A Swedish Social and Science Data Archive.

• The question underlying this report is: "How to establish and develop a Swedish Social Science Data Archive?". In trying to answer this question two contributions are presented. In part I an array of aspects of data archiving are explored with the means of existing texts on the subject, personal visits to data archives and contacts with persons engaged in the data archive movement. In part II a concrete proposal is submitted which suggests that a Swedish Social Science Data Archive is to be astablished within the premises of the Sociological Department of the University of Gothenburg, jointly sponsored by the University, the Tercentenary Fund and the Council of Social Science Research.
