• 2016
• Ingår i: Modern University Education. - Changsha,Hunan Province : Zhongnan University. - 1671-1610. ; :2, s. 14-19
• Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
•
The global sustainable development educational issue made new requirements from education and educational organizations, and universities need to play a strong leading role on global challenges by training talents with creative problem-solving skills, scientific and social awareness, responsibility and collaborative skills, to contribute to a sustainable future. Swedish student-running center named the Center for Environment and Development Studies(hereinafter abbreviated as Cemus)is based on global survival issues, created a kind of education model to train talents for the future. This educational model aims to affect learners’ attitude, behavior, personalities, and the choices will be made in the future. The implications that we learn from Cemus education model are like followings: the sustainable development of students should be emphasized in the process of student training; create real problem context and emphasize the exploring practice, and carry out significant learning based on student-centered teaching to train inter-disciplinary talents needed in the future with the spirit of universal love, global vision and ability to innovate.

• Can modernization generate productive aging? : Some Swedish experiences
• 2011
• Ingår i: Productive Engagement in Later Life : Global Perspectives. - Beijing : China Society Press. - 978-7-5087-3611-2 ; s. 107-122
• Bokkapitel (övrigt vetenskapligt)abstract
•
The chapter deals with the question how old pensions and care work for old people have been discussed earlier and at presnt in Sweden. The chapeter starts with a brief overview if the Swedish welfare model, focussed on two distinct periods: the 1950s - 1960s with a rapid econmic growth and the present period of economic decline. After a long expansion period of a tax - financed public sector under the name of "productive welfare strategy", calculations indicated a state economy in imbalance. Resources did not increase at the same pace as the numbers of elderly. An organizationnal reconstruction of the public sector started with market solutions, encouragement of an increase in voluntary work and family based care. A new pensions system was introduced in the 1990s, and higher expectations of quality at a lower cost turned questions of staff teaining and qualifications to highly strategical themes. A new anti-discrimination Act came into force in 2009. The chapter is finalized by a presentation of some of the research performed within the research profile Care Work and Social Gerontology at the Department of Social Work at Umea University. Issues like social capital and care work, old womens life stories, family obligations in transition, attitudes to old people including ageism as well as training for care workers are issues researched within the team. (The chapter is written in Chinese)

• Diplomacy: Continuity and Change
• 2004
• Ingår i: Beyond Westphalia?. - Fudan University. - 7-80009-839-7 ; s. 347-377
• Bokkapitel (övrigt vetenskapligt)abstract
• The purpose of this chapter is to identify a number of significant contemporary changes in the "old" diplomacy, associated with the Westphalian system of sovereign states, and to address the question of how thoroughgoing these changes may be. Specifically, it discusses three aspects of change: technological developments, the emergence of new types of actors in the international arena, and the changing nature of diplomatic aqents.

• Old Patterns and New Trends in Diplomatic Recognition
• 2006
• Ingår i: Foreign Affairs Review. - China Foreign Affairs University. - 1003-3386. ; 2006:3, s. 70-76
• Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
• Recognition is a concept with long standing in discourses on diplomacy, international relations, and international law. Recognition is a prerequisite for reciprocal exchanges in international relations. The principles of diplomatic recognition have, however, varied considerably throughout history, between the two poles highly inclusive and highly exclusive. Paradoxically, the European Union figures both in a trend toward greater exclusiveness in diplomatic recognition patterns, and in the shaping of a more inclusive international society. European innovations have not replaced, bur merely added new layers to traditional diplomacy. It seems obvious that the participation of NGOs and other actors in international intercourse will in the long run raise questions of recognition, e.g., the criteria to include or exclude new actors, which the international community has not yet even started to address.
