  • The first visual object tracking segmentation VOTS2023 challenge results
  • 2023
  • Ingår i: 2023 IEEE/CVF International conference on computer vision workshops (ICCVW). - : Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc.. - 9798350307443 - 9798350307450 ; , s. 1788-1810
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The Visual Object Tracking Segmentation VOTS2023 challenge is the eleventh annual tracker benchmarking activity of the VOT initiative. This challenge is the first to merge short-term and long-term as well as single-target and multiple-target tracking with segmentation masks as the only target location specification. A new dataset was created; the ground truth has been withheld to prevent overfitting. New performance measures and evaluation protocols have been created along with a new toolkit and an evaluation server. Results of the presented 47 trackers indicate that modern tracking frameworks are well-suited to deal with convergence of short-term and long-term tracking and that multiple and single target tracking can be considered a single problem. A leaderboard, with participating trackers details, the source code, the datasets, and the evaluation kit are publicly available at the challenge website1

  • Plasma metallothionein antibody and cadmium-induced renal dysfunction in an occupational population in China.
  • 2006
  • Ingår i: Toxicological sciences : an official journal of the Society of Toxicology. - : Oxford University Press (OUP). - 1096-6080. ; 91:1, s. 104-12
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • It has been reported that anti-metallothionein (a metallothionein antibody) is present in the circulation of healthy subjects and in patients suffering from atopic dermatitis. The aim of this study was to investigate whether cadmium-induced renal dysfunction is related to the presence of the plasma metallothionein antibody (MT-Ab) in workers exposed to cadmium (Cd) occupationally. Plasma metallothionein antibody was determined by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) techniques, and both exposure assessment and risk assessment were conducted in cadmium-exposed workers in China. We demonstrate that there is a significantly increased prevalence of renal dysfunction with respect to the level of urinary cadmium in a dose-dependent manner. We found no significant correlations between the levels of MT-Ab and the external or internal exposure doses of cadmium (p > 0.05), but the levels of MT-Ab did correlate positively with two biomarkers of renal dysfunction-urinary beta2-microglobulin (UB2M; r = 0.218, p < 0.05) and N-acetyl-beta-D-glucosaminidase (UNAG; r = 0.302, p < 0.001)-in the cadmium-exposed workers. Workers who have high levels of MT-Ab display cadmium-induced tubular nephrotoxicity more frequently than those possessing low levels of MT-Ab; odds ratio (OR) 4.2; 95% confidence intervals 1.2-14.5 (p < 0.05). This study suggests that subjects that have higher MT-Ab levels more readily develop cadmium-induced renal dysfunction. Thus, the levels of plasma MT-Ab can be used as a biomarker of susceptibility to renal dysfunction in occupational cadmium exposure.

  • Asymmetrically coupled co single-atom and co nanoparticle in double-shelled carbon-based nanoreactor for enhanced reversible oxygen catalysis
  • 2023
  • Ingår i: Chemical Engineering Journal. - : Elsevier. - 1385-8947 .- 1873-3212. ; 455
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Simultaneous construction of size-asymmetric metal single atoms and nanoparticle active sites in advanced and robust carrier materials is particularly important yet challenging for efficient reversible oxygen catalysis. Herein, a facile “chemical etching/in-Situ capture” synthesis strategy was developed to fabricate a unique double-shelled carbon-based nanobox integrated with size-asymmetric Co single-atom (CoSA) and metallic Co nanoparticle (CoNP) moiety. As expected, this well-managed catalyst product yielded remarkable bifunctional electrocatalytic performances in alkaline electrolytes, with a decent half-wave potential of 0.886 V for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) and a small overpotential of 341 mV at 10 mA/cm2 for oxygen evolution reaction (OER). Besides, this nanobox catalyst served as a cost-effective and efficient oxygen electrode in the assembled rechargeable ZABs, exceeding the mixed electrocatalyst of expensive Pt/C-RuO2, in terms of the elevated peak power density of 239 mW/cm2, the promoted specific capacity of 770 mAh/gZn, as well as the appreciable charge–discharge cycle stability. Theoretical calculations revealed that the strong interaction between the delicate CoSA site and CoNP phase, could effectively optimize the adsorption and desorption energy barriers of reaction intermediates on the designed catalyst surface, thus achieving synergistic enhancement of electrocatalytic activity towards ORR and OER. This finding affords a feasible and effective strategy to achieve highly active and durable bifunctional catalysts for both fundamental research and practical rechargeable ZABs applications.

