- In 2011, circus as an art form had only recently entered into the circuits of artistic education at a university level and into artistic research. A working group at the Circus department Stockholm University of the Arts, formely knows as DOCH, has been teaching, analyzing and documenting a particular course that concerned the methods of artistic exploration in circus. The purpose of the project was to address the following question: which pedagogical methods can we develop to prepare students for the methods of artistic exploration and research, specifically in circus? Or in other words: how can we learn the method of teaching the methods of artistic research in the field of circus? The described project was initiated and directed by Marie-Andrée Robitaille. This documentation was written by Camilla Damkjaer in collaboration with Marie-Andrée Robitaille and the presentation was made with the participation of circus students from the bachelor program in circus arts namely Nathalie Bertholio, Quim Giron Figuerola, Patrik Elmnert.

- When we speak of practice-led research, we tend to mean research combined with professional artistic practice. At the same time, we increasingly try to emphasise and make visible less institutionalised artistic practices. But can we engage in activities like amateur practices in the name of research? This article is the tale of a researcher who ventures among performance gymnasts, and a discussion of the questions that arise from participation in non-scenic performance practices.

- This project started from the idea that the premise of the performing arts is to capture people’s attention. But at the same time our attention is under pressure through experience economy, digitalisation and work-life conditions. We consider it urgent to work with how to find ways of creating sustainable relations to attention within this field. The purpose was therefore to develop a more sustainable relation to attention within the performing arts, in the meeting with meditative practices. The research questions we are working with are the following: - In which ways can the use of meditative practices contribute to a more sustainable relation to attention in the performing arts and in artistic education?- How can we create an increased awareness of the relation between artistic choices and the demands on practitioners’ and audiences’ attention?

The chapter adresses the often contradictory ideas and assumptions concerning body, gender and sexuality that a yoga practitioner may meet in a Scandinavian context.
