    • I den här artikeln jämförs betingelserna för två alternativa pedagogiker som kan användas för att motverka de inkluderingssvårigheter i skolan som uppstår ur skillnader i kulturellt ursprung eller klasstillhörighet. De två pedagogikerna tar sin utgångspunkt i det socialpolitiska begreppet affirmation», det vill säga bekräftelse av olikhet i form av differentierande och kompenserande åtgärder och begreppen dekonstruktion och transformation. De senare innebär pedagogisk analys, bearbetning och förändring på sikt av grundläggande orättvisa strukturer i utbildning och samhälle. De två alternativa pedagogikerna relateras till skolans beroende av en traditionell liberal välfärdsteori, och texten visar hur den liberala välfärdsteorin motverkar inkludering i skolan. I artikeln diskuteras också möjligheten att inom den specialpedagogiska forskningen närmare utreda hur de två alternativa pedagogikerna skulle kunna samverka, varvid det framkommer att det fortfarande är oklart hur de specialpedagogiska motsättningar som specificeras i artikeln ser ut i detalj.

    • Barn med funktionsnedsättning kan sägas leva i ett kraftfält mellan föräldrarna och de professionella. Föräldrarna kan slitas mellan expertisens kunskaper – och egna tankar om vad som är bäst för barnet. Det är därför viktigt att de professionella även har fokus på föräldrarnas situation och välbefinnande – vilket i sin tur påverkar barnets psykiska välmåga. Barnet och föräldrarna måste också få möjlighet att utveckla sitt samspel genom att bara Vara.

    • AbstractThe purpose of this study was to specify the level of parent satisfaction with services offered to their children with autism in Syria. Additionally, the study attempted to (a) study the effects of the following variables: (parent gender, child's enrollment at the center, family monthly income, parent educational level, age of child) on Parents' satisfaction with services offered to their children. And (b) evaluate parents personal experiences in regard to services offered to their children with Autism in SyriaTo achieve these purposes, the researcher used a questionnaire consisting of two dimensions that was developed specifically for this study. After establishing its reliability and validity, the questionnaire was distributed to (104) parents of autistic children. Semi-structured interviews to achieve the forth purpose were conducted with (20) parents from Lattakia and Damascus. The results of the study indicated the following:- Parents were generally satisfied with services offered to their autistic children in Syria.- There were no effects for the variables, (parent gender, and child’s enrollment at the center, family monthly income, and parent educational level) on satisfaction level among parents and their caregivers.- There was statistically significant difference at α ≤ 0, 05 in the parent’s satisfaction level due to child age. Parents of children over 10 years old reported more satisfaction levels than parents of the children between 5- 10 years old. But parents of children less than 5 year old, did not difference significantly from other groups.- The results of the interviews indicated that generally, the parents had also not enough knowledge with autistic characteristics and the services offered to those children. In addition, lack of Arabic information resources about autism spectrum disorder.

  • Child care and pre-school in Sweden : An overview of practices, tendencies and research

    • The system and policy for child care and pre-school education in Sweden are overviewed: its structure and goals in the context of the Swedish society and its general welfare system are described. New challenges and actual problematic tendencies revealed by national evaluations and research are identified: the increasing quality variation, the broader attendance, the lack of qualified teachers, a narrowly interpretation of the curriculum, the rising numbers of children identified as having special educational needs. Some interpretations of the relationships among these emerging factors are suggested.

    • Purpose. The objective of this study was to test the utility of the International classification of functioning, disability and health – children and youth’s (ICF-CY) Environmental Factors component by classifying family interview data from two ethnically and culturally diverse – Kyrgyz and Uzbek – families that have children with various types of disabilities in Kyrgyzstan, Central Asia.Methods. The eco-cultural family interview (EFI) was used to interview four Kyrgyz and four Uzbek families. The obtained data were analysed by using manifest content analysis; identified units of meaning named as ‘EFI items’ and ‘EFI concepts’were then linked to the ICF-CY’s codes by application of ten linkage rules.Results. The analysis of transcribed interviews identified 669 EFI items and 745 EFI concepts. The linking of EFI items tothe ICF-CY showed: 92 EFI items and concepts were linked to nd (not definable); 104 items were linked to nc (not coveredby the ICF-CY); 15 items were categorised as pf (personal factors); 21 items were linked to categories found in Activities and Participation; and 3 were linked to Body Functions components. The rest of EFI items and concepts were linked to categories of the Environmental Factors component.Conclusion. The codes included into Chapters 1, 2 and 5 of the ICF-CY environmental component can be easily assigned to the relevant EFI items. There is a necessity to add more codes in Chapters 3 and 4 of the Environmental Factorscomponent, and the inclusion of a separate component of Personal Factors into the classification is suggested.
