Actitudes hacia la variedad caló : Un estudio sociolingüístico de adolescentes andaluces

- Caló is a language/variety spoken by the Spanish Calé (i.e. the Roma). The variety belongs to a group of languages referred to as “Para-Romani”, characterized by Romani vocabulary, but largely non-Romani morphology, phonology and syntax, in the case of Caló deriving from Spanish.Much research has been carried out regarding the vocabulary and the grammar of this variety. The conclusions drawn in those studies indicate that Caló is on its way to extinction. However, there is an expressed inter... merest in reintroducing the variety, in a form called “Romanó-Caló”.Language attitudes play a decisive role for the destiny of endangered languages. In order for a revitalization project to be successful, the attitudes towards the variety being reintroduced have to be positive. The aim of this study is to measure the attitudes that both Calé and non-Calé have towards Caló and Caló speakers, a type of study never carried out in the past. The methods applied are both direct and indirect. In part one, 231 informants listened to different recordings of voices acting as either a “Spanish speaking person” or a “Caló speaking person”, a technique referred to as ‘matched guise’. Firstly, the informants were asked to write down their first three impressions of the speakers. Secondly, nine short questions related to the voices were asked, to which the subjects expressed their answers on attitude scales. They were also asked to match the voices with photos of people. Furthermore, the informants have answered questions regarding what variety is spoken at home, as well as if he or she has any knowledge of, or contact with, any language/variety, apart from Spanish. 182 informants continued with part two of the questionnaire, which consisted of 20 items – positive and negative statements towards Caló and Caló speakers. The informants have rated their agreement or disagreement to these statements on a Likert scale. Another exercise measured the willingness of the informants to use Caló words for naming various objects. In addition, the subjects were tested on their knowledge of some Caló words, as well as asked whether they thought it was “useful” to know how to speak Caló. Various statistical methods have been used in order to establish whether or not the results are statistically significant.The results of the analysis indicate that the attitudes differ towards Caló and Caló speakers, depending on the informant’s (a) ethnicity (b) contact with Caló as well as with Caló speakers, and (c) gender. It is those who – in their own opinion – belong to the ethnic group Calé, as well as those who claim that they have some contact with the variety and its speakers, who show positive attitudes in both parts of the study. The women also show more positive attitudes than the men. It is also possible to note positive attitudes towards the variety and its speakers among the subjects with a high level of knowledge of Caló words, as well as among those with the highest willingness to use Caló.These observations suggest that a revitalization project of the variety Caló has a clear chance of being successful.

- En la década de 1890, August Strindberg interrumpe su producción literaria para explorar distintos campos artísticos y de conocimiento en busca de una unidad y un sentido de la existencia. En la llamada «crisis de Inferno», un Strindberg intuitivo, curioso, escéptico, necesitado de respuestas sobre nuestro lugar en el Universo se vuelca de lleno en el estudio de la alquimia, la figura de su compatriota y místico Emanuel Swedenborg (1688-1772), la cábala, la botánica y otras ciencias naturales. Se dedica también a la pintura, experimenta con la fotografía y con los procesos fotográficos y llega a manifestar que puede producir oro. Es una época de viajes —Berlín, París, Austria, Suecia—, matrimonios, separaciones y encuentros con artistas como el pintor noruego Edvard Munch. En París entra en contacto con los círculos ocultistas del fin de siècle y con personajes de la Orden Martinista como Papus o François Jollivet-Castelot. El resultado de sus investigaciones será una poética original que culminará con el retorno de Strindberg a la literatura y la publicación de dos novelas autobiográficas: Inferno (1897) y Leyendas (1898). El presente volumen presenta 39 ensayos de esta particular e importante etapa vital de Strindberg que hasta la fecha no se habían publicado reunidos en lengua castellana. En ellos emerge la penetrante mirada del polifacético artista en busca de la infinita coherencia del Universo.

- La presencia de chilenos en el exterior constituye un elemento importante del Chile actual. De ello da cuenta, por ejemplo, la denominación de XIV Región, para referirse a esta realidad. A pesar de esto, no existen publicaciones que aborden esta problemática con una mirada de conjunto. Este volumen espera contribuir a un mejor conocimiento del tema. En este libro se compilan ocho textos que analizan diversos aspectos del exilio, la emigración y el retorno al país. Se propone una tipología de las migraciones sudamericanas hacia Europa, así como se analiza la diáspora chilena en Suecia, Francia y Brasil. Del mismo modo, se analizan organizaciones de chilenos en el extranjero, como la Casa de Chile en México u organizaciones comunitarias de chilenos en Canadá. También se destaca un estudio sobre Osvaldo Gitano Rodríguez, a partir del análisis de su correspondencia.

