  • Co-creating Solution Value: Understanding Process Dynamics and Digitization Effects
  • 2020
  • Doktorsavhandling (övrigt vetenskapligt/konstnärligt)abstract
    • Co-creating Solution Value“The only constant in life is change” – Heraclitus. Understanding changes in business is pivotal. How do changes occur and what are the consequences of changes? This thesis takes solution business as an empirical context and specifically inquires into the process of solution value co-creation, i.e. how multiple actors (both companies and individuals) co-create solution value for customers. The thesis investigates how different actors’ goals develop in the process of solution value co-creation and how the development of these goals contributes to the process. In addition, a sub-theme of the thesis is to investigate the effects of solution digitization on the process of solution value co-creation.Based on two longitudinal case studies, the thesis develops the concept of value register as a way of inquiring into the role of actors’ goals in value co-creation. This concept is defined as an actor’s intention in value co-creation to create value in a specific value dimension. Based on the empirical cases, the thesis also develops a conceptual framework concerning how value-register-led individual actors create value in solution value co-creation (the “VRVC” framework). Drawing on this framework, the thesis identifies three patterns of influence between actors in solution value co-creation and proposes a process theory of how the development of actors’ value registers contributes to solution value co-creation. Finally, the thesis identifies five features of digitized solutions and their impacts on solution value co-creation.

  • Creating and delivering sustainable customer solutions: on organizing capabilities in the era of servitization
  • 2018
  • Ingår i: Organizing Marketing and Sales: Mastering Contemporary B2B Challenges. - : Emerald Publishing Limited. - 9781787549685 - 9781787549692 ; , s. 223-239
  • Bokkapitel (övrigt vetenskapligt/konstnärligt)abstract
    • In this chapter, a new view (a circular process view) of solutions is introduced to help product companies to cocreate sustainable solutions with their customers. Derived from this new view, the required distinctive capabilities for organizing sustainable customer solutions are elaborated. They are (1) understanding the customer’s actual and ongoing needs, (2) organizing responsive systems integration, (3) ensuring continuous customer value creation, and (4) sustaining the solution in the network.

  • Analysis of proton/fluoride spin-lattice NMR dispersion experiment of an ionic liquid, BMIM[PF6] by using molecular dynamics simulations and relaxation theory
  • 2015
  • Annan publikation (övrigt vetenskapligt/konstnärligt)abstract
    • Proton/Fluoride spin-lattice nuclear magnetic relaxation dispersion(NMRD) measurements of 1-Butyl-3-methylimidazolium-hexa fluorophosphate (BMIM[PF6])have been carried out using a 1T Stelar FFC2000 fast-field-cycling instrument at proton Larmor frequencies ranging from 10 kHz to 40 MHz and at different temperatures. The NMRD profiles are interpreted by means of a simple relaxation modelbased on the inter- and intra-molecular dipole dipole relaxation mechanims. Using an atomic and a coarse-grained (CG)Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulations at temperature 323 K the relevant dipole-dipole correlation functions are calculated. The result indicate that the NMRD profiles can be rationalized using a combination of intra and inter molecular dipole-dipole couplings. However, both are mainly modulated by molecular reorientation whereas translation diffusion plays a minor role. The molecular reorientation dynamics  of BMIM[PF6] ,BMIM+ ion are in the nano secondtime regime whereas the reorientation of  [PF6]- is much faster and loses its correlation in the ps regime. The relaxation mechanism for  [PF6]- is H-F inter-molecular dipole-dipole coupling which is modulated by the reorientation of  the H-containing molecule.

  • Adaptive Beam Tracking With Supervised Learning
  • Annan publikation (övrigt vetenskapligt/konstnärligt)abstract
    •  Utilizing millimeter-wave (mmWave) frequencies forwireless communication in mobile systems is challenging sincecontinuous tracking of the beam direction is needed. For the purpose, beam sweeping is performed periodically. Such approachcan be sufficient in the initial deployment of the network whenthe number of users is small. However, a more efficient solutionis needed when lots of users are connected to the network due tohigher overhead consumption. We explore a supervised learningapproach to adaptively perform beam sweeping, which has lowimplementation complexity and can improve cell capacity byreducing beam sweeping overhead. By formulating the beamtracking problem as a binary classification problem, we appliedsupervised learning methods to solve the formulated problem. The methods were tested on two scenarios: ray-tracing outdoorscenario and over-the-air (OTA) testing dataset from Ericsson. Both experimental results show that the proposed methodssignificantly increase cell throughput comparing with existingexhaustive sweeping and periodical sweeping strategies.

  • Can Environmental Tax Bring Strong Porter Effect? Evidence From Chinese Listed Companies
  • 2024
  • Annan publikation (övrigt vetenskapligt/konstnärligt)abstract
    • Existing researches verify Porter hypothesis mainly through one of its core establishment paths, innovation compensation, but ignore the other one, first-mover advantage. To further clarify the mechanism of Porter hypothesis, this paper considers both paths and further distinguishes between environmental R&D and non-environmental R&D. Based on the principle of the smooth transition of "charge to tax" in China, this paper, taking Chinese A-share listed companies that have disclosed environmental R&D from 2008 to 2017 as sample and predicting environmental tax by pollution charge, analyses the relationship between environmental tax and firm performance and the transmission mechanism between them. Our results show that environmental tax can improve firm performance and this influence remains in long term. After introducing instrument variable (IV) to deal with endogeneity and conducting a series of robustness tests, we find that the relationship between environmental tax and firm performance is robust causality. Furthermore, using mediating effect model to analyse the transmission mechanism, we prove that environmental tax can affect firm performance through innovation compensation and first-mover advantage, which confirms the two core paths of Porter hypothesis. This study reveals the micro mechanism of environmental tax on firm performance, provides evidence from China to support strong Porter hypothesis, and helps guide environmental tax reform and corporate green strategy management.
