- Honorary doctorates of mathematicians at the University of Poznan in 1919-2019In the years 1919-2019 at the University of Poznań was awarded nine honorary doctorates for mathematicians, while two other candidates did not obtain the approval of a higher authority. Mathematicians from Poland and abroad received them. The purpose of this work is to provide information on nine mathematicians who were given the title and two persons who were refused. An important part of this description are photos attached to it.

Schreier was active member of the so-called Lwow Schoolof Mathematics. - Summary. Eustachy Zylinski was a Polish mathematician, working in number theory, algebra, logicand foundations of mathematics. He has written over 20 scientific papers and academic text-bookin analytic geometry, and, jointly with Stanisław Ruziewicz, one academic text-book and theother text-book for secondary schools. In the period 1919-1939 he was working at the Universityof Jan Kazimierz in Lvov and was a memeber of the so-called Lvov School of Mathematics. After the war, in the period 1946-1951 he was working at the Silesian University of Technologyin Gliwice. His life and scientific achievements are carefully described in [Ma09].Here I present a shorter version of the description, completing information on Gliwice periodEustachy Zylinski był polskim matematykiem pracujacym w teorii liczb, algebrze, logice i podstawach matematyki. Napisał ponad 20 prac naukowych, podrecznik akademicki z geometrii analitycznej oraz wspólnie ze Stanisławem Ruziewiczem, podrecznik akademicki i trzyczesciowy podrecznik szkolny. W latach 1919-1939 pracował na Uniwersytecie Jana Kazimierza we Lwowie i był członkiem tzw. Lwowskiej Szkoły Matematycznej. Po wojnie w latach 1946-1951 pracował w Gliwicach na Politechnice Slaskiej. Zycie i dorobek naukowy, wraz z pełnym spisem prac naukowych oraz ksiazek Zylinskiego, zostały dokładnie opisane w pracy [Ma09]. Tutaj przedstawiam krótsza wersj{e tego opisu, ale uzupełniam wiadomosci o okres gliwicki.

- Franciszek W{\l}odarski was a Polish mathematician, working in geometry and topology. In 1911 he defended his Ph.D. thesis {\it Projective geometry of the ball in terms of analytic vector} at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. He published seven scientific papers, two textbooks and translated in 1917, from Italian into Polish, the book by Federigo Enriques, {\it Lectures on Projective Geometry}. His life and scientific achievements are described. Paper finishes with a full list of his scientific achievements, including his invention patented in the years 1929-1930 in four countries.

- What is the relationship of Gustaf Eneström with Leonard Euler? Gustaf (Gustav) Eneström (1852-1923) was a Swedish mathematician, who in addition to his scientific achievements in the history of mathematics and in mathematics, became famous for his completion, in the years 1910-1913, of all the work of Euler. He counted and numbered them from 1 to 866, including books, articles and some important letters of Euler. This is precisely the reason why the persona of Eneström will be described. We should be grateful to him for bringing together Euler's scientific achievements. Another achievement of Eneström was to cause interest by mathematicians to the history of mathematics, where his guiding principle was scientific accuracy. He was founder and editor for 21 years of important journal "Bibliotheca Mathematica", printing papers on history of mathematics.His life and scientific achievements has been described here, as well as, it is explained what does it mean the "Eneström index" of Euler's works. The contents of the paper is divided into five parts. The first discusses the life and scientific achievements of Eneström. Eneström is known in the mathematical literature mainly from the work regarding the history of mathematics and Eneström-Kakeya theorem. The second part presents in detail the Eneström index about Euler's papers. The third part is a literature on Gustaf Eneström, while the fourth and fifth contain cited papers or books, first of Eneström, and then other authors. Original titles of books and papers of Eneström, written in Swedish, German or French have been translated into English or Polish, and in the text titles are written in Polish.

- W latach 1885-1933 na Uniwersytecie Georga-Augusta w Getyndze matematykę studiowało ponad dziewięćdziesięcioro Polek i Polaków, a w interesującym nas czasie, na przełomie lat dwudziestych i trzydziestych XX wieku czterechPolaków i jedna Polka. Dla wielu polskich studentów getyńskie studia stały się początkiem œświatowej kariery, ukształtowały ich warsztat badawczy. Wœród nich aż pięciu uzyskało w Getyndze doktorat z matematyki. Byli to, w kolejnośœci chronologicznej uzyskania stopnia, Władysław Bortkiewicz - u Lexisa, Michał Feldblum i HugoSteinhaus - u Hilberta, Jan Kroo u Waldemara Voigta oraz Arnold Walfisz u Edmunda Landaua. Szczegółowe informacje, w tym recenzje rozpraw, pytania egzaminacyjne i kopie dyplomów znajdziemy w pracy [4].Tymczasem krótki epizod studiów w ,,mekce matematyków’’ dla Mariana Rejewskiego nie był tak ważny jak dla nich. Dlaczego tak się stało? Odnalezione przez nas archiwalia pozwalają się przyjrzeć temu zagadnieniu bliżej.

- Izydor Blumenfeld był polskim matematykiem zajmującym się równaniami całkowymi i przestrzeniami Riemanna. Napisał esej o Newtonie oraz interesował się filozofią. W 1913 roku obronił pracę doktorską z matematyki na Uniwersytecie w Wiedniu, a od 1921 roku był współwłaścicielem fabryki chemiczno-farmaceutycznej „Laokoon" we Lwowie. W latach 1924-1938 był członkiem Polskiego Towarzystwa Matematycznego oraz uczestniczył, z dwoma odczytami, w Pierwszym Polskim Zjeździe Matematycznym we Lwowie w 1927 roku. Zainteresowałem się Blumenfeldem ze względu na brak informacji o nim w słownikach matematycznych i z powodu anonsowanej w 1927 roku wspólnej pracy ze Stefanem Banachem. Osobę Blumenfelda przypominają jedynie publikacje związane z polskim prozaikiem i eseistą Stanisławem Vincenzem oraz książka Hugo Steinhausa wydana w 1992 roku.
