blackwell Publishing Inc.. - 0963-1690 .- 1467-8691. ; 9:3, s. 147-155
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • What impact do managers have on successful implementation of organisational change? A model is suggested to assess the strength of managers to initiate and implement organisational change and development. The model rests on leadership theories and factors that describe and explain various change aspects of managers’ behaviour. It is assumed that managers who have a change‐centred leadership style, who are intuitive combined with power motivation and see urgent demands for change and development, have an optimal capacity for implementing major changes in their organisations. This model has been tested on a sample of 153 vicars, each facing a radically new situation. The Church of Sweden was disestablished this year breaking a structure, which has lasted for 500 years. As expected, very few of the vicars (as managers) exhibited change and development related behaviour described by the model. In fact, only one percent of the vicars appears to have maximum capacity to implement organisational changes. Whether the model can predict successful implementation of major organisational change remains to be tested.

  • Från stadsarkeologi till urbanitetsarkeologi? Förslag till framtidsperspektiv
  • 2011
  • Ingår i: Medeltiden och arkeologin. Mer än sex decennier. - 1653-1183. - 9789189578449 ; Lund Studies in Historical Archaeology 14, s. 49-80
  • Bokkapitel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • When medieval archaeology was formed as an independent academic discipline at Lund University in the middle of the 1960s, town archaeology was a vital part representing one of the orders in feudal society. It was established as a recognizable discourse and a major arena for excavating medieval archaeology. The article deals with the following issues: What kind of epistemological currents have influenced the way in which archaeology has been carried out? How have the remains been documented? How have the reports been structured? Which research areas have been of interest? A decade after the emancipation of medieval archaeology, processual archaeology grew in importance. Archaeology was a part of public heritage administration. Processes such as urbanization and production were in focus, and documentation and fieldwork were carried out with natural science as a role model. With post-modern influence, heritage became a contemporary issue, and with post-processual archaeology the view of the town as a phenomenon changed. Medieval archaeology is redefined as historical archaeology, method is vital instead of the epoch. Interpretation is favoured before neutral observations. The focus is upon wider time frames, urbanity is regarded as a part of landscapes and in global perspectives, and historiography is of interest as well as the urban cultural heritage. It is argued that this reflects a change towards an archaeology of urbanity. However, archaeology also has to develop a more interpretive contextual approach and incorporate the built heritage.

  • 2022 EULAR points to consider for the measurement, reporting and application of IFN-I pathway activation assays in clinical research and practice
  • 2023
  • Ingår i: Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases. - : BMJ Publishing Group Ltd. - 0003-4967 .- 1468-2060. ; 82:6, s. 754-762
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Background: Type I interferons (IFN-Is) play a role in a broad range of rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases (RMDs), and compelling evidence suggests that their measurement could have clinical value, although testing has not progressed into clinical settings. Objective: To develop evidence-based points to consider (PtC) for the measurement and reporting of IFN-I assays in clinical research and to determine their potential clinical utility. Methods: EULAR standardised operating procedures were followed. A task force including rheumatologists, immunologists, translational scientists and a patient partner was formed. Two systematic reviews were conducted to address methodological and clinical questions. PtC were formulated based on the retrieved evidence and expert opinion. Level of evidence and agreement was determined. Results: Two overarching principles and 11 PtC were defined. The first set (PtC 1-4) concerned terminology, assay characteristics and reporting practices to enable more consistent reporting and facilitate translation and collaborations. The second set (PtC 5-11) addressed clinical applications for diagnosis and outcome assessments, including disease activity, prognosis and prediction of treatment response. The mean level of agreement was generally high, mainly in the first PtC set and for clinical applications in systemic lupus erythematosus. Harmonisation of assay methodology and clinical validation were key points for the research agenda. Conclusions: IFN-I assays have a high potential for implementation in the clinical management of RMDs. Uptake of these PtC will facilitate the progress of IFN-I assays into clinical practice and may be also of interest beyond rheumatology.

  • 2022
  • Ingår i: The REHVA European HVAC Journal. - 1307-3729. ; 59:2, s. 4-4
  • Tidskriftsartikel (övrigt vetenskapligt/konstnärligt)abstract
    • Editorial for the Nordic issue of the REHVA Journal 2022. This issue focuses on technologies in the Nordic countries, where much attention has been paid to indoor environmental quality (IEQ) and energy efficiency for a long time. Requirements for indoor environment and ventilation may be high due to cold and dark winters. The principles for ventilation design for good indoor air quality are summarized by Wargocki et al., in a document from the Nordic Ventilation Group. Criteria for ventilation design, installation, and operation are implemented and regularly updated in the building codes of all Nordic countries. The latest update is from Denmark. The standard which is referred to in the Danish regulations is summarized in an article by Olesen et al. ..... ...

  • Long-term outcome after reperfusion-treated stroke.
  • 2017
  • Ingår i: Journal of Rehabilitation Medicine. - : Medical Journals Sweden AB. - 1650-1977. ; 49:4, s. 316-321
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • To explore motor function, health-related quality of life and impact on activities of daily living 5 and 6 years after reperfusion treatment in patients with stroke.A total of 75 patients with first-time stroke received either thrombectomy or thrombolytic treatment at the Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg during an 18-month period in 2009-2010. Follow-up involved questionnaires and clinical examinations, 5 and 6 years post-stroke. The results were compared with an individually matched reference group. At follow-up 54 persons with reperfusion-treated stroke were alive, of whom 31 (57%) answered the questionnaires and 16 agreed to a clinical examination. The Stroke Impact Scale showed impact in several areas, with the emotion domain being the most affected. The reperfusion-treated group reported significantly better strength and hand function compared with the reference group. Of those clinically examined, 44% were dependent in activities of daily living and 38% had cognitive impairment.Long-term outcome after reperfusion treatment is relatively good, with treated individuals having better strength and hand function compared with a reference group. However, emotional and cognitive problems persist and need to be addressed.
