Introduction

• This web supplement is primarily devoted to loading protocols. This topic is timely, and offers our readers some of the most up to date information of immediate loading. The authors bring a wide range of clinical experiences to the subject and we are proud to bring our readers this very interesting supplement. Bahat and Sullivan present these clinicians' perspectives on where, when, and how to load dental implants. The papers are well illustrated and should offer clinicians insight into the thought process on when to load implants. Schwartz-Azard presents important new information on patients who received provisional restorations and were followed for 5 years. The paper by Aparicio describes clinical experiences on immediate loading of Zygomatic implants. The implants were followed from 2–5 years.
