Designing of an Enterprise-wide DSS: a laboratory experiment

• The aim of this paper was to discuss the design and development of an ODSS, were several decision-makers, different organization units and several different views can be involved. The questions which arose were: what are these views, how can they influence the decision-making process, how can different views be integrated and how can the participation of members be taken into consideration? A fairly complex organizational environment with several business areas was therefore created, from which decision system support prototypes were developed. These prototypes were developed to simplify both synchronous and asynchronous communication procedures, the exchange of information and information retrieval.
