  • The Seventh Visual Object Tracking VOT2019 Challenge Results
  • 2019
  • Ingår i: 2019 IEEE/CVF INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON COMPUTER VISION WORKSHOPS (ICCVW). - : IEEE COMPUTER SOC. - 9781728150239 ; , s. 2206-2241
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The Visual Object Tracking challenge VOT2019 is the seventh annual tracker benchmarking activity organized by the VOT initiative. Results of 81 trackers are presented; many are state-of-the-art trackers published at major computer vision conferences or in journals in the recent years. The evaluation included the standard VOT and other popular methodologies for short-term tracking analysis as well as the standard VOT methodology for long-term tracking analysis. The VOT2019 challenge was composed of five challenges focusing on different tracking domains: (i) VOT-ST2019 challenge focused on short-term tracking in RGB, (ii) VOT-RT2019 challenge focused on "real-time" short-term tracking in RGB, (iii) VOT-LT2019 focused on long-term tracking namely coping with target disappearance and reappearance. Two new challenges have been introduced: (iv) VOT-RGBT2019 challenge focused on short-term tracking in RGB and thermal imagery and (v) VOT-RGBD2019 challenge focused on long-term tracking in RGB and depth imagery. The VOT-ST2019, VOT-RT2019 and VOT-LT2019 datasets were refreshed while new datasets were introduced for VOT-RGBT2019 and VOT-RGBD2019. The VOT toolkit has been updated to support both standard short-term, long-term tracking and tracking with multi-channel imagery. Performance of the tested trackers typically by far exceeds standard baselines. The source code for most of the trackers is publicly available from the VOT page. The dataset, the evaluation kit and the results are publicly available at the challenge website(1).

  • The Sixth Visual Object Tracking VOT2018 Challenge Results
  • 2019
  • Ingår i: Computer Vision – ECCV 2018 Workshops. - Cham : Springer Publishing Company. - 9783030110086 - 9783030110093 ; , s. 3-53
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The Visual Object Tracking challenge VOT2018 is the sixth annual tracker benchmarking activity organized by the VOT initiative. Results of over eighty trackers are presented; many are state-of-the-art trackers published at major computer vision conferences or in journals in the recent years. The evaluation included the standard VOT and other popular methodologies for short-term tracking analysis and a “real-time” experiment simulating a situation where a tracker processes images as if provided by a continuously running sensor. A long-term tracking subchallenge has been introduced to the set of standard VOT sub-challenges. The new subchallenge focuses on long-term tracking properties, namely coping with target disappearance and reappearance. A new dataset has been compiled and a performance evaluation methodology that focuses on long-term tracking capabilities has been adopted. The VOT toolkit has been updated to support both standard short-term and the new long-term tracking subchallenges. Performance of the tested trackers typically by far exceeds standard baselines. The source code for most of the trackers is publicly available from the VOT page. The dataset, the evaluation kit and the results are publicly available at the challenge website (http://votchallenge.net).

  • 2016
  • Ingår i: COMPUTER VISION - ECCV 2016 WORKSHOPS, PT II. - Cham : SPRINGER INT PUBLISHING AG. - 9783319488813 - 9783319488806 ; , s. 777-823
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The Visual Object Tracking challenge VOT2016 aims at comparing short-term single-object visual trackers that do not apply pre-learned models of object appearance. Results of 70 trackers are presented, with a large number of trackers being published at major computer vision conferences and journals in the recent years. The number of tested state-of-the-art trackers makes the VOT 2016 the largest and most challenging benchmark on short-term tracking to date. For each participating tracker, a short description is provided in the Appendix. The VOT2016 goes beyond its predecessors by (i) introducing a new semi-automatic ground truth bounding box annotation methodology and (ii) extending the evaluation system with the no-reset experiment.

  • MBSE Applicability Analysis in Chinese Industry
  • 2018
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Model-based systems engineering (MBSE) is an emerging technique widely used in current industry. It is a leading way expected to become a next-generation standard practice in the systems engineering. Fundamental tenets of systems engineering can be supported by a model-based approach to minimize design risks and avoid design changes in late development stages. The models can be used to formalize, analyze, design, optimize, verify and validate target products which help developers to integrate engineering development, organization and product across domains. Though model-based development is well established in specific domains, such as software, mechanical system, electric systems, its role in integrated development from system aspect is still a big challenge for current Chinese industry. In this paper, a survey from volunteers who related with MBSE is taken by questionnaires. The purpose of this survey is to highlight the usage and status of MBSE in current Chinese industry and address roughly the understandings of MBSE concepts among system developers in China based on the answers about usages, advantages, barriers, concerns, trends of MBSE, particularly the perspective of tool-chain development.

  • Application of Crowdfunding on the Financing of EV's Charging Piles
  • 2016
  • Ingår i: CLEAN ENERGY FOR CLEAN CITY. - : Elsevier BV. ; , s. 336-341
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The market penetration of electric vehicle is subject to the capacity of charging facility greatly, however the development of charging facility is influenced by the economic incentives. In this study, the crowdfunding method is applied for financing the construction of electric vehicle (EV) charging piles, and its advantages was focused and proved. A three-stage sequential game model was developed considering power grid, infrastructure operators and crowdfunders to analyze the performance of crowdfunding in charging pile construction. The result shows that crowdfunding can increase charging piles construction amount by 70% and crowdfunding's promoting effect equals the effect of supplying 40% subsidy for construction fee. Thus crowdfunding is a simple but efficient way to boost the penetration of charging piles.

  • A Multi-objective Design Optimization of a Centrifugal Cooling Fan on a TEFC Motor
  • 2017
  • Ingår i: Mechanism And Machine Science. - Singapore : Springer. - 9789811028755 - 9789811028748 ; , s. 1355-1364
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • A design optimization method of a centrifugal fan on a totally-enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) motor was studied in this paper. A multi-objective optimization problem was formulated which is to decrease noise level of fan and to increase air flow rate at the same time. Two design variables, namely fan diameter (D) and blade height (H), were investigated. Responses surface models were established based on design of experiments to identify the mathematical relationships between fan performances and the design parameters. These models were later used in optimization. As a result, a Pareto front was obtained which illustrated the optimal trade-offs that can be achieved in design. The Pareto front was then experimentally verified on an in-house test rig by using acoustic holography techniques.

  • A Study On Multi-Target Tracking And Phd Filter
  • 2012
  • Ingår i: 2011 3rd International Conference On Computer Technology And Development (ICCTD 2011), Vol 2. - New York : American Society of Mechanical Engineers. - 9780791859919 ; , s. 781-786
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The probability hypothesis density (PHD) filter as an efficient, practical and robust approach to solve the multi-target tracking problem has been successfully implemented. In this paper, a study on multi-target tracking problem and the PHD filter with "lateral and vertical thinking" is proposed. Firstly we list several difficulties (data association, time-varying number, and inaccessible control signal) for multi-target tracking; and then come up with the particle PHD filter as an alternative, while summarizing the algorithm with clarity and perception; finally simulation and analysis further prove the strengthens of PHD filter.

  • 2011
  • Ingår i: URAI 2011. - 9781457707223 ; , s. 26-31
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • In human-robot interaction areas, the robot is often expected to recognize the identity of the speaker in some specific scenarios. It is a kind of biometric modality, and in general using statistical model is a classical and powerful method dealing with speaker identification problem. In this paper, we apply the Gaussian mixture model (GMM) on the speech feature distribution modeling and build the speaker identification system under MATLAB platform. Experiments are conducted on practical speech database and we also further give some insights into feature extraction, different length input utterances analysis and the impostor situation.
