• “Congrats, this is your Artist in Residence! - Introducing the artist in the organisational setting” Theatre Director and Actor Victoria Brattström draw on her experience from working as an artist in organisational intervention to reflect on the topic of cultural embeddedness of Artistic Interventions in Organizations. She exemplifies with an experience from being introduced to a group of factory workers with whom she would be working in a long-term artistic residence project, to create perspectives on questions as: •How may artists communicate their art practice in ways to create trust and credibility in organisational settings? •How do we describe/talk about what we do on an everyday bases as part of our artistic work? •What kind of vocabulary and what type of images for describing artistic practice may be useful or prove damaging for a trust-building process in the multi-disciplinary and cross-professional settings of artistic interventions in organisations? •How can preconceptions and misconceptions about artists and their artistic work, that may stand in the way of the intervention process, be unmasked and brought to light in the artists encounter with the organisational settings? •When artists engage in work in organisational interventions as part of their professional artistic practice - what norms and boundaries are challenged within the world of the arts? •What positions are arts and artists traditionally and currently assigned in society?
