  • Influence of state-of-charge in commercial LiNi0.33Mn0.33Co0.33O2/LiMn2O4-graphite cells analyzed by synchrotron-based photoelectron spectroscopy
  • 2018
  • Ingår i: Journal of Energy Storage. - : Elsevier BV. - 2352-152X .- 2352-1538. ; 15, s. 172-180
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Degradation mechanisms in 26 Ah commercial Li-ion battery cells comprising graphite as the negative electrode and mixed metal oxide of LiMn 2 O 4 (LMO) and LiNi 1/3 Mn 1/3 Co 1/3 O 2 (NMC) as the positive electrode are here investigated utilising extensive cycling at two different state-of-charge (SOC) ranges, 10–20% and 60–70%, as well as post-mortem analysis. To better analyze these mechanisms electrochemically, the cells were after long-term cycling reassembled into laboratory scale “half-cells” using lithium metal as the negative electrode, and thereafter cycled at different rates corresponding to 0.025 mA/cm 2 and 0.754 mA/cm 2 . The electrodes were also analyzed by synchrotron-based hard x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (HAXPES) using two different excitation energies to determine the chemical composition of the interfacial layers formed at different depth on the respective electrodes. It was found from the extensive cycling that the cycle life was shorter for the cell cycled in the higher SOC range, 60–70%, which is correlated to findings of an increased cell resistance and thickness of the SEI layer in the graphite electrode as well as manganese dissolution from the positive electrode.

  • Formal and informal communication in a project organisation: The case of a large construction project
  • 2006
  • Ingår i: Proceedings of IRNOP VII Project Research Conference, October 11-13, Xian, China. - 712103252X
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • In larger projects, where large numbers of project participants are involved, it is important to have a well functioning project organisation. The more complex a project is the more planning and control is needed. The study presented in this paper investigates an installation company’s formal and informal communication when constructing a new power plant for district heating, in Göteborg, Sweden. This is done in order to understand the informal communication and its effect on the project organisation. Literature reviews and interviews with managers involved in the project have been done. The results of the study indicate that the actual organisational structure differs from the planned structure in terms of communication paths. Actors involved, tend to contact each other beside the formal chain of order. A well functioning project team with established informal communication paths might be a possibility to achieve success in projects.

  • Tissue-specific transcriptional imprinting and heterogeneity in human innate lymphoid cells revealed by full-length single-cell RNA-sequencing
  • 2021
  • Ingår i: Cell Research. - : Springer Science and Business Media LLC. - 1748-7838 .- 1001-0602. ; 31:5, s. 554-568
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The impact of the microenvironment on innate lymphoid cell (ILC)-mediated immunity in humans remains largely unknown. Here we used full-length Smart-seq2 single-cell RNA-sequencing to unravel tissue-specific transcriptional profiles and heterogeneity of CD127+ ILCs across four human tissues. Correlation analysis identified gene modules characterizing the migratory properties of tonsil and blood ILCs, and signatures of tissue-residency, activation and modified metabolism in colon and lung ILCs. Trajectory analysis revealed potential differentiation pathways from circulating and tissue-resident naïve ILCs to a spectrum of mature ILC subsets. In the lung we identified both CRTH2+ and CRTH2− ILC2 with lung-specific signatures, which could be recapitulated by alarmin-exposure of circulating ILC2. Finally, we describe unique TCR-V(D)J-rearrangement patterns of blood ILC1-like cells, revealing a subset of potentially immature ILCs with TCR-δ rearrangement. Our study provides a useful resource for in-depth understanding of ILC-mediated immunity in humans, with implications for disease.

  • How the utilised SOC window in commercial Li-ion pouch cells influence battery ageing
  • 2021
  • Ingår i: Journal of Power Sources Advances. - : Elsevier BV. - 2666-2485. ; 8
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • In many lithium-ion battery (LIB) applications, e.g. hybrid vehicles and load-levelling storage systems, only part of the state-of-charge (SOC) range needs to be utilised. This offers the possibility to use an optimal SOC window to avoid LIB ageing. Here, a large test matrix is designed to study LIB ageing in a commercial 26 Ah pouch cell, in order to map the ageing behaviour at different SOC levels with respect to temperature and current. A quantification of the degradation modes, loss of lithium inventory (LLI), loss of active positive (LAM(PE)) and negative (LAM(NE)) electrode materials is made by analysing the change in the open circuit voltage (OCV). A key result is that lower SOC intervals significantly improved battery ageing. Even during harsh test conditions, such as high Crates and temperatures, the cells deliver more than three times the expected number of full cycle equivalents. High SOC combined with high C-rate increase ageing where the dominating ageing mechanisms are LLI, followed by LAM(PE).
