- Compound-specific radiocarbon analysis has played important role in the methodology applied in radiocarbon dating since the development of modern analytical instru-mentation. Thank to this evolution it is nowadays possible to radiocarbon date samples which would be normally considered as undatable due to their heterogenous nature or secondary contamination. The aim of this review is to introduce molecular-specific radiocarbon dating approach and show some particular applications already successful-ly tested and used in radiocarbon dating.

- Introduction: Antibodies against N-methyl D-aspartate receptor (anti-NMDAR) are directly pathogenic autoantibodies associated with encephalitis. Cases reporting the presence of anti-NMDAR antibodies associated with a demyelinating disease have been published, some without symptoms of NMDAR encephalitis. The aim of our study was to describe characteristics of a demyelinating disease in patients with anti-NMDAR antibodies. Material and methods: Anti-NMDAR antibodies were investigated in the serum and cerebrospinal fluid of patients with clinically suspected autoimmune encephalitis by indirect immunofluorescence using cell-based assay on fixed cells transfected for the antigen. The clinical course and MRI findings consistent with a demyelinating disease were assessed in accordance with the current diagnostic criteria. Results: Eleven patients with autoimmune encephalitis and positive anti-NMDAR were identified between 2012 to 2015. Ten of them met criteria of NMDAR encephalitis, one patient had an acute onset (de novo status epilepticus) with MRI and CSF findings corresponding with acute disseminated encephalomyelitis and regression following corticosteroid treatment. Subsequently, due to MRI dynamics, this patient met the criteria of multiple sclerosis. One patient with NMDAR encephalitis developed an optic neuritis 20 months later and MRI showed demyelinating changes with dissemination in time and space. Following corticosteroid and azathioprine treatment, the patient is clinically stable but with persisting MRI disease activity. In both patients, demyelinating lesions were also identified in the spinal cord. Conclusion: In patients with an atypical manifestation of a demyelinating disease (prominent psychiatric or cognitive symptoms, seizures or extrapyramidal signs) anti-NMDAR testing should be performed and an appropriate immunotherapy should be started in positive cases. In some patients, NMDAR encephalitis may result in an onset of a demyelinating disease.

- This empirical study shows that Swedish upper secondary students and teachers perceive the control of procedures for knowledge checks and grading so inadequate that the distribution of final assesment risks being unfair. In a market-orientated competitive school system, managed by objectives and results, grades tend to be regarded as the best measure of educatioal quality. Student grades thus become important for individual students, teachers and schools. Particularly important as educational hard currency is the lowest acceptable grade level, that distinguishes failures from result-achievement. Data from discussions on norms indicate that students and teachers (all of whom discussed the matters seperately) show a clear justice-based tolerance for school-cheating perceived as re-securing a fair distribution of grades. The teachers are particularly tolerant to cheating students who would risk failing grades had they not cheated. Explicit prohibitions of cheating are thereby outcompeted by negotiated social norms of justice that implicitly encourages some forms of cheating. The well-known double agenda is kept as a hidden truth and thereby reproduced.

- Vad känner man till om de förändringar som sker i en kroniskt smärtande sena? Hur ser sencellerna ut och hur påverkas nerverna vid tendinos? I denna sammanställning kommer de förändringar man ser i Akilles- och patellarsena vid tendinos att belysas. Fokus riktas inte minst på nya fynd avseende utseenden för sencellerna (tenocyterna). Vidare ges en kortfattad beskrivning av vad man idag känner till avseende nervrelaterade aspekter för dessa senor hos människa. Det är sannolikt att kunskap om dessa är viktig för att man rätt ska förstå de smärtsymptom som föreligger vid tendinos och även de effekter som nyare tids behandlingar har vid dessa kroniska smärttillstånd.
