  • Kvalitetssäkringars översättning - recentralisering av kontroll
  • 1999
  • Ingår i: Når Styringsambitioner møder praksis. ; , s. 57-76

  • Metacognition and Learning Journals in Higher Education
  • 2013
  • Ingår i: International Journal of Economics and Management Engineering. - 2226-7344. ; 3:4, s. 152-159
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The studies in higher education have its natural focus on the subject matters of study. This also holds for the master program Technology Management (TM). In addition it is important to complement the students’ academic knowledge with insights about metacognition, i.e. knowledge and understanding of themselves and their own behaviour. The introduction of so-called Learning Journals has proved to be a successful step in this direction. TM is a unique program at Lund University, where a selected number (40) of students from the Faculty of Economics (20) and from the Faculty of Engineering (20) are taught together during their last 2 years of study. Their different views on problems and challenges in today’s industry often complement each other. By the introduction of learning journals, they also learn about themselves, what influence their motivation, behaviour and attitude have on a group, and an understanding of their own preferred learning method. The learning journals are introduced in the course Project Leadership. In this course, the students are divided in groups of 4-5 students, each one managing one project. Throughout the whole course (2 semesters) the students are writing learning journals and supervisors are commenting monthly. The learning journals have four purposes; 1) providing an opportunity to reflect on the development of the project itself 2) enabling personal reflection on the own process, 2) enabling reflection on the own position and part in the group, and 4) through the longitudinal effect of the course; it provides an opportunity to compare journals over time to become aware of and able to analyse the own learning process. In a newly performed Placement report, students that have graduated from the Technology Management programme the last 10 years, rate their education 4.37 out of 5. Some students even consider the Learning Journals among the most valuable parts of the whole programme in retrospect.

  • Variations in professions’ adaption of quality reforms : the cases of doctors and auditors in Sweden
  • 2012
  • Ingår i: Current Sociology. - London : Sage Publications. - 0011-3921 .- 1461-7064. ; 60:5, s. 672-689
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • This article investigates variations in two professions’ adaption of quality reforms. The adaption of reforms is viewed as a part of the professions’ legitimacy and identity processes. Literature in the area suggests that the adaption of reforms is influenced by the profession’s knowledge base, professional norms, organizational belonging and organizational field. The two cases here on how doctors and auditors adapt to quality reforms show that the influences of these factors are, however, moulded by the professions’ strategies and the salience of the different aforementioned factors. A general conclusion is that compatibility between the bases of knowledge and the professional norms are vital for the adaption of reforms and that organizational fields are important for setting the agenda. Organizational belongings, on the other hand, seem of less importance for adaption of quality reforms

  • Can journey mapping be used to visualize information sharing in home care?
  • 2022. - 2. ed
  • Ingår i: Conference Proceedings of the 51st NES Conference 23-25 October 2022 Uppsala Sweden. - 9789150629750 ; , s. 179-179
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • This study investigates the use of journey mapping as a tool for visualizing theflow of information in home care. Journey mapping is a design method with the purpose of visualizing the interaction of a user and a product or service. It tries to encompass the whole user experience including actions and touch points between user and product, feelings and other related information. Hence, the visualized journey in a journey map is originally from one persons’ perspective. Here we will instead emanate from the perspective of the information, and draw the journey map based on different pieces of information, using a set of concrete scenarios from home care. The aim is to get a better understanding of how information flows in the home care setting, and the journey map will be a useful tool in the process of developing home care further. This can for example be in the process of designing digital support systems, for designing the information itself, or for developing work routines around the information.

  • Kvalitetsidéens materialisering i hälso- och sjukvården
  • 2002
  • Ingår i: Kvalitet utan gränser - En kritisk belysning av kvalitetsstyrning. - Lund : Academia adacta. ; , s. 59-80, s. 59-80
