  • Effective Field Theory and Inelastic Dark Matter Results from XENON1T
  • Annan publikation (övrigt vetenskapligt/konstnärligt)abstract
    • In this work we expand on the XENON1T nuclear recoil searches and study the individual signals of Dark Matter interactions from operators up to dimension-eight in a Chiral Effective Field Theory (ChEFT) as well as a model of inelastic Dark Matter using data from the two science runs of the detector totalling 1 tonne*year exposure. For these analyses we extended the region of interest from [4.9, 40.9]keVnr to [4.9, 54.4]keVnr to enhance our sensitivity for signals that peak at nonzero energies. We show that the data is consistent with a background only hypothesis, with small excesses in the models which peak between 20 and 50keVnr, obtaining a maximum local discovery significance of 1.7 for the VVs ChEFT model for a WIMP mass of 70GeV/c2, and 1.8 for an iDM particle of 50GeV/c2 with a mass splitting of 100keV/c2. For each model we report 90% confidence level upper limits. We also report limits on three benchmark models of WIMP interaction using ChEFT for which we investigate the effect of isospin breaking interactions, reporting up to 6 orders of magnitude weaker limits with respect to the isospin conserving case driven by cancellations in the expected rate.

  • XPS and XAS study of oxygen coadsorbed with a dispersed phase of K on graphite
  • 2001
  • Ingår i: SURFACE SCIENCE. - : ELSEVIER SCIENCE BV. ; 488:1-2
  • Annan publikation (övrigt vetenskapligt/konstnärligt)abstract
    • The adsorption of O-2 onto a dispersed (low coverage) phase of K on graphite has been characterized by X-ray photoemission and X-ray absorption spectroscopy. We identify two oxygen adsorption phases before physisorbed oxygen appears. The first species dom

  • High-parametric protein maps reveal the spatial organization in early-developing human lung
  • Annan publikation (övrigt vetenskapligt/konstnärligt)abstract
    • The respiratory system, encompassing the lungs, trachea, and vasculature, is essential for terrestrial life. Although recent research has illuminated aspects of lung development, such as cell lineage origins and their molecular drivers, much of our knowledge is still based on animal models, or is deduced from transcriptome analyses. In this study, conducted within the Human Developmental Cell Atlas (HDCA) initiative, we describe the spatiotemporal organization of lung during the first trimester of human gestation in situ and at protein level. We used high-parametric tissue imaging on human lung samples, aged 6 to 13 post-conception weeks, using a 30-plex antibody panel. Our approach yielded over 2 million individual lung cells across five developmental timepoints, with an in-depth analysis of nearly 1 million cells. We present a spatially resolved cell type composition of the developing human lung, with a particular emphasis on their proliferative states, spatial arrangement traits, and their temporal evolution throughout lung development. We also offer new insights into the emerging patterns of immune cells during lung development. To the best of our knowledge, this study is the most extensive protein-level examination of the developing human lung. The generated dataset is a valuable resource for further research into the developmental roots of human respiratory health and disease.

  • Inventory Behavior and Financial Constraints: Theory and Evidence
  • 2014
  • Annan publikation (övrigt vetenskapligt/konstnärligt)abstract
    • Financially constrained firms hold more inventory than do financially unconstrained firms and also show more volatility in inventory holdings. To understand why, we model the interaction of financial constraints, capacity constraints, and the response of production and inventory to cost shocks. We develop several implications as to how financial constraints affect the inventory response to cost shocks of constrained firms relative to unconstrained firms, which cannot be derived from any of a host of other ways in which two groups of firms are differentiated in our model. We find consistent results when we take these implications to the real data.
