- Frågor om våld i nära relationer är numera vanligt förekommande i media, politiska debatter, offentliga utredningar och lagändringar. Men trots detta uppmärksammas sällan äldre personers utsatthet för våld. Anledningarna kan vara flera, men tanken på att äldre kan utsättas för våld i en nära relation är för många avlägsen.Äldre personers utsatthet för våld i nära relationer vill synliggöra att olika typer av våld förekommer mot och bland äldre personer. Men det allra viktigaste är att ge kunskap om hur omgivningen kan uppmärksamma detta och förhindra våld, samt ge hjälp och stöd. Boken belyser det ansvar som olika myndigheter, såsom socialtjänst, hälso- och sjukvård samt tandvård, har. Ett kapitel beskriver rättsprocessen vid en anmälan och ett annat belyser vilka svårigheter en äldre person kan ha när det gäller att söka hjälp och att bryta upp från en relation. Flera kapitel innehåller konkreta råd för hur exempelvis personal kan ge hjälp och stöd.Äldre personers utsatthet för våld i nära relationer är i första hand skriven för högskoleutbildningar inom socialt arbete, vård, omsorg och medicin. Boken kan också vara till nytta för alla som vill öka sin kunskap om äldre personers utsatthet för våld i nära relationer.

- The mobility to second homes, sometimes referred to as residential tourism, can be conceptually framed within the emerging concept of lifestyle mobilities. Although related, it differs from tourism in that it refers to relatively permanent movement which entails the intention and material efforts to create a home and a living in the destination context. Tourism mobility is facilitated by agents offering services and products enabling experiences of novelty, difference, authenticity, quality of life and the like. Lifestyle mobilities in many ways taps into this production system but also include products and services related to housing, furbishing and to making a living in place. On an international level the production system is further complicated. In migration studies, the concept of a migration industry refers to the amalgam of agents making a profit out of catering to the needs of migrants. This study is a joint reflection on the production dimension of lifestyle mobilities in the European context. We explore the agents brokering lifestyle for Swedes in Malta; Swedish rural municipalities' place marketing in the Netherlands; and the role of lifestyle media in the Algarve, Portugal. We aim to answer the question: “how (if at all) could the concept of a migration industry be applied to lifestyle mobilities?”.

A Sustainable Everyday Life for Counterurbanising Swedish Families

- Even though urbanisation is the prevailing trend in modern societies, the net migration balance of Sweden's largest cities has been negative for the past few years, and overrepresented among these migrants are families with young children. The stories of counterurbanisation have often relied on rather stereotypical representations of unsustainable city life versus sustainable rural life, thus strengthening the much criticised rural-urban binary. The aim of this article is to explore how the counterurbanising families' ideas of "a sustainable everyday life" developed during and after the migration event. We uncover the needs, ideological foundations, practices, capacities, social atmosphere, temporality, and place-based understanding of one's own role and responsibilities in society by studying what the families do in their everyday lives, what they are striving to achieve, and how they understand sustainability. Counterurbanising families represent a driven group that are not primarily guided by economic wants-as many of their active choices are lifestyle-driven. Our theoretical foundation highlights the structures and dimensions of social sustainability, relational place, and learning, contrasted with the subjectivity of everyday life in the urban-rural transition. Forty-five in-depth interviews (1-2 h) were conducted via video conference software, and the material was analysed using thematic analysis. The findings indicate that the views and understandings of social sustainability among counterurbanising young families highlight place-based needs and conditions, with implications for sustainability and mobility research, individuals, and contemporary society as a whole in navigating the somewhat diminishing rural-urban dichotomy.
