- Artiklen analyserer danske nyhedsmediers beskrivelser af immigranter og efterkommere. Beskrivelserne illustrerer, hvordan køn, race, seksualitet og nationalitet er forbundet og intersekterer med hinanden. Artiklen viser, hvordan beskrivelserne af minoriteterne spiller en rolle i konstruktionen af dansk nationalitet. Den viser også, hvordan opfattelser af køn og kønsmæssig ligestilling og seksuel frihed bliver centrale i forhandlingerne om national inklusion og eksklusion; samt hvordan racial hvidhed og danskhed konstrueres som kropsliggørelsen af kønsmæssig ligestilling.

- Forfatter Rikke Andreassen har som den første forsker nogen sinde fået uhindret og ubegrænset adgang til både DR og TV2s arkiver. Hun har derfor – som noget nyt i dansk forskning – været i stand til at inddrage tv-nyheder i en analyse, der strækker sig over en længere periode. Gennem analyser af mere 300 avisartikler og 300 nyhedsindslag fra 1980’erne til i dag viser hun, hvordan medierne har beskrevet etniske minoriteter. Medierne beskriver overvejende etniske minoriteter negativt og i stereotyper som ’den undertrykte indvandrerkvinde’ og ’den seksuelt aggressive muslimske mand’. Bogen illustrerer, hvordan medieformidlingen fx har betydning for danskernes opfattelser af køn og seksualitet. Andreassen viser, hvordan mediefremstillingen af etniske minoritetskvinder som undertrykte spiller en væsentlig rolle i fastholdelsen af opfattelsen af, at der eksisterer kønsmæssig ligestilling i Danmark.

- Digital tools facilitating everything from health to education have been introduced at a rapid pace to replace physical meetings and allow for social distancing measures as the Covid-19 pandemic has sped up the drive to large-scale digitalisation. This rapid digitalisation enhances the already ongoing process of datafication, namely turning ever-increasing aspects of our identities, practices, and societal structures into data. Through an analysis of empirical examples of datafication in three important areas of the welfare state – employment services, public service media, and the corrections sector – we draw attention to some of the inherent problems of datafication in the Nordic welfare states. The analysis throws critical light on automated decision-making processes and illustrates how the ideology of dataism has become increasingly entangled with welfare provision. We end the article with a call to develop specific measures and policies to enable the development of the data welfare state, with media and communication scholars playing a crucial role.

- The article shows how the Danish news media’s portrayals of meetings between visible minority males and ethnically Danish females have participated in constructing certain images of gender, sexuality and race/ethnicity. It illustrates how understandings of these categories are interwoven with understandings of nationality and Danishness, and argues that in order to understand constructions of nationalities, scholars need to take gender, race/ethnicity and sexuality into consideration. The article shows how ethnically Danish females have been constructed as symbolic reproducers of the nation, and how sexual assaults against ethnically Danish women therefore have been interpreted as assaults against the nation. The article explains how this understanding has been at play in rape narratives where gender – and women’s responsibility for rape – has been articulated in rape cases with white ethnically Danish perpetrators whereas race/ethnicity has been articulated as an explanation for rape in cases with visible minority perpetrators.

- Denne artikel viser, at der er diskrepans mellem danskeres kollektive erindringer om feministisk bevægelser og historiske forhold om kvindebevægelser og feminismen i Danmark. I det følgende vil kollektive erindringer om feminisme og kvindebevægelser blive belyst ud fra 40 interviews med tilfældigt udvalgte danskere, der er repræsentative for den danske befolkning i alder, køn, etnicitet, sociale miljøer og seksuel orientering. De erindringer og fremstillinger af feminisme, som udtrykkes, vil blive belyst i forhold til historiske udviklinger fra 1960’erne til i dag. Interviewene illustrerer tydeligt, at der ikke er én kollektiv erindring om kvindebevægelser, ligesom der ikke er ét bestemt sæt associationer, der forbindes med feminisme. Men der er en række fællestræk i interviewene, og specielt en række fællestræk i de karaktertræk, der forbindes med feminisme, kvindebevægelse og feminister.
