  • Determination of the number of ψ(3686) events at BESIII
  • 2018
  • Ingår i: Chinese Physics C. - : IOP Publishing. - 1674-1137 .- 2058-6132. ; 42:2
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The numbers of psi(3686) events accumulated by the BESIII detector for the data taken during 2009 and 2012 are determined to be (107.0 +/- 0.8)x10(6) and (341.1 +/- 2.1)x10(6), respectively, by counting inclusive hadronic events, where the uncertainties are systematic and the statistical uncertainties are negligible. The number of events for the sample taken in 2009 is consistent with that of the previous measurement. The total number of psi(3686) events for the two data taking periods is (448.1 +/- 2.9) x 10(6).

  • Measurement of e(+)e(-) -> pi(+)pi(-) psi(3686) from 4.008 to 4.600 GeV and observation of a charged structure in the pi(+/-)psi(3686) mass spectrum
  • 2017
  • Ingår i: Physical Review D. - 2470-0010 .- 2470-0029. ; 96:3
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • We study the process e(+)e(-) -> p(+)p(-)psi(3686) using 5.1 fb(-1) of data collected at 16 center-of-mass energy (root s) points from 4.008 to 4.600 GeV by the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider. The measured Born cross sections for e(+)e(-) -> p(+)p(-)psi(3686) are consistent with previous results, but with much improved precision. A fit to the cross section shows contributions from two structures: the first has M = 4209.5 +/- 7.4 +/- 1.4 MeV/c(2) and Gamma = 80.1 +/- 24.6 +/- 2.9 MeV, and the second has M = 4383.8 +/- 4.2 +/- 0.8 MeV/c(2) and Gamma = 84.2 +/- 12.5 +/- 2.1 MeV, where the first errors are statistical and the second systematic. The lower-mass resonance is observed in the process e(+)e(-) -> p(+)p(-)psi(3686) for the first time with a statistical significance of 5.8 sigma. A charged charmoniumlike structure is observed in the pi(+/-)psi(3686) invariant mass spectrum for data at root s = 4.416 GeV. A fit with an S-wave Breit-Wigner function yields a mass M = 4032.1 +/- 2.4 MeV/c(2), where the errors are statistical only. However, there are still unresolved discrepancies between the fit model and data. The width of the intermediate state varies in a wide range for different kinematic regions within the data set. Therefore, no simple interpretation of the data has been found, and a future data sample with larger statistics and more theoretical input will be required to better understand this issue.

  • Measurement of the integrated Luminosities of cross-section scan data samples around the psi(3770) mass region
  • 2018
  • Ingår i: Chinese Physics C. - : SCIENCE PRESS. - 1674-1137 .- 2058-6132. ; 42:6
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • To investigate the nature of the psi(3770) resonance and to measure the cross section for e(+)e(-) -> D (D) over bar, a cross-section scan data sample, distributed among 41 center-of-mass energy points from 3.73 to 3.89 GeV, was taken with the BESIII detector operated at the BEPCII collider in the year 2010. By analyzing the large angle Bhabha scattering events, we measure the integrated luminosity of the data sample at each center-of-mass energy point. The total integrated luminosity of the data sample is 76.16 +/- 0.04 +/- 0.61 pb(-1), where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic.

  • Observation of the Semileptonic Decay D-0 -> a(0)(980)(-)e(+)nu(e) and Evidence for D+ -> a(0)(980)(0)e(+)nu(e)
  • 2018
  • Ingår i: Physical Review Letters. - : AMER PHYSICAL SOC. - 0031-9007 .- 1079-7114. ; 121:8
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Using an e(+)e(-) collision data sample of 2.93 fb(-1) collected at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV by the BESIII detector at BEPCII, we report the observation of D-0 -> a(0)(980)(-)e(+)nu(e) and evidence for D+ -> a(0)(980)(0)e(+)nu(e) with significances of 6.4 sigma and 2.9 sigma, respectively. The absolute branching fractions are determined to be B(D-0 -> a(0)(980)(-)e(+)nu(e)) x B(a(0)(980)(-) -> eta pi(-)) = [1.33(-0.29)(+0.33)(stat) +/- 0.09(syst)] x 10(-4) and B(D+ -> a(0)(980)(0)e(+)nu(e)) x B(a(0)(980)(0) -> eta pi(0)) = [1.66(-0.66)(+0.81)(stat) +/- 0.11(syst) x 10(-4). This is the first time the a(0)(980) meson has been measured in a D-0 semileptonic decay, which would open one more interesting page in the investigation of the nature of the puzzling a(0)(980) states.

