    • Information and communication technology has certain advantages that can contribute positively in business ethics education programmes. It is necessary, however, to identify first the factors critical for acquiring ethical competence and later to proceed to the construction and use of such tools, in order to ensure that these tools are indeed adapted to the process and the goals of business ethics education. Based on psychological theory and research, it is argued that one such crucial factor is the psychological construct of ethical autonomy. The strengths and weaknesses of information and communication technology tools are discussed in accordance with this, and some suggestions are given on fruitful ways to incorporate these tools in business ethics education.

    • Our students are highly competent in the technical area, but have little training in the non-technical area. This paper describes a course that is designed to increase the students' ability to apply their technical skills in a professional way. Projects with real, low in IT skills, users are used to make the issue of being professional concrete. The aspect of communication, both between colleagues and between users of a product, is chosen as a theme. Relevant theory is introduced as close to the point in time when needed in the real project. This paper give the general setting of the course and observations from students and teachers about how well the goals are achieved.

    • In the present paper the psychological basis of learning by the use of modern technologies is discussed, and some suggestions are offered on how to incorporate this in the process of distance education. Achievement of learning goals in distance education always presupposes the use of suitable technological means and tools. Information and communication technology offers much better solutions compared to older technologies. However, the adaptation of the technological means and tools to the underlying psychological structures and processes of learning is necessary in order to reach the goals of distance education.

    • This paper addresses two topics that are viewed important to the future of most institutions of higher learning. One is an increased international focus, for extended student enrolment and also for facilitating international experiences to already enrolled students. The second deals with establishing international partnerships, which not only will provide a receiver of exchange students but will also, as in the case presented, provide a partner for educational joint ventures, resulting in the establishment of innovative, new and student-attractive degree programmes. The example given presents curriculum design and work leading to the establishing of an undergraduate degree in edutainment software design at a Swedish and a British university, and an extended outlook, to also incorporate other overseas partners over time, initially from the U.S.A., Australia and New Zealand.
