- This paper presents Hamlin, an augmented reality (AR)system for science education that detects the invisiblephysics forces in nature. It collects and interprets raw datainformation in 3D space and displays spatial visualizationsof it. Students use their smartphones with the Hamlinmobile app to view in real-time the principles the instructoris explaining. Because Hamlin is a visualization tool, notjust a sensor box, it offers many ways to see physics data.This paper discusses how the prototype was implementedfor sound visualizations, and how teachers and students cantoggle various wave and frequency visualizations to tie theconcepts together and improve student comprehension.
