- The paper discusses normative systems and their revision within an algebraic framework. If a system is logically well-formed, certain norms, called connecting norms, determine the system as a whole. It is maintained that, if the system is well-formed, a relation at least as low as determines a lattice or quasi-lattice of its connecting norms. The ideas are presented mainly in the form of comments on a legal example concerning acquisition of movable property by extinction of another person's previous rights.

- Allemansrätten tryggar allmänhetens tillgång till naturen. Det är därför angeläget för oss alla att slå vakt om denna urgamla sedvana, inte minst genom att tillämpa den med omtanke. Men osäkerheten om vad allemansrätten innebär är ofta stor. Svensk lagstiftning nämner endast mycket övergripande allas tillgång till och ansvar för naturen. Naturvårdsverket ser det därför som en viktig uppgift att informera om allemansrättens innebörd - rättigheter såväl som skyldigheter. Den här översikten är författad av professorn, f d justitierådet Bertil Bengtsson. Boken bör kunnavara till hjälp för alla myndigheter, företag, organisationer och enskilda personer som på olika sätt kommer i kontakt med naturturism och friluftsliv.

- During the 1990s the Swedish Government put forward the country's first two bills concerning ICT. The main aim is that "Sweden will be the first country to become an information society for all". This paper analyses the Government's policy style, ie the government's approach to ICT. The conclusion is that it is both reactive and proactive. It is reactive in the sense that the vision and many of the goals are the same in other European states. Sweden is too small a country to be leading in all developments. The proactive approach is about the Government's efforts to make use of the advantages Sweden has: a high level of education, a society driven by technological progress, technological knowledge, etc. All political parties in Parliament are favourable. ICT is seen as the solution to many problems: growth, unemployment gender inequality, regional development etc. In this regard one may conclude that ICT has created a national policy window for the elite.

- The formal analysis of normative systems as initiated by Alchourrón and Bulygin can be complemented by the analysis of normative positions as pursued by Kanger, Lindahl, Sergot and Jones. The paper is a step towards integrating the two approaches within an algebraic theory of so-called Boolean quasi-orderings (Bqo's). In the general Bqo theory presented, a number of theoretical tools are introduced and elucidated by theorems, in particular those of fragment, connection, coupling and pair coupling. Condition implication structures (cis's) are models of the Bqo theory used for the representation of normative systems. A system of normative positions is introduced as a special kind of cis. The final section is devoted to an example exhibiting a legal mini-system where a cis of normative positions (np-cis) is joined to a descriptive cis.
