Method positioning unit and system for communication in a mine

• It is presented a method for safe communication between a portable positioning unit and a tracking unit in a mine. By means of the present method the location of the portable positioning unit and thus the object carrying the unit can be determined with a higher degree of certainty The method comprises the steps of determining (SI) location data pertaining to the location of the portable positioning unit in the mine, generating (S2) a location message comprising the location data, wherein the generating of the location message further includes providing the location data with a message number defining a sequence number of the location message and redundancy data, and transmitting (S3) the location message for reception by the tracking unit. A portable positioning unit and a tracking system are also presented herein.

• L'invention a trait à un procédé pour la communication sécurisée entre une unité de positionnement portative et une unité de poursuite dans une mine. Grâce à ce procédé, la localisation de l'unité de positionnement portative et donc de l'objet qui porte ladite unité peut être déterminée plus sûrement. Ce procédé comprend la détermination (SI) de données de localisation qui se rapportent à la localisation de ladite unité de positionnement portative dans la mine, la génération (S2) d'un message de localisation qui inclut lesdites données de localisation, la génération du message de localisation consistant en outre à fournir les données de localisation avec un numéro de message qui définit un numéro de séquence du message de localisation ainsi qu'avec des données de redondance, et l'émission (S3) dudit de message localisation afin qu'il soit reçu par ladite unité de poursuite. L'invention concerne également une unité de positionnement portative et un système de poursuite.
