Contextualization of Information Systems Studies for Developing Countries

• This thesis project seeks to reconcile perspectives in universalism and localism such that developing countries might benefit from achievements of developed countries in the field of information systems studies while considering the institutional, socio-economic, and contextual configurations particular to their own societies. This project will explore the key concepts borrowed from sociology of science and technology and illustrate their possible uses in information systems studies.
