    • The Visual Object Tracking challenge 2015, VOT2015, aims at comparing short-term single-object visual trackers that do not apply pre-learned models of object appearance. Results of 62 trackers are presented. The number of tested trackers makes VOT 2015 the largest benchmark on short-term tracking to date. For each participating tracker, a short description is provided in the appendix. Features of the VOT2015 challenge that go beyond its VOT2014 predecessor are: (i) a new VOT2015 dataset twice as large as in VOT2014 with full annotation of targets by rotated bounding boxes and per-frame attribute, (ii) extensions of the VOT2014 evaluation methodology by introduction of a new performance measure. The dataset, the evaluation kit as well as the results are publicly available at the challenge website(1).

  • Optimization of Curing Behavior of Si3N4 UV Resin for Photopolymerization 3D Printing

    • Silicon nitride (Si3N4) ceramics are widely used in mechanical and thermal management applications due to their excellent properties. To overcome the difficulties in traditional Si3N4 ceramic forming techniques, it is interesting to see the possibility of making complex-shaped silicon nitride ceramic component with novel 3D printing methods. In this study, we aim to study the effect of photo-initiators on the curing behavior of pre-formulated Si3N4 ceramic UV resin suspension. To elucidate the potential multi-factor interactions, a statistic experiment design was implemented in a sequence of screening and optimization by using Modde software. It was found that the kinds of photo-initiators, total amount of initiators and the mixture ratio between initiators have a great influence on the curing properties of silicon nitride UV ceramic resin. Based on these results, a formula was selected based on the criterion of using least amount photo-initiator while reaching the highest curing thickness.

  • Mechanical Properties of ZrO2 Honeycomb Sandwich Structures by 3D Printing

    • Honeycomb sandwich structures were widely used in lightweight design. However, the difficulties with the fabrication process actually highly limit their practical usage, especially for ceramic materials. In this paper, 3 mol% yttria-stabilized ZrO2 (3Y-TZP) honeycomb sandwich structures with square and hexagonal cell were prepared successfully by using digital light processing (DLP) printing method. With a base material density of >6.02g/cm3, square/hexagonal honeycomb sandwich structures with structural density of 42.89%-66.24% were achieved by modifying unit cell wall thickness. It can be concluded that square honeycomb cell is preferred for getting higher bending strength at the same structural density.

    • In this paper, we propose an analysis method of fault propagation based on the FPGA netlist with un-reconvergence path. First of all, we analyze the characteristics of common components in the netlist, calculate the fault propagation probability of these components, and then establish a netlist-level fault propagation model based on the interconnection topological structure of the components in the netlist. When a fault happens at input ports of the netlist, we analyze the fault propagation characteristics in the whole netlist, calculate the probability of the fault propagating from input to output ports, and find out the input port which is most likely to cause the fault. Finally, we verify the model presented in this paper by experiments. The experimental results show that the estimated error of fault propagation probability is negligible. It is less than 0.1% compared to the corresponding testing results.

    • Recently, there is increasing interest in detecting electricity thieves for economic benefits for power companies, and many works aim to improve the accuracy of electricity theft detection. Nevertheless, a core obstacle that currently hinders the direct comparison of classifiers for electricity theft detection is the lack of a standard and public dataset, since fraudulent power load profiles are usually difficult to collect for various reasons, including cost, cumber, and confidentiality. Therefore, this paper presents an open-source toolbox, which generates different kinds of fraudulent power load profiles from attack models, and integrates classical classifiers (e.g., support vector machine, multi-layer perceptron, convolutional neural network, long short-term memory, bidirectional long short-term memory) with different performance as baselines for the comparison with new algorithms. Users can easily generate datasets and modify parameters of classical classifiers guided by user friendly interactive interfaces. The codes, toolbox, and user manuals are available online and it is free to use and extend them.

  • Analysis of connection availability in optical networks with multi-failure assumption

    • Optical networks carry an increasing amount of traffic due to the rapid growth of IP and multimedia services. Therefore the impact of network failures on this traffic and thus user services is growing fast. In addition some network services are heavily dependent upon the availability of communication resources. Consequently, network operators have to deal with the steadily growing availability requirement. Thus, survivability mechanisms need to be provided in the networks to meet the connection availability requirement. There are several protection schemes that can be applied to improve connection availability in the network. Shared Path Protection (SPP) scheme is selected in this paper due to its efficiency in resource utilization .In many works the SPP scheme has been studied to solve a single failure problem. However, in large networks the occurrence of multiple concurrent failures cannot be neglected [1]-[3]. In this respect we studied the SPP scheme for mesh optical transport networks with multiple failure scenario and developed connection availability model with multiple failure assumption instead of traditional single failure assumption. In this paper we present the analytical model for connection availability in SPP mesh network with multiple failure assumption. Our model is more general than the traditional model adopted for single failure assumption and also is more general than the work for two protection paths. We also developed a simulator to evaluate our analytical model. The results show that the connection unavailability obtained by simulations is very close to the theoretical value, which approve that our algorithm is accurate.

  • Mechanical Properties of ZrO2 TPMS Structures Prepared by DLP 3D Printing

    • Compressive strength is one of the most important mechanical properties for cellular ceramics. But the dependence of compressive strength of highly porous cellular ceramic structures on porosity remains unclear due to the limit of available methods for making such strong structures based on specific structural designs. In this paper, the TPMS structures, namely P-cell, and neovius structure, were prepared based on the DLP 3D printing technology. Samples with various unit cells were fabricated with zirconia. The relative density of the sintered samples exceeds 99%. The effects of cell number on the compressive strength and deformation of the model were investigated. Samples with similar relative densities exhibited comparable mechanical property in aspect of compressive strength. It is very interesting that the cell number eventually only influence the total strain.

  • ZTA Ceramic Materials for DLP 3D Printing

    • As a new additive manufacturing method, DLP has the advantages of high precision, fast speed and low cost. ZTA ceramic is anticipated to be used in more applications due to its superior bending strength, fracture toughness and thermal conductivity. But the detailed study with ZTA printing material for DLP is still rarely reported. In this experiment, ZTA ceramic UV resin with various ZrO2 concentration (5-15wt.%) were investigated and tested for their 3D printing performance. ZTA ceramic UV resin with low viscosity (<3Pa•s at shear rate of 10s-1) and high solid load (55vol.%) were successfully developed. After sintering at a temperature of 1600°C, a relative density of >96% can be always promised. For the optimized doping level of ZrO2 at 11wt%, a density of 99% can be achieved.

  • Dynamic Regression Test Selection Based on a File Cache : An Industrial Evaluation

    • This paper presents a simple method that computes test case coverage information from information on what files were updated to fix a fault found by the test case. It uses a cache to monitor fault-prone files and recommends test cases to rerun to cover updated files. We present an evaluation of the method during two months of development of a large, industrial, embedded, real-time software system. Our results show that the method is effective, reaching weekly cache hit rates in the range 50-80%.
