- Relationship marketing during the nineties has become an accepted approach in marketing research. This type of marketing, however, consists of many different perspectives. Here, the network approach is covered. This perspective’s origin and its differences to the marketing management approach are discussed. It is concluded that the development of the network perspective was influenced by its Swedish context, however the network view is not pertinent on all marketing situations in Sweden. Finally it is argued that research in marketing should prosper with many different perspectives that could be applicable for different marketing situations.

- I svensk och europeisk politik har en regionfråga etablerats på den politiska dagordningen. Över hela Europa har regionen som politiskt och demokratiskt projekt fått mycket stor uppmärksamhet. Europas framtid har av många politiker och bedömare just beskrivits som ett regionernas Europa. Många ser också regionfrågan som ett uttryck för att de västerländska samhällena förändrats på ett grundläggande sätt. Regionfrågan har skapat ett förnyat intresse för politiska grundproblem rörande demokrati, decentralisering och territorialitet.Syftet med denna bok är att studera denna samhällsförändring och villkoren för politiskt arbete i ett litet län. Med utgångspunkt taget i Hallands län diskuteras möjligheterna och villkoren för politiskt förändringsarbete idag. Det finns mycket av intresse att lära av regionpolitikens utveckling i Halland.

- For enterprises which are growing, developing products or facing tough competition, cash flow is often a limiting factor which determines their success or failure. This article is based on action research in a small enterprise with liquidity shortage whose sales grew at a rare of 20% while R&D amounted to 15% and profits to 8% of turnover From the investigation it appeared that the most important managing/financial activity consisted of weekly cash flow planning with frequent feedback Discrepancies between estimates and outcomes suggested what action was to be taken. Some benefits of continuous liquidity planning include better knowledge of revenue and expenses, better total quality, greater personnel involvement, better liquidity, smaller inventory, better earning capacity, and so forth. In the article a model for continuous liquidity planning is presented based on the study's findings. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.

- In this paper we present the initial findings of a genre based case study at a large Swedish company, with a record of early use of internal email (1982). The design of the particular email system was closely mapped to the organizational hierarchy. One of our informants kept one week of incoming email messages. We then asked questions about each message and how it related to the work of the informant, and to the organization. Based on the messages and the interviews we clustered the messages in different genres. Most literature of genres of organizational communication has focused on the genres themselves, e.g. email messages constituting different instances of genres. We found however that many messages, rather than being instances of genres, were part of informal conversations. In these conversations, however, it was common to discuss and negotiate which genres where appropriate to use in different situations.

- Patients with head and neck cancer report several disease- and health-related problems before, during and a long time after completed treatment. Nurses have an important role in educating/supporting these patients about/through the disease and treatment so that they can attain well-being. This study describes the cancer patients' experiences of nurses' behaviour in terms of critical incidents after nurses had given them care to promote health. The study had a qualitative, descriptive design and the method used was the critical incident technique. Twenty-one informants from the Nordic countries diagnosed with head and neck cancer were strategically selected. It was explained to the informants what a critical incident implies before the interviews took place; this was defined as a major event of great importance, an incident, which the informants still remember, due to its great importance for the outcome of their health and well-being. The nurses' behaviour was examined, and critical incidents were involved in 208 cases-150 positive and 58 negative ones-the number of incidents varying between three and 20 per informant. The nurses' health promotion activities or lack of such activities based on the patients' disease, treatment and symptoms, consisted of informing and instructing the patients as well as enabling their participation. Personal consideration and the nurses' cognisance, knowledge, competence, solicitude, demeanour and statements of understanding were found to be important. Continuous health promotion nursing interventions were of considerable value for the majority of this group of cancer patients. Oncology nurses could reconfirm and update the care of head and neck cancer patients by including health promotion activities in individual care plans. By more frequent use of health promotion models, such as the empowerment model, the nurses could identify and focus on those individuals who needed to alter their life-style as well as tailor their approach towards these patient by setting goals for well-being and a healthy life-style.

- The Eurobarometer on Biotechnology (46.1) was conducted during October and November 1996. The survey conducted in each EU (European Union) country used a multi-stage random sampling procedure and provided a statistically representative sample of national residents aged 15 and over. The total sample within the EU was 16,246 respondents (about 1,000 per EU country). The survey questionnaire was designed by the authors as part of a larger study involving the comparative analysis of public perceptions, media coverage and public policy in relation to biotechnology from 1973 to the present.
