  • Cu(II) Complexes as p-Type Dopants in Efficient Perovskite Solar Cells
  • 2017
  • Ingår i: ACS Energy Letters. - : American Chemical Society (ACS). - 2380-8195. ; 2:2, s. 497-503
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • In this work, two Cu(II) complex compounds are designed and synthesized for applications as p-type dopants in solid-state perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Through the characterization of the optical and electrochemical properties, the complex Cu(bpcm)(2) is shown to be eligible for oxidization of the commonly used hole-transport material (HTM) SpiroOMeTAD. The reason is the electron-withdrawing effect of the chloride groups on the ligands. When the complex was applied as p-type dopant in PSCs containing Spiro-OMeTAD as HTM, an efficiency as high as 18.5% was achieved. This is the first time a Cu(II) pyridine complex has been used as p-type dopant in PSCs.

  • Post-crosslinking towards stimuli-responsive sodium alginate beads for the removal of dye and heavy metals
  • 2015
  • Ingår i: Carbohydrate Polymers. - : Elsevier BV. - 0144-8617 .- 1879-1344. ; 133, s. 587-595
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Post-crosslinking as a new strategy to prepare sodium alginate (SA) beads with controllable swelling behavior, pH sensitivity and adsorption capacity was developed by using the solution of glutaraldehyde (GA), acetic acid and hydrochloric acid as the coagulating agent, for which could be used to fabricate polysaccharide beads in a large scale. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis convinced the successful cross-linking of SA by GA. The macro-porous structures of the beads were observed by scanning electron microscopy. Both acetic acid and hydrochloric acid had great effects on the swelling behavior and pH sensitivity of the SA beads. The SA beads could adsorb cationic dye (methylene blue) as high as 572 mg/g and other metal ions (Cu2+, Ag+ and Fe3+). The adsorption processes fitted well with the pseudo-second-order kinetic model and the Freundlich isotherm. The large-scale production of SA beads with tunable properties opens a new route to industrially utilize polysaccharide beads in wastewater treatments, intelligent separation and so on.

  • Formation and temporal evolution of modulated structure in high Nb-containing lamellar gamma-TiAl alloy
  • 2019
  • Ingår i: Acta Materialia. - : PERGAMON-ELSEVIER SCIENCE LTD. - 1359-6454 .- 1873-2453. ; 165, s. 215-227
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The formation and temporal evolution of the modulated structure in a lamellar gamma-based Ti-45Al-8.5Nb alloy have been investigated by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) in combination with first-principles theory in this work. The results show that the Nb-rich O phase as a constituent of the modulated structure is thermodynamically stable below 650 degrees C in the alpha(2) lamellae. The morphology of the O phase variants changes from thin plate-like shape with a low volume fraction at initial annealing to rectangle/square shape with a high volume fraction after a prolonged annealing, and the retransformed alpha(2), named as alpha(2-II) hereafter, emerges at intersections of the variants with two orthogonal habit planes due to their elastic interactions. The partitioning coefficient of Nb between the O phase and alpha(2) is about 2 at 600 degrees C. The diffusion coefficient of Nb derived from growth kinetics of the O phase is about (1.3 +/- 0.2) x 10(-22) m(2)s(-1) in the alpha(2) lamellae. Significant precipitation hardening effect of the O phase has been revealed for the alpha(2) lamellae and gamma/(alpha(2)+O) lamellar microstructure, which is supposed to be attributed to refining the alpha(2) lamellae associated with elastic strain energy from the alpha(2) -> O phase transformation and introducing the interface between the modulated lamella and adjacent gamma phase. • Reconstruction of genome-scale metabolic model of Yarrowia lipolytica and its application in overproduction of triacylglycerol
  • 2017
  • Ingår i: Bioresources and Bioprocessing. - : Springer. - 2197-4365. ; 4:1
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Background: Yarrowia lipolytica is widely studied as a non-conventional model yeast owing to the high level of lipid accumulation. Therein, triacylglycerol (TAG) is a major component of liposome. In order to investigate the TAG biosynthesis mechanism at a systematic level, a novel genome-scale metabolic model of Y. lipolytica was reconstructed based on a previous model iYL619_PCP published by our lab and another model iYali4 published by Kerkhoven et al. Results: The novel model iYL_2.0 contains 645 genes, 1083 metabolites, and 1471 reactions, which was validated more effective on simulations of specific growth rate. The precision of 29 carbon sources utilities reached up to 96.6% when simulated by iYL_2.0. In minimal growth medium, 111 genes were identified as essential for cell growth, whereas 66 essential genes were identified in yeast extract medium, which were verified by database of essential genes, suggesting a better prediction ability of iYL_2.0 in comparison with other existing models. In addition, potential metabolic engineering targets of improving TAG production were predicted by three in silico methods developed in-house, and the effects of amino acids supplementation were investigated based on model iYL_2.0. Conclusions: The reconstructed model iYL_2.0 is a powerful platform for efficiently optimizing the metabolism of TAG and systematically understanding the physiological mechanism of Y. lipolytica.
