  • Color-tunable single-fluorophore supramolecular system with assembly-encoded emission
  • 2020
  • Ingår i: Nature Communications. - : Nature Research. - 2041-1723. ; 11:1
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Regulating the fluorescent properties of organic small molecules in a controlled and dynamic manner has been a fundamental research goal. Although several strategies have been exploited, realizing multi-color molecular emission from a single fluorophore remains challenging. Herein, we demonstrate an emissive system by combining pyrene fluorophore and acylhydrazone units, which can generate multi-color switchable fluorescent emissions at different assembled states. Two kinds of supramolecular tools, amphiphilic self-assembly and γ-cyclodextrin mediated host-guest recognition, are used to manipulate the intermolecular aromatic stacking distances, resulting in the tunable fluorescent emission ranging from blue to yellow, including a pure white-light emission. Moreover, an external chemical signal, amylase, is introduced to control the assembly states of the system on a time scale, generating a distinct dynamic emission system. The dynamic properties of this multi-color fluorescent system can be also enabled in a hydrogel network, exhibiting a promising potential for intelligent fluorescent materials.

  • Research progress on test scenario of autonomous driving
  • 2021
  • Ingår i: Jiaotong Yunshu Gongcheng Xuebao/Journal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering. - : Chang'an University. - 1671-1637. ; 21:2, s. 21-37
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Five existing definitions of autonomous driving test scenario were expounded, and the definitions of autonomous driving test scenario and related concepts were proposed by combining the logical relationships between test scenario, primitive scenario, and scenario elements. Three test scenario architectures of autonomous driving that are recognized in the industry were compared. From the perspective of scenario data sources, the current situation in the collection and research of traffic accident and naturalistic driving data at home and abroad was summarized. Based on the known data, expert data, test requirements, test objects, and technical characteristics of autonomous driving, the research results on the construction and automatic generation of unknown autonomous driving test scenarios were summarized. Research results show that the definition and architecture of autonomous driving test scenario are closely related to its construction and automatic generation. The autonomous driving scenario can be considered as an organic combination and comprehensive reflection of scenario elements, such as the driving environment, traffic participants, and driving behavior of autonomous vehicle. In addition to these elements, autonomous driving test scenarios should include a dynamic semantic description of initial state of the scenario, the situation of the scenario, and the impact and results at the end of the scenario. Although the existing test scenario architecture is relatively perfect, it is difficult to meet the requirements of different test objectives and test methods. Therefore, in the optimization of test scenario architecture, the design process of test scenario should be considered. However, the collection accuracy and effective characteristics of traffic accident data are not uniform, which makes it difficult to achieve the complete collection of naturalistic driving scenario data, and the collection specifications are not standardized. Therefore, the effectiveness of traffic accident and naturalistic driving data for the construction of autonomous driving test scenarios must be further demonstrated, and the autonomous driving test data are expected to become an important supplement. Improving scenario coverage and accelerating the testing process are important research goals in the construction of autonomous driving test scenarios. The in-depth application of artificial intelligence technology in the field of autonomous driving scenario generation is expected to meet complete or high coverage requirements of test scenarios. The classification of test scenarios for different levels of autonomous driving and the test scenario construction method for accelerated test of autonomous driving will be the next important research directions in test scenario construction for autonomous driving. 7 figs, 103 refs.

  • Molecular Dynamics beyond the Monolayer Adsorption as Derived from Langmuir Curve Fitting
  • 2022
  • Ingår i: Inorganic Chemistry. - : American Chemical Society (ACS). - 0020-1669 .- 1520-510X. ; 61:20, s. 7804-7812
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Langmuir adsorption model is a classic physical–chemical adsorption model and is widely used to describe the monolayer adsorption behavior at the material interface in environmental chemistry. Traditional adsorption dynamic modeling solely considered the surface physiochemical interaction between the adsorbent and adsorbate. The surface reaction dynamics resulting from the heterogeneous surface and intrinsic electronic structure of absorbents were rarely considered within the reported adsorption experiments. Herein, by employing the chlorine hybrid graphene oxide (GO-Cl) to adsorb Ag+ in an aqueous solution, complicated molecular dynamics significantly deviated from the monolayer adsorption mechanism, as suggested by Langmuir adsorption curve fitting, has been elucidated down to atomic scale. In the time-dependent Ag adsorption experiments, both Ag single atoms and Ag/AgCl nanoparticle heterostructures are observed to be formed sequentially on GO-Cl. These observations indicate that for the surface adsorption dynamics, not only the surface chemical adsorption process involved but also photoreduction and the C–Cl bond cleavage reaction has been heavily engaged within the GO-Cl interface, suggesting a much more complicated vision rather than the monolayered adsorption algorithm as derived from curve fitting. This study uses GO-Cl as a simple example to disclose the complicated adsorption dynamic process underneath Langmuir adsorption curve fitting. It advocates the necessity of imaging the interfacial atomic-scale dynamic structure with high-resolution microscopy techniques in modern adsorption studies, rather than simply explaining the adsorption dynamics relying on the curve fitting results due to the complicated physiochemical reactivity of the adsorbents.

