    • discussão a respeito de abordagens interculturais relacionadas às propostas de uma educação para a diversidade. Interrogam-se aspectos relativos à incorporação no currículo escolar de conteúdos provenientes de manifestações populares típicas dos diferentes países que visam atender às demandas por uma educação intercultural. O artigo norteia-se pela questão: como poderíamos experimentar um diálogo intercultural no contexto da música? Para tanto, são apresentados os conceitos de interculturalidade, multiculturalidade e transculturalidade. A seguir, apresentam-se resultados parciais de uma pesquisa em andamento intitulada Processos Interculturaisde Ensino-Aprendizagem com o objetivo de embasar as reflexões em torno da interculturalidade, que no orbe desse projeto, foi realizada por meio de imersão musical.

    • This article has as aim to bring a discuss about the division of pedagogical work between male and female practitioners in preschool groups in Sweden. The main proposal of this article is to analyze the similarities and differences between these practitioners. Thereby we analyze and discuss how responsibilities and tasks are divided between these practitioners in the preschools’ everyday practices. Furthermore, the category “gender” based on Judith Butler’s studies was used as main theorical concept. The study was conducted in two different preschool groups, in which 9 practitioners participated, 7 females and 2 males. Field observations at the groups were used as method in order to be able to get knowledge on how these task divisions were understood by the preschool practitioners. The results based on the field observations and supported by gender studies, indicate that there is no homogeneity of practices among the investigated practitioners, since the female practitioners are mostly responsible to establish rules with the children.

    • This article describes and analyzes factors that motivate and influence young people studying music and choosing music teaching as a career. The research utilizes data gathered from a case study that was carried out during a period of two years at the State University of Santa Catarina. The results show that a personal attraction of an individual to music plays a more important role on that choice than external factors such as family, friends, school or religion. The will to learn music and to learn how to play music instruments is the strongest motivational factor on pursuing a music teaching education program. Knowing what music students think and how they make their choices is an important factor to be considered in the ongoing reform of Brazilian music education curricula. The paper concludes with some examples on topics for further research on music teaching education.

    • Would it be able to think of education on the music teacher course with speciality in for example rock, Brazilian music, Latin American music orwestern classical music? This paper is a study of the instrumental education exemplified by the classes of Prática de Conjunto (Ensemble Playing) at the Music Teaching Course at the State University of Santa Catarina. It presents data concerning the musical preferences of the music teacher students and underlines their expectations in relation to the course. The research was carried out over one year in the form of interviews, observations and questionnaires. The conclusion confirms the importance of instrumental and vocal practice of the students, suggesting that more musical instruments and genres should be accessible on the Music Licentiate Program. It is a study that aims to contribute to the debate about the education of music teachers and, in consequence, support the reforms of Music Licentiate Programs.

    • This article presents data concerning the profile of the students of the Music Education Program at UDESC, their prior musical knowledge, their choice of education, their labor activities during the university years, their expectations, their university entrance exam and so forth. The research was carried out over one year in the form of questionnaires, focus interviews and written documents. The investigation was theoretically and methodologically based on the work of seven research groups (ALFA-EVEDMUS). Similar studies carried out in Brazil were considered as well. The results show that more than half of the students are boys, they are more than twenty years old and have parallel professional activities; a majority chose the Music Education Program as second option with the objective to develop their music knowledge and mainly to study a music instrument; others did not express interest to work in public schools but as private instrument teachers. It is a study that aims to contribute to the debate about the education of music teachers and, as consequence, support the reforms of Music Education Programs

This article presents the analysis of fifteen pedagogical projects of music teacher education in Brazil, aiming to understand the educational process, contribute to the field of curriculum studies in Music Education and to the development of educational quality. It begins by reflecting on the study object as part of music pedagogical research. Then it describes the methodological procedures used and presents the results based on aspects such as curriculum organization, goals and structure. Finally, it discusses the identity of the programs, suggesting educational alternatives as well as future research studies.

    • O objetivo deste artigo é tentar construir uma memória coletiva da produção bibliográfica de pesquisas sobre homens na educação infantil por meio da análise de teses de doutorado e dissertações de mestrado publicadas em programas de pós-graduação no Brasil. Foi realizada uma busca bibliográfica no Banco de Pesquisa de Teses e Dissertações da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) onde foram encontrados 46 estudos (cinco teses e 41 dissertações de mestrado) publicados entre 1996 e 2022. Os resultados mostram que as pesquisas da década de 1990 abrangem a gênese dos estudos sobre os homens na educação infantil, enquanto trabalhos da década de 2000 mostram a inserção de professores do sexo masculino como fenômeno de gênero. Foi identificada uma vasta produção de pesquisas sobre homens na educação infantil entre 2010 e 2019, enquanto a década de 2020 é marcada pela intensificação da produção de conhecimento na área. Nas conclusões, discute-se algumas lacunas na produção acadêmica e a necessidade de ampliação dos estudos que evidenciem os rumos das pesquisas sobre homens na educação infantil na pós-graduação brasileira.
