  • Laborativt arbete i fysikundervisningen : Något som behöver diskuteras!
  • 2015

  • Photoluminescence photoresponse from InSb/InAs-based quantum dot structures
  • 2012
  • Ingår i: Optics Express. - : Optical Society of America. - 1094-4087. ; 20:19, s. 21264-71
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • InSb-based quantum dots grown by metal-organic vapor-phase epitaxy (MOVPE) on InAs substrates are studied for use as the active material in interband photon detectors. Long-wavelength infrared (LWIR) photoluminescence is demonstrated with peak emission at 8.5 μm and photoresponse, interpreted to originate from type-II interband transitions in a p-i-n photodiode, was measured up to 6 μm, both at 80 K. The possibilities and benefits of operation in the LWIR range (8-12 μm) are discussed and the results suggest that InSb-based quantum dot structures can be suitable candidates for photon detection in the LWIR regime.

  • Swedish Water Management : A Comparison of some Municipal Master Plans and the Requests of the Water Framework Directive
  • 2003
  • Ingår i: Vatten. - 0042-2886. ; 59:2, s. 75-80
  • Tidskriftsartikel (övrigt vetenskapligt/konstnärligt)abstract
    • A selection of 14 Swedish municipal master plans have been compared with the requirements of future river basin plans, as prescribed in the Water Framework Directive. The municipal master plans can be considered as the main planning documents to provide guidance for decision-making on water use in Sweden. Thus, they represent the long-term plans for water use. The comparison gives a hint on what effect the implementation of the Water Framework Directive will have on the Swedish water management system. The result shows that most of the prescribed contents of the river basin plan are covered very briefly, or not covered at all, in the master plans. Economic analysis, environmental goals and monitoring are issues that are covered in a highly defective way, compared to what is prescribed for the future river basin plans. Only the identification of protected areas are covered to a high extent. The conclusion is that implementation of the Water Framework Directive will not only change the form of administration and management of water resources in Sweden. Many new aspects concerning the substance and content of water management must also be considered in the future.

  • Effects of Mindfulness-Acceptance-Commitment (MAC) on Sport-Specific Dispositional Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, and Self-Rated Athletic Performance in a Multiple-Sport Population : an RCT Study
  • 2019
  • Ingår i: Mindfulness. - New York, NY : Springer. - 1868-8527 .- 1868-8535. ; 10:8, s. 1518-1529
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • ObjectivesThe aim of the study was to examine mediating effects of emotion regulation and sport-specific dispositional mindfulness on self-rated athletic training performance, following the Mindfulness-Acceptance-Commitment (MAC) intervention, compared to a Psychological Skills Training (PST) control group.MethodsSixty-nine competitive elite athletes who did not have any prior experience with mindfulness- and acceptance-based exercises, were recruited and randomly assigned into either a MAC group or a traditional PST group. Latent growth curve analyses were performed to examine longitudinal relationships among the study variables. Mediation analyses were conducted to test if the growth trajectory of each of the proposed mediators mediated the relationship between the intervention and perceived performance (measured at T3).ResultsFindings showed that the MAC intervention had an indirect effect on self-rated athletic training performance through changes in dispositional mindfulness and emotion regulation respectively. Further, the MAC- group obtained greater post-test improvements in athletic mindfulness, emotion regulation abilities, and perceived performance compared to the PST group.ConclusionsOverall, findings suggest that dispositional athletic mindfulness and emotion regulation may function as important mechanisms in MAC, and that the MAC approach is a more effective intervention compared to the PST condition in reducing emotion regulation difficulties, as well as enhancing sport-relevant mindfulness skills and perceived athletic training performance in elite sport.

  • Mindfulness Mechanisms in Sports: Mediating Effects of Rumination and Emotion Regulation on Sport-Specific Coping
  • 2017
  • Ingår i: Mindfulness. - New York, NY : Springer Science and Business Media LLC. - 1868-8527 .- 1868-8535. ; 8:5, s. 1354-1363
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The main objective of the project was to examine a proposed theoretical model of mindfulness mechanisms in sports. We conducted two studies (the first study using a cross-sectional design and the second a longitudinal design) to investigate if rumination and emotion regulation mediate the relation between dispositional mindfulness and sport-specific coping. Two hundred and forty-two young elite athletes, drawn from various sports, were recruited for the cross-sectional study. For the longitudinal study, 65 elite athletes were recruited. All analyses were performed using Bayesian statistics. The path analyses showed credible indirect effects of dispositional mindfulness on coping via rumination and emotion regulation in both the cross-sectional study and the longitudinal study. Additionally, the results in both studies showed credible direct effects of dispositional mindfulness on rumination and emotion regulation. Further, credible direct effects of emotion regulation as well as rumination on coping were also found in both studies. Our findings support the theoretical model, indicating that rumination and emotion regulation function as essential mechanisms in the relation between dispositional mindfulness and sport-specific coping skills. Increased dispositional mindfulness in competitive athletes (i.e. by practicing mindfulness) may lead to reductions in rumination, as well as an improved capacity to regulate negative emotions. By doing so, athletes may improve their sport-related coping skills, and thereby enhance athletic performance.

  • A GPRS Testbed for TCP Performance Measurements
  • 2002
  • Ingår i: 4th International Workshop on Mobile and Wireless Communications Network. - : IEEE conference proceedings. - 0780376056 ; , s. 320-324
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • In this paper a GPRS measurement testbed for TCP performance evaluation is presented. Unlike simulations and live measurements, the testbed combines the use of real network equipment and protocol implementations with a precise control over radio channel conditions. Some initial TCP measurements obtained with the GPRS testbed are also presented. The effect of varying numbers of PDCH and of buffering in the GPRS system is investigated.

  • A GSM/GPRS Testbed for TCP Performance Evaluation
  • 2002
  • Ingår i: Proceedings of International Workshop on Wired/Wireless Internet Communications. - : CSREA Press. - 1892512386 ; , s. 19-26
  • Konferensbidrag (övrigt vetenskapligt/konstnärligt)abstract
    • Investigating the wireless Internet is a nontrivial task dueto the complexity of wireless systems and the many protocolinteractions that appear. In this paper we present a measurementtestbed that allows us to investigate the performanceof Internet traffic over a real GSM network but witha controlled radio environment and traffic load. A detailedperformance evaluation of TCP over GSM is presented. Arange of radio conditions are considered with a focus on theinteraction between TCP and the GSM link layer. With respectto efficient protocol layer interaction, the results showthat high variability in round trip times is more problematicthan poor radio conditions. How the testbed has been extendedfor GPRS and planned measurements for this systemare also discussed.

  • TCP and GSM Link Layer Interactions : Implications for the Wireless Internet
  • 2001
  • Ingår i: IEEE VTS 53rd Vehicular Technology Conference, 2001. - : IEEE conference proceedings. - 0780367286 ; , s. 2198-2202
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The demand for wireless access to the Internet has grown rapidly making the performance of TCP in wireless environments an important issue. We present experimental measurements of the performance of TCP over GSM. The measurements were captured over a real GSM network connected to a controlled radio environment. A range of radio conditions were considered with a focus on the interaction between TCP and the GSM link layer. Even for very poor radio conditions, only neglible negative interaction effects were found.
