- It’s 2024, and we have good cause to celebrate 20 years of EFPTA activity. We have grown and thrived as an organisation, and can list a number of achievements, including numerous successful eventsfor psychology teachers /educators both in-person and online, collaboration with other organisations involved in psychology /psychology education in Europe, research publications, and presentations at international conferences. We effectively adapted our activities during the pandemic, and we continue to attract new member countries and individuals. Presumably we – and others - see ourselves as doing something important; if so, what is that? Or do we just love to get together socially with like-minded folk? Bearing in mind the enormous changes in the environment over the last 20 years – from local/national education issues to global crises – what should be EFPTA’s purpose in the coming years? what challenges do we face? where should we focus our efforts? This participative discussion-based workshop will consider these and other related questions, with reference to our formal aims as well as participants’ experiences. It is hoped that these discussions will help inform EFPTA’s priorities in terms of future strategy.

- Kunskapsområdet sexualitet och relationer skapar engagemang, både i skolan och i samhället. Det är också ett område som ständigt är aktuellt – inte minst då både skola och lärarutbildningar har fått stärkta mål. Denna bok syftar till att stödja lärarna i detta uppdrag.Boken beskriver sexualitet och relationer i ett samhälleligt sammanhang och kunskapsområdets historiska utveckling fram till nutid. Dessutom diskuteras både skolövergripande och mer undervisningsnära aspekter samt hur sexualitet och relationer ingår i skolans värdegrunds- och kunskapsuppdrag. Med utgångspunkt i didaktiska frågor om vad, hur och varför undersöks hur kunskapsområdet kan behandlas i den praktiska undervisningen och hur utmaningar kan bemötas. Vidare betonas hur samarbete mellan lärare, elever, elevhälsa och skolledning kan bidra till ett produktivt utforskande av kunskapsområdet.Boken riktar sig främst till lärarstudenter men också till verksamma lärare och skolledare inom samtliga årskurser men med tyngdpunkt på grundskolans senare år

- I’ve wanted to talk to Walter Benjamin ever since encountering his Arcades Project. But – as much as that desire may be attune with Benjamin’s own commitment to bringing the past forth to the present – I can’t. I therefore turn to Arcades translator, and Benjamin scholar, Howard Eiland... and, it was inevitable that I had to return to the Arcades, not just because Benjamin meticulously objectified the glass and iron arcades as method and catalyst of research, but because, to me, ‘greenhouse’ does precede, and succeed, the arcades themselves as display and index of what was, and is to become of ‘natural history.’ For 'Legacy' I share excerpts of an interview (soon to be published entirely) that started at the Harvard Co-op in 2016; a conversation that continues to this day, by way of intermittent emails and other correspondence.
