- This thesis studies the narratives conveyed in 36 Swedish archaeological exhibitions. The aim is to investigate using an intersectional perspective what kind of narratives, identities and meanings are created in the exhibitions. The analysis focuses on the visual, the material, the spatial and the corporeal experiences involved in creating meaning in narratives where the museum visitor’s physical presence and movements in the room are a vital part of the semiotic work. The study develops an analytical method that can be used as a tool to examine four-dimensional narrative worlds. The method is comprised of a combination of tools taken from three different theoretical fields: narrative theory, social semiotics and architectural analysis theory. The objective of the study’s method is to uncover different layers of parallel, intersecting, contradicting or concurrent meanings and narratives in texts, images, sound, material, light and space. The analyses show that there are many different layers of narratives in the exhibitions studied. A visitor can experience meanings with all senses and there is much information in the room that is not mentioned in the exhibition texts. The study’s results can to a great extent be accounted for as norms created by dualism. Some norms are produced in relation to that which is not the norm, while still others are created by the exclusion of alternatives. In the narratives, there is an absence of complexity and alternatives in terms of the big picture in the historical passage of events. The exhibition narratives naturalize notions of stereotypical identities, social groups, borders and hierarchies. The decisive categorization for a subject position in the narratives is gender which, on the one hand, results in two well-defined opposites man/woman. On the other hand, variations on the scale between the opposites are excluded and, thereby, made invisible. Other norms that are created are adult, fair-haired, fair-eyed, fair-skinned, heterosexual, healthy, undamaged and Christian. Another duality created in the narratives presents the Stone Age as nature and the Iron Age as culture, which is also intertwined with the woman as Stone Age and the man as Iron Age.

- The 1962 Missile Crisis is a well-known episode of the Cold War and twentieth-century history. It is documented in a wide variety of sources, and it has been the subject of extensive historical research. But what remains today of the missile sites that once were a focus of world interest? What does a World Crisis in ruin look like? In order to find new ways of looking at the Crisis we conducted archaeological fieldwork, looking for memories in the ground as well as in people's minds. The pictorial results of our efforts are presented in this book.

Who is willing to stay sick for the collective? : – Individual characteristics, experience, and trust

- This paper deals with the collective action dilemma of antibiotic resistance. Despite the collective threat posed by antibiotic resistance, there are limited incentives for individuals to consider the contribution of their decisions to use antibiotics to the spread of resistance. Drawing on a novel survey of Swedish citizens (n=1,906), we study factors linked to i) willingness to accept a physician’s decision not to prescribe antibiotics and ii) willingness to limit personal use of antibiotics voluntary. In our study, 53 percent of the respondents stated that they would be willing to accept the physician’s decision despite disagreeing with it, and trust in the healthcare sector is significantly associated with acceptance. When it comes to people’s willingness to voluntarily abstain from using antibiotics, a majority stated that they are willing or very willing not to take antibiotics. The variation in willingness is best explained by concerns about antibiotic resistance and experience of antibiotic therapy, especially if a respondent has been denied antibiotics. Generalized trust seems to be unrelated to willingness to abstain, but the perception that other people limit their personal use of antibiotics is linked to respondents’ own willingness to do so. Few of the individual characteristics can explain the variation in that decision.

- I Sverige har införandet av obligatorisk IFRS för noterade företag varit omdiskuterat. I boken IFRS – Dilemman och utmaningar diskuteras skälen till detta, med användning av såväl författarnas egen som andras forskning. En aspekt av IFRS är att det är principbaserat och kräver bedömningar vid upprättande av finansiella rapporter. Detta kan leda till brist på harmonisering och skapa svårigheter för exempelvis revisorer. Å andra sidan skulle det sannolikt vara svårt att införa strikta redovisningsregler globalt. En annan aspekt av IFRS är att det baseras på en syn på ägande och företagsstyrning som skiljer sig från den som utgör grunden för svenskt näringsliv. Detta avspeglar sig exempelvis i användning av verkligt värde inom IFRS, och i den traditionellt svaga tillsynen i Sverige.

- Denna bok handlar om rörelsepolitik, det vill säga en social rörelses politiska påverkansmöjligheter. Det är den första studien av en riksorganisation inom den svenska kvinnojoursrörelsen och har såväl ett historiskt som dagsaktuellt anslag. Sveriges Kvinno- och Tjejjourers Riksförbund (SKR) bröt sig ur Riksorganisationen för kvinnojourer och tjejjourer (Roks) i Sverige vid mitten av 1990-talet i samband med en konflikt vars ideologiska kärna var synen på feminism, män och barn. Ur SKR:s perspektiv handlade konflikten också om olika synsätt på organisation, demokrati och öppenhet. I boken analyseras de skiljelinjer som SKR valde att fokusera vid starten och i den fortsatta verksamheten. Samtidigt undersökt vilken påverkan den nya organisationen haft på den politiska dagordningen. Vilka framgångar kan skönjas och vad har offrats på vägen? Här analyseras samtidspolitiska förändringar genom en ideell organisations formering och utveckling och i relation till både det civila samhället och staten.

- År 2020 blir FN:s konvention för barnets rättigheter, ”Barnkonventionen”, svensk lag. Det är första gången som riksdagen har bestämt sig för att inkorporera en av FN:s konventioner för mänskliga rättigheter i svensk rätt. Detta är en utmaning för både domstolar och myndigheter – ingen vet i dag hur man kommer att tolka konventionens artiklar i det enskilda fallet. Barnkonventionen saknar helt domstolspraxis eftersom den till skillnad från Europakonventionen inte har någon domstol. Lagstiftaren har lämnat det till rättstillämparen att avgöra den exakta tolkningen av varje artikel i konventionen.Barnkonventionen antogs av FN:s generalförsamling 1989. I den här boken presenteras en detaljerad rättsdogmatisk analys av varje artikel. Boken är omistlig för den som ska tillämpa Barnkonventionen i svensk rätt under de kommande åren.

Introducerandet sker med förhoppning om ökad effektivitet: inte genom att alla springer snabbare, utan genom ett mer väl genomtänkt och planerat arbete. På så sätt kan onödiga moment reduceras, misstag minskas och mer värde för patienter skapas. Lean har införts på olika sätt i olika organisationer men har en kärna i dess betoning av helhetssyn och processer. Ambitionen i denna bok är att utifrån hälso-och sjukvårdens förutsättningar ge en nyanserad bild av fenomenet.
