- This volume contains the proceedings of the 2nd Nordic Research Conference on Special Needs Education in Mathematics, which took place at Örebro University in October 7–9, 2003. The theme of the conference was Democracy and Participation – A Challenge for Special Needs education in Mathematics. The programme included plenary lectures, paper presentations, network meetings, a round table discussion and social events. There were more than 70 participants from all Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden), Germany, and the United Kingdom. One of the more important results of the conference was the establishment of a Nordic Research Network on Special Needs Education in Mathematics.

- This work-in-progress report comprises short summaries of most of the presentations given at the GEXcel research conference, which took place at Örebro University 2-4 December, 2010. The conference rounded off the main activities of GEXcel’s Research Theme 10, Love in Our Time – A Question for Feminism, which ran from January through to December 2010. The conference was organised in a workshop format around three subthemes: 1) Gendered Interests in Sexual Love, Care Practices and Erotic Agency, 2) Temporal Dimensions of Loving and Love Activities, and 3) Love as a Strong Force in the Intersection Between Politics and Religion and as a Useful Key Concept for a New Political Theory of Global Revolution. Each workshop/subtheme gathered around ten senior and junior scholars from many different countries and parts of the world.This report is of a work-in-progress character, and thus the texts presented here are to be elaborated further. The reader should also be aware that due to the fact that this is a report of working papers, the language of the papers contributed by non-native English speakers has not been specifically revised.

- The chapters of this volume are the result of the initial activities carried out within the frame of GEXcel’s tenth research theme. Most of the contributor authors participated with presentations at the Opening Seminar of this actual theme on 20 May 2010 or in the Workshop the following day (see Appendix 1 and 2). During the Autumn this year the contributors will be back in Örebro for shorter or longer periods of time to continue their work as visiting fellows, participating in the development and forthcoming activities of this research theme. A separate volume of this Work in Progress Report Series will be published as a first result of the December conference.

Språk och identitet : Rapport från ASLA:s symposium, Södertörns högskola 8–9 maj 2014

- Språk och identitet var temat för ASLA:s symposium som hölls på Södertörns högskola under två dagar i maj 2014. Under symposiet kunde vi ta del av ett fyrtiotal bidrag av föreläsare som rapporterade från forskning inom ett stort antal områden. I flertalet bidrag låg fokus på språkets roll för identitetsskapande processer i arbetsliv, utbildning eller medier. Sammantaget visade bidragen att det språkvetenskapliga fältet erbjuder en rad olika metoder för att analysera språkets roll i konstruktionen och förhandlingen av identitet.I flera bidrag kopplas identitet till flerspråkighet och lärande, medan andra rör identitet och flerspråkighet i arbetslivet, till exempel de nya krav på litteracitet som förändrade organisationsformer för med sig.Tretton av symposiebidragen presenteras i den här volymen. De flesta undersökningarna är gjorda på svenskt språkområde, men till symposiet kom glädjande nog även föredragshållare från en rad andra länder.
