  • A 9-band WCDMA/EDGE transceiver supporting HSPA evolution
  • 2011
  • Ingår i: [Host publication title missing]. - 0193-6530. ; , s. 366-368
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The future of cellular radio ICs lies in the integration of an ever-increasing number of bands and channel bandwidths. This paper presents a transceiver together with the associated discrete front-end components. The transceiver supports 4 EDGE bands and 9 WCDMA bands (l-VI and Vlll-X), while the radio can be configured to simultaneously support the 4 EDGE bands and up to 5 WCDMA bands: 3 high bands (HB) and 2 low bands (LB). The RX is a SAW-less homodyne composed of a main RX and a diversity RX. To reduce package complexity with so many bands, we chose to minimize the number of ports by using single-ended RF interfaces for both RX and TX. This saves seve ral package pins, but requires careful attention to grounding. The main RX has 8 LNA ports and the diversity RX has 5, with some LNAs supporting multiple bands. On the TX side, 2 ports are used for all EDGE bands and 4 for the WCDMA bands.

  • A parametric Analysis of the Undeformed Chip Geometry in Gear Hobbing
  • 2009
  • Ingår i: Journal of Manufacturing Science and Engineering. - : ASME International. - 1528-8935 .- 1087-1357. ; 131:December 2009, s. 1-061003
  • Forskningsöversikt (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Hobbing is a common manufacturing method when producing helical, involute gears. In order to increase tool life and surface finish, an accurate method to determine chip geometry is needed. Although this accurateness may involve numeric solutions, the geometric description must, as far as possible, be analytic and give a description of the continuously changing chip geometry. In this report, the cutting edges of the tool are mathematically described using parametric and analytically differentiable functions. This gives the possibility to determine the geometry of the three-dimensional surface on the blank each cutting edge will cut, with numeric approximations kept to a minimum. By comparing successively cut surfaces, the chip geometry is determined using the tool and process parameters. The mathematical description gives the possibility to calculate the required characteristic properties of the chips. These are needed for increasing the tool life in order to develop more efficient tools and processes. An example is given in which characteristics, as the maximum chip thickness, the chip cross-section area, and the mean chip thickness are calculated. The reported theory describes in detail how the chip geometry is determined.

  • A dislocation density based constitutive model for as-cast Al-Si alloys : Effect of temperature and microstructure
  • 2017
  • Ingår i: International Journal of Mechanical Sciences. - : Elsevier. - 0020-7403 .- 1879-2162. ; 121, s. 164-170
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The flow stress of an as-cast Al-Si based alloy was modeled using a dislocation density based model. The developed dislocation density-based constitutive model describes the flow curve of the alloy with various microstructures at quite wide temperature range. Experimental data in the form of stress-strain curves for different strain rates ranging from 10−4 to 10−1 s−1 and temperatures ranging from ambient temperature up to 400 °C were used for model calibration. In order to model precisely the hardening and recovery process at elevated temperature, the interaction between vacancies and dissolved Si was included. The calibrated temperature dependent parameters for different microstructure were correlated to the metallurgical event of the material and validated. For the first time, a dislocation density based model was successfully developed for Al-Si cast alloys. The findings of this work expanded the knowledge on short strain tensile deformation behaviour of these type of alloys at different temperature, which is a critical element for conducting a reliable microstructural FE-simulation.

  • Optimization and validation of a dislocation density based constitutive model for as-cast Mg-9%Al-1%Zn
  • 2018
  • Ingår i: Materials Science & Engineering. - : Elsevier. - 0921-5093 .- 1873-4936. ; 710, s. 17-26
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • A dislocation density-based constitutive model, including effects of microstructure scale and temperature, was calibrated to predict flow stress of an as-cast AZ91D (Mg-9%Al-1%Zn) alloy. Tensile stress-strain data, for strain rates from 10-4 up to 10-1 s-1 and temperatures from room temperature up to 190 °C were used for model calibration. The used model accounts for the interaction of various microstructure features with dislocations and thereby on the plastic properties. It was shown that the Secondary Dendrite Arm Spacing (SDAS) size was appropriate as an initial characteristic microstructural scale input to the model. However, as strain increased the influence of subcells size and total dislocation density dominated the flow stress. The calibrated temperature-dependent parameters were validated through a correlation between microstructure and the physics of the deforming alloy. The model was validated by comparison with dislocation density obtained by using Electron Backscattered Diffraction (EBSD) technique.

  • Adaptiv reglering av verktygsvibrationer i svarvoperationen
  • 1998
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
