- The present contribution briefly discusses specific terms for parts of the female body in the Old Norse lexicon. To what degree and how are parts of the body specified lexically, it is asked. In adition the semantics of the compound konulær (‘woman’s thigh’), not at all frequent in texts, is highlighted and discussed in more detail.

- The article discusses the place and the status of the Sami people in historical narratives in Norway. It focuses on history as a school subject but this focus can only be understood by looking at changes in contexts. Of special interest here is the presentations of the Sami in Norwegian textbooks, the status of the Sami people in Norwegian society, and changes in the perspectives in historical research. History has played a significant role in the nation and state building processes in the Western countries, however in the last decades most European societies have seen immigration at a larger scale than before and, hence, new challenges concerning national identity and inclusion of new groups in the new histories of the nations. The indigenous people in Norway, the Sami, have lived both within and across the Norwegian borders. For centuries they were absent in the political and cultural narratives of Norway. After WW II they gradually achieved political recognition and legal rights but it was not until the 1970s they obtained space in Norwegian textbooks. The article shows how narratives about the Sami people have been presented and how they have changed in the last 40 years. The narratives first made the Sami visible, then they focused on the Sami as an object of oppression, and more recently they have presented the Sami as acting subjects in history. The question is not if, and to what extent, the Sami ought to be included in histories of Norway, but rather in what view the majority presents the indigenous people in the textbooks, for example. This discussion is relevant to debates on multiculturality in general and it also offers a deeper understanding of how history works in (ethno)political contexts.

- Ein metasyntese syner at pasientmedverknad under akutt sjukdom kan variere frå at pasienten tek autonome val til at pasientane blir møtt med paternalistiske haldningar. Når livreddande behandling må gjennomførast, er det risiko for at helsepersonell må gjennomføre behandling utan samtykke frå pasienten. Då er det fare for at pasienten kan oppleve situasjonen som krenkande. Akutt sjukdom fører ofte til krevjande samhandling mellom pasient og helsepersonell samt at helsepersonell opplever etiske dilemma. Pasientar opplever mangel på informasjon og har behov for samtaler om eksistensielle problem. Behandling ved akutt sjukdom krev særleg aktsemd for at pasienten ikkje skal misse tillit til helsepersonellet.

- Denne artikkelen belyser pasientmedverknad ved akutt og kronisk sjukdom sett frå pasientar, pårørande og helsepersonell sine perspektiv. Vi har gjort ein narrativ litteraturgjennomgang som løfter fram kompleksiteten i fenomenet. I akutte situasjonar er det risiko for at helsepersonell må bruke makt for å gjennomføre livreddande behandling. Dette krev aktsemd. Kronisk og alvorlig sjukdom er belastande både for pasientar og pårørande. Det synest som det er vanskeleg å gjennomføre kommunikasjon og medverknad i samsvar med ideala som blir uttrykt i lovverk og nasjonale retningslinjer.

- Over tid har forskning om pasientmedvirkning utviklet seg fra å beskrive interaksjoner mellom pasienter og helsepersonell til også å omfatte sosiale og strukturelle faktorers betydning for pasientmedvirkning. Dette krever at forskere bruker ulike forskningsdesign, så vel kvalitative som kvantitative. Narrativ, sosialkonstruktivisme, kritisk diskursanalyse, hermeneutikk, fenomenologi og Grounded Theory er kvalitative design som ofte blir brukt for å belyse ulike sider ved pasientmedvirkning. Ulike profesjoner skal utvikle en felles referanseramme på et område der samarbeid er viktig for å lykkes, og det er derfor verdifullt med tverrfaglige og tverrprofesjonelle tilnærminger i videre forskning på feltet.

- This article discusses the Russian nationalist Oleg Platonov and his Institute for Russian Civilization, a project established for publishing both contemporary works and the classics of Russian intellectual history. Special attention is given to how Platonov, who is otherwise known for his extreme anti-Westernism and anti-Semitism, within the framework of this project actively disseminates not only his own idea of a unique and self-sufficient Russian civilization, but also numerous classics of Russian thought, in particular of the Slavophile current. Various Russian thinkers are presented here as the embodiment of “Russian national thought” and the expression of an alleged “ideology of the Russian people”. On the basis of this analysis, the article reviews Platonov’s contribution to contemporary Russian nationalism more generally and its tendency to make the marginal mainstream.

- In this article, I explore Vasilii Zenkovskii’s contributions to the historiography of Russian intellectual history in his two monographs Russian Thinkers and Europe (1922) and The History of Russian Philosophy (1948–1950). These works are examined with particular reference to the problem of «Russia and Europe». I discuss not just Zenkovskii’s own interpretation of this theme as a central topic in the history of Russian thought, but also how his historical narratives are further contributions to this question. Zenkovskii’s own histories are read as a response to previous discussions of Russia’s relationship with Europe as well as an attempt to reframe this theme in a new, post-revolutionary situation. More specifically, I analyse the way in which Zenkovskii creates a particular dialectical idea of the relationship between Russia and Europe and of the border between them.