  • Biochemical and Structural Characterization of a Five-domain GH115-Glucuronidase from the Marine Bacterium Saccharophagus degradans 2-40(T)
  • 2016
  • Ingår i: Journal of Biological Chemistry. - 0021-9258 .- 1083-351X. ; 291:27, s. 14120-14133
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Glucuronic acid (GlcAp) and/or methylglucuronic acid (MeGlcAp) decorate the major forms of xylan in hardwood and coniferous softwoods as well as many cereal grains. Accordingly, the complete utilization of glucuronoxylans or conversion to sugar precursors requires the action of main chain xylanases as well as -glucuronidases that release the - (12)-linked (Me)GlcAp side groups. Herein, a family GH115 enzymefrom the marine bacterium Saccharophagus degradans 2-40(T), SdeAgu115A, demonstrated activity toward glucuronoxylan and oligomers thereof with preference toward MeGlcAp linked to internal xylopyranosyl residues. Unique biochemical characteristics of NaCl activation were also observed. The crystal structure of SdeAgu115A revealed a five-domain architecture, with an additional insertion C+ domain that had significant impact on the domain arrangement of SdeAgu115A monomer and its dimerization. The participation of domain C+ in substrate binding was supported by reduced substrate inhibition upon introducing W773A, W689A, and F696A substitutions within this domain. In addition to Asp-335, the catalytic essentiality of Glu-216 was revealed by site-specific mutagenesis. A primary sequence analysis suggested that the SdeAgu115A architecture is shared by more than half of GH115 members, thus defining a distinct archetype for GH115 enzymes.

  • Comparative analysis of gene expression profiles between the normal human cartilage and the one with endemic osteoarthritis.
  • 2009
  • Ingår i: Osteoarthritis and Cartilage. - : Saunders Elsevier. - 1063-4584 .- 1522-9653. ; 17:1, s. 83-90
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • OBJECTIVE: To investigate the differences in gene expression profiles of adult articular cartilage with endemic osteoarthritis (OA), Kashin-Beck disease (KBD), and the same regions in the normal joint.METHODS: The messenger RNA expression profiles of articular cartilage with KBD diagnosed according to "Diagnosing Criteria of Kashin-Beck Disease in China" were compared with the normal cartilage. Total RNA isolated separately from four pairs of the KBD and normal cartilage samples were evaluated by oligonucleotide microarray analysis. The microarray data were confirmed by quantitative real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) amplification and were compared with previously published experiments.RESULTS: About 4100 transcripts, which corresponded to 35% of the expressed transcripts, showed >or=twofold differences in expression between the cartilage tissues in pairs. Approximately 2% of the expressed genes (79, 55 genes expressed in KBD>normal; 24 genes expressed in KBDCONCLUSION: Differences between KBD cartilage and the normal exhibited a similar pattern among the four pairs examined, indicating the presence of common mechanisms mainly including chondrocyte metabolism and apoptosis that contribute to cartilage destruction in KBD.

  • Isovector channel of quark-meson-coupling model and its effect on symmetry energy
  • 2011
  • Ingår i: Nuclear Physics A. - : Elsevier BV. - 0375-9474 .- 1873-1554. ; 865:1, s. 57-68
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The non-relativistic approximation Of the quark-meson-coupling model has been discussed and compared with the Skyrme-Hartree-Fock model which includes spin exchanges. Calculations show that the spin-exchange interaction has important effect on the descriptions of finite nuclei and nuclear matter through the Fock exchange. Also in the quark-meson-coupling model, it is the Fock exchange that leads to a nonlinear density-dependent isovector channel and changes the density-dependent behavior of the symmetry energy.

  • Eigen-Property of Single-j System and Seniority Conservation Condition
  • 2012
  • Ingår i: Plasma Science and Technology. - : IOP Publishing. - 1009-0630. ; 14:5, s. 383-385
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • In this paper we study the system with three nucleons within a single-j shell, which can be described as the angular momentum coupling of a nucleon pair and the odd nucleon. The overlaps between these non-orthonormal states form a special matrix coincidental with the one obtained by Rowe and Rosensteel. They proposed a proposition related to the eigenvalue problems of that matrix and dimensions of the associated subspaces. We prove their proposition with the help of the symmetric properties of the six-j symbols. We also derive algebraic expressions for eigen energies as well as conditions for conservation of seniority through the decomposition of the angular momentum.

  • A Collaborative Product Data Exchange Environment Based on STEP
  • 2013
  • Ingår i: International Journal of Computer Integrated Manufacturing. - : Taylor & Francis. - 0951-192X. ; 28:1, s. 75-86
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • In the modern manufacturing context, CAD/CAM and CNC solutions are normally provided by different vendors, which gives rise to a heterogeneous application environment. Despite many integration approaches developed in the last decades, software integration and product data exchange are still challenging issues that need to be addressed. In this article, a collaborative product data exchange mechanism is proposed for a Distributed Interoperable Manufacturing Platform (DIMP). In this platform, STEP (ISO 10303) and STEP-NC (ISO 14649) data models are utilised to support the data flow. A novel data exchange mechanism is developed to provide the right amount and right level of product data subset to the users based on these models. This mechanism enables the users to work with a reasonable scope of product data, without interfering others. To realise this concept, data-extracting algorisms are developed to provide a customised data domain, and meta-data model compliant with STEP is proposed to guarantee data tractability. Moreover, synchronisation is catered for after the data set is processed.