- Den största gruppen chilenare i Europa återfinns idag i Sverige. Att de kom så många chilenska flyktingar till Sverige på sjuttio- och åttiotalen har sin bakgrund i den socialdemokratiska regeringens öppna inställning till flyktingmottagning, speciellt under Olof Palmes regeringstid, och även i den starka solidaritetsrörelse som växte fram i Sverige. I boken presenteras flera faktorer som gjorde det möjligt för chilenska flyktingar att komma till Sverige. Solidaritetsrörelsen med Chile, socialdemokratins kontakter med chilenska politiska ledare och de mekanismer genom vilka flyktingarna kom till Sverige efter statskuppen 1973 är speciellt viktiga faktorer. Utmärkande drag för solidaritetsrörelsen och den chilenska kolonin i Sverige beskrivs också, bland annat hur chilenarna organiserade sig och hur deras kulturella verksamhet såg ut.

- The Swedish curriculum for secondary school education states that equality between men and women is one of the overall values that the school system must foster, and that in the school environment nobody can be discriminated against on the grounds of gender. In addition to this, the school must actively encourage equal rights and opportunities for both men and women. The aim of this paper is to analyse how women are represented in several textbooks used in the teaching of Spanish in Swedish secondary schools, and to examine whether the curriculum directives are followed, or, to the contrary, whether gender discrimination is still found in the course books.

Empatía y resocialización : Tratamiento de personas en proceso de resocialización

- Nuestra propuesta se centra en el tratamiento para personas que se encuentran en proceso de resocialización, experimentando una transformación y buscando un cambio duradero en la forma de manejar sus pensamientos y emociones. El concepto clave es la empatía del origen, desarrollada empíricamente en el trabajo de Ajovec y respaldada teóricamente por los estudios de Deldén y Jansson, entre otros. El concepto tiene su origen en el trabajo de Liam Girmarland, basado en las experiencias durante los años de su trabajo social tanto en Colombia y como en Suecia. La resocialización implica encontrar formas de reconstruir la percepción de sí mismo de las personas, donde la percepción anterior se basaba en la comunicación violenta, cargada de vergüenza y orgullo. A través del reconocimiento auténtico de las historias personales y del trabajo con la empatía dirigida tanto hacia las posibles víctimas de las acciones de la persona como hacia la propia persona, se puede lograr la transformación. En este proceso, es fundamental la oportunidad de reintegrarse a la sociedad, como se evidencia en la labor realizada por Ajovec en su finca cafetera. Se trata de adoptar roles constructivos y saludables, rompiendo con los roles destructivos.En nuestra presentación, describimos el trasfondo práctico y teórico del concepto de empatía del origen. Lo relacionamos con un modelo de tratamiento desarrollado por Jansson y Saxonberg (2013/2023), que aborda el trabajo emocional en la práctica del trabajo social. El enfoque principal de la presentación son los procesos de transformación en el trabajo de resocialización con adultos jóvenes que se encuentran en riesgo de incurrir en la delincuencia o ya están involucrados en ella.

- El texto se basa en mi tesis doctoral, Elcine como herramienta didáctica. Investigo el sentidohistórico creado a partir de las películas históricas. Laspelículas históricas forman parte de la cultura histórica,como una memoria cultural. Basándome en el filósofohistórico alemán Jörn Rüsen exploro cómo podemoscrear sentido a la historia mediada por el lenguajedel cine. Utilizo entrevistas con jóvenes, como ‘sociosde un diálogo crítico’, donde los jóvenes expresan susexperiencias de películas históricas. Pongo las vocesde los jóvenes a dialogar con teorías de las didácticasde la historia y teorías del cine. Llego a la teorizacióndel concepto de la literacidad de películas históricas(historical film literacy). Una conclusión sobre la literacidadcine-historia para crear sentido a la historia esque se trata de una fusión holística entre la emocióny la cognición, donde la dialéctica entre ambas es lovital. La experiencia del cine en el espectador la nombrovaloración emocional, con el significado de que sebasa en sentimientos básicos combinados con pensamientosde carácter más abstracto, de valor o juicio.La perspectiva crítica es importante dado que el sentidohistórico también tiene que ver con la dialécticapasado - presente - futuro, y la consciencia históricadel ser humano.