  • Search for the rare decay D+ → D0e+νe
  • 2017
  • Ingår i: Physical Review D. - 2470-0010 .- 2470-0029. ; 96:9
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Using a data set with an integrated luminosity of 2.93 fb(-1) collected at root s = 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage rings, we search for the rare decay D+ -> D(0)e(+)nu(e). No signal events are observed. We set the upper limit on the branching fraction for D+ -> D(0)e(+)nu(e) to be 1.0 x 10(-4) at the 90% confidence level.

  • A Comprehensive Pan-Cancer Molecular Study of Gynecologic and Breast Cancers.
  • 2018
  • Ingår i: Cancer Cell. - : Elsevier BV. - 1535-6108 .- 1878-3686. ; 33:4, s. 690-705.e9
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • We analyzed molecular data on 2,579 tumors from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) of four gynecological types plus breast. Our aims were to identify shared and unique molecular features, clinically significant subtypes, and potential therapeutic targets. We found 61 somatic copy-number alterations (SCNAs) and 46 significantly mutated genes (SMGs). Eleven SCNAs and 11 SMGs had not been identified in previous TCGA studies of the individual tumor types. We found functionally significant estrogen receptor-regulated long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) and gene/lncRNA interaction networks. Pathway analysis identified subtypes with high leukocyte infiltration, raising potential implications for immunotherapy. Using 16 key molecular features, we identified five prognostic subtypes and developed a decision tree that classified patients into the subtypes based on just six features that are assessable in clinical laboratories.

  • Cross perishable effect on optimal inventory preservation control
  • 2019
  • Ingår i: European Journal of Operational Research. - : ELSEVIER SCIENCE BV. - 0377-2217 .- 1872-6860. ; 276:3, s. 998-1012
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • It is very common that retailers are storing and managing perishables of multiple types together. Due to chemical or biological reactions, the preservation period of some perishables (e.g., vegetables, fruits, fish, meats) either prolongs or shortens with the co-storage of other product types. Although this phenomenon is significant, it has not been mentioned in the perishable inventory literature. Therefore in this research, we first introduce the concept of cross-perishability. We then formulate an inventory model with a novel control variable of preservation effort that in turn affects the preservation period with cross-perishability when multiple product-types coexist. With an Internet of Things (IoT) sensor system as the background, this model takes the advantage of real time data, based on which the cross perishable effect, inventory characteristics and control policy can be analyzed. Our results indicate that an integrated decision making mechanism with consideration of the cross perishable effect should lead to an improved global mixed perishable inventory policy, in terms of reducing the deterioration cost, decreasing the inventory level, and improving the perishables quality. We prove the upper and lower bound conditions for the decision variables and utilize this result to facilitate the searching algorithm for a fast convergence to the feasible global optima for the non-linear problem with multiple product types and cross perishable effects. In conclusion, we offer managerial and policy implication for the perishable inventory system where the cross perishable effect should be seriously considered. (C) 2019 Elsevier B.V. • Heat transfer analysis of phase change materials with metal foams
  • 2021
  • Ingår i: 2021 22nd International Conference on Electronic Packaging Technology, ICEPT 2021.
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • With the development of electronic products towards high-density integration, high performance and multifunction, the working frequencies and power consumption rate of electronic components and devices increase substantially. The resulting temperature rise has a great impact on the operation and lifetime of electronic products. Transient temperature control and efficient heat dissipation are essential to the stability and reliability of the electronic components and products. Paraffin wax, as one of the most commonly used phase change materials, has been widely applied in many products requiring transient temperature control due to its melting temperature lying in the range of electronics operation conditions. However, the applicable scopes of phase change materials were limited due to their shortcomings of low thermal conductivity and heat dissipation. In the present paper, both metal forms and carbon nanomaterials are used as thermal enhancers to increase the conduction of paraffin wax, and the heat transfer characters of the composites are investigated by numerical method. The simulation results show that the introduction of Cu or Ni foam as heat conductive enhancers can significantly increase the effective thermal conductivity of paraffin wax composite. The thermal conductivity of the composite with Ni foams is 3.684 times higher than that of the paraffin wax, and the increase is 12.485 times when Cu foam is used instead of Ni foam. Furthermore, the heat transfer of the composites can be strengthened by adding carbon nanomaterials into the paraffin wax so as to increase the thermal conductivity of the matrix. The simulation results show that the impact of dispersed carbon nanomaterials on thermal enhancement of the composites is less significant than that of metal foams.