  • Matrix Factorization for Evolution Data
  • 2014
  • Ingår i: Mathematical problems in engineering (Print). - : Hindawi Limited. - 1024-123X .- 1563-5147. ; , s. 525398-
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • We study a matrix factorization problem, that is, to find two factor matrices U and V such that R approximate to U-T x V, where R is a matrix composed of the values of the objects O-1, O-2, ... , O-n at consecutive time points T-1, T-2, ... , T-t. We first present MAFED, a constrained optimization model for this problem, which straightforwardly performs factorization on R. Then based on the interplay of the data in U,V, and R, a probabilistic graphical model using the same optimization objects is constructed, in which structural dependencies of the data in these matrices are revealed. Finally, we present a fitting algorithm to solve the proposed MAFED model, which produces the desired factorization. Empirical studies on real-world datasets demonstrate that our approach outperforms the state-of-the-art comparison algorithms.

  • Multi-Matrices Factorization with Application to Missing Sensor Data Imputation
  • 2013
  • Ingår i: Sensors. - : MDPI AG. - 1424-8220. ; 13:11, s. 15172-15186
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • We formulate a multi-matrices factorization model (MMF) for the missing sensor data estimation problem. The estimation problem is adequately transformed into a matrix completion one. With MMF, an n-by-t real matrix, R, is adopted to represent the data collected by mobile sensors from n areas at the time, T-1, T-2, . . . , T-t, where the entry, R-i,R-j, is the aggregate value of the data collected in the ith area at T-j. We propose to approximate R by seeking a family of d-by-n probabilistic spatial feature matrices, U-(1), U-(2), . . . , U-(t), and a probabilistic temporal feature matrix, V epsilon R-dxt, where R-j approximate to U-(j)(T) T-j. We also present a solution algorithm to the proposed model. We evaluate MMF with synthetic data and a real-world sensor dataset extensively. Experimental results demonstrate that our approach outperforms the state-of-the-art comparison algorithms.

  • Analysis of proton/fluoride spin-lattice NMR dispersion experiment of an ionic liquid, BMIM[PF6] by using molecular dynamics simulations and relaxation theory
  • 2015
  • Annan publikation (övrigt vetenskapligt/konstnärligt)abstract
    • Proton/Fluoride spin-lattice nuclear magnetic relaxation dispersion(NMRD) measurements of 1-Butyl-3-methylimidazolium-hexa fluorophosphate (BMIM[PF6])have been carried out using a 1T Stelar FFC2000 fast-field-cycling instrument at proton Larmor frequencies ranging from 10 kHz to 40 MHz and at different temperatures. The NMRD profiles are interpreted by means of a simple relaxation modelbased on the inter- and intra-molecular dipole dipole relaxation mechanims. Using an atomic and a coarse-grained (CG)Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulations at temperature 323 K the relevant dipole-dipole correlation functions are calculated. The result indicate that the NMRD profiles can be rationalized using a combination of intra and inter molecular dipole-dipole couplings. However, both are mainly modulated by molecular reorientation whereas translation diffusion plays a minor role. The molecular reorientation dynamics  of BMIM[PF6] ,BMIM+ ion are in the nano secondtime regime whereas the reorientation of  [PF6]- is much faster and loses its correlation in the ps regime. The relaxation mechanism for  [PF6]- is H-F inter-molecular dipole-dipole coupling which is modulated by the reorientation of  the H-containing molecule.

  • Role of collective influence in promoting cooperation
  • 2008
  • Ingår i: Europhysics letters. - Les Ulis : European Physical Society. - 0295-5075 .- 1286-4854. ; 84:5, s. 50008-
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The collective influence on the individuals' behavior have attracted much attention, and interesting phenomena such as social facilitation and social loafing have been studied. In this paper, we consider how the collective influence affects the evolution of cooperation in a structured population of individuals who nourish and benefit from public goods in groups. Individuals are supposed to distribute endowments to different groups to nourish the corresponding public goods. The collective influence is indicated by a tunable parameter α, with larger α corresponding to the players' higher preference to contribute more to the larger groups, which is similar to the social-facilitation effect in the real world, whereas, with smaller α corresponding to individuals' contrary preference, i.e., the social-loafing effect. Interestingly, we find that the heterogeneity of public-goods setting favors cooperation. Furthermore, the system where social loafing occurs performs better than that with social facilitation, in the case of heterogeneous formation.
