  • The aim has been to facilitate the choice of right materials and constructions for district heating joints. The study comprised a compilation of views and experiences and an experimental study where the most widely used joint systems in Sweden were evaluated. The results indirectly showed that existing problems are mainly caused by the installation, which, in turn, is to a large extent a consequence of difficult working conditions and demanding installation procedures.
