- Recently introduced IRT for clinical use allow dose reduction for adult and pediatric CT while maintaining or even enhancing image quality compared to filtered back projection based reconstruction. Specific adjustments of scanning protocols and fine-tuning of iterative settings are necessary to ensure optimum usage with understanding of its potential and disadvantages.
