  • NTIRE 2022 Burst Super-Resolution Challenge
  • 2022
  • Ingår i: 2022 IEEE/CVF CONFERENCE ON COMPUTER VISION AND PATTERN RECOGNITION WORKSHOPS (CVPRW 2022). - : IEEE. - 9781665487399 - 9781665487405 ; , s. 1040-1060
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Burst super-resolution has received increased attention in recent years due to its applications in mobile photography. By merging information from multiple shifted images of a scene, burst super-resolution aims to recover details which otherwise cannot be obtained using a simple input image. This paper reviews the NTIRE 2022 challenge on burst super-resolution. In the challenge, the participants were tasked with generating a clean RGB image with 4x higher resolution, given a RAW noisy burst as input. That is, the methods need to perform joint denoising, demosaicking, and super-resolution. The challenge consisted of 2 tracks. Track 1 employed synthetic data, where pixel-accurate high-resolution ground truths are available. Track 2 on the other hand used real-world bursts captured from a handheld camera, along with approximately aligned reference images captured using a DSLR. 14 teams participated in the final testing phase. The top performing methods establish a new state-of-the-art on the burst super-resolution task.

  • Multiobjective Image Compression based on Tensor Decomposition
  • 2023
  • Ingår i: 2023 8th International Conference on Cloud Computing and Big Data Analytics, ICCCBDA. - : IEEE. - 9781665455336 - 9781665455343 ; , s. 545-550
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Most of the traditional image compression methods vectorize the data contained in the image and then compress it. However, this approach does not take into account the high-dimensional information inside the image. To solve this problem, this paper regards the color image as a third-order tensor, and proposes a method of color image compression based on Tucker decomposition and multiobjective optimization. The tensor size compression ratio and Hu invariant moment similarity are proposed to measure the image compression quality. And to more comprehensively consider the sensitivity of human visual system to different visual signals, the five-objective optimization model of image compression is constructed. The five-objective optimization model includes: the above two indexes, information content weighted structure similarity index, color image feature similarity and information fidelity criterion. In addition, an angle-aware opposition-based learning strategy is proposed to improve the reference vector guided selection strategy of RVEA*. In the experiments, this method could effectively solve the problem of color image compression.

  • Social attribute based web service information publication mechanism in delay tolerant network
  • 2011
  • Ingår i: Proc. - IEEE Int. Conf. Comput. Sci. Eng., CSE Int. Symp. Pervasive Syst., Algorithms, Networks, I-SPAN IEEE Int. Conf. IUCC. - 9780769544779 ; , s. 435-442
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The intermittence of the connection between nodes and limited resources greatly impair the effectiveness of service information publication in Delay Tolerant Network (DTN). To overcome this problem, a multi-layer service information cooperative publication mechanism is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the social interaction network and service overlay network is established in the form of abstract weight graph. Then, the community division algorithm is used to analysis the social characteristics of service interaction and the social attribute based DTN model-S-DTN is constructed. Finally, the carrier nodes of the information publication is selected from neighbor set by computing utilization function based node context, and a multi-layer cooperative mechanism is proposed to achieve effective service information publication in DTN. The experiment results indicate that the proposed publication mechanism brings nearly the same success ratio as Epidemic Routing with lower delay and network loads. Additionally, it shows better performance in overall metrics than Prophet Routing.

  • W-band high-gain low profile circularly polarized magneto-electric dipole antenna array with gap waveguide feeding technology
  • 2018
  • Ingår i: IET Conference Publications. ; 2018:CP741
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • In this paper, a high gain circularly polarized (CP) aperture-coupled magneto-electric (ME) dipole antenna array excited by the air cavity in gap waveguide (GWG) feeding technology in W-band is proposed. This antenna array is composed of two layers, upper CP ME-dipole antenna subarrays and lower metallic GWG feeding networks. The planar antenna array structure is realized by the high mode air cavity feeding network, which is realized by extending the 1×2 cavity to 3×2 cavity using more shorted pins to split the electromagnetic field. The whole single-layer GWG feeding network is composed of a ridge gap waveguide (RGWG) transmission structure and short-ended vertical polarized groove gap waveguide (VP-GGWG) high mode air cavities. The transmission loss caused by the coupling and the fabrication tolerance can be reduced by combining the RGWG and GGWG in the same layer. In addition, the feeding network is fabricated all in metal with no substrate loss. Transverse slots are etched at the right position of the printed circuit board (PCB) backside to excite the CP ME-dipoles. The antenna element has stable radiation patterns and wide axial-ratio (AR) bandwidth. The proposed 3×8 planner antenna array has a maximum boresight gain of 22 dBi and an AR bandwidth of 10.8% for AR < 3 dB. In the frequency band from 87.7 to 97.7 GHz, a boresight gain above 20 dBi is achieved.

  • Cooperative diversity transmission versus macrodiversity in cellular networks
  • 2005
  • Ingår i: Proc. of the Conference on Information Sciences and Systems (CISS).
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • This paper studies the potential performance im- provement from cooperative diversity transmission in a cellular network. We consider a simpli ed coopera- tive relaying system which allows the mobile terminals to relay data packets from their partners. We obtain numerical results for the outage probability, taking into account log-distance path loss, spatially corre- lated shadowing and small-scale fading. A compari- son with conventional macrodiversity is performed for various scenarios of interest. The simulation results demonstrate the superiority of cooperative diversity transmission.

  • Design of Novel Flat Bend Crossed Dipole for Wideband Phased Array Feed Applications
  • 2019
  • Ingår i: 2019 International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation, ISAP 2019 - Proceedings.
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • This paper presents a novel Phased Array Feed (PAF) element based on flat bend crossed dipole fed by 50-Ohm coaxial line. The PAF element is dual-polarized and made from all-metal to minimize Ohmic losses and simplify cryogenic integration. It is optimized for 4- 8 GHz band aiming to possible later integration in the SKA pathfinder PHAROS2. The proposed design can also be a good element candidate of PAF for the Five hundred meter Aperture Spherical Telescope (FAST) and Qi Tai Telescope (QTT) as well as other large radio telescopes.
